Steel ducked as the gun was fired. The sidearm's bullet going straight into a monitor. Steel quickly dashed back as Raleigh lowered the gun. The gun went off a second time as Steel grabbed the man's wrist. The bullet ricocheted.
Raleigh then pulled out a knife and tried to stab Steel with it. But he grabbed the other man's wrist as well and forced them to cross. The gun went off again this time there was a meaty impact as the guard that was in the room had his head blown off. They both glanced at the bloody scene before looking back at each other.
Steel head butted him clicking a button on the gun causing the mag to drop out. Then he kicked the man back while taking the knife out of his hand. Raleigh backed up and pointed the gun. Getting several clicks in response while his nose bled.
The man tossed the gun at Steel before darting straight at Steel brandishing a pair of knives he pulled out. Steel batted the gun to the side and stabbed with the knife he took. He stabbed it right in between the metal plates that protected his chest and abdomen. Then one of the man's knives sparked off Steel's helmet as he jumped back.
But Steel grunted in pain as he felt something piercing his side. On his helmet there was a notice as his suit was breached. While the placement of the knife made it difficult to move without damaging his internal organs.
But the man was now grinning, even taking a moment to wipe the blood from his face while Steel pulled out the knife from his side. "Most of my knives are poison-laced. Some are lethal and some are not. I wonder which one you got?"
Steel frowned, oh great now he has to worry about getting to a medical facility. He pulled his knife out of his sheath and dashed forward. Intent on taking this guy down before anyone else arrived.
As a minute passed he felt his vision get blurry but that was all that occurred. The man seemed just as annoyed that nothing was happening. But Steel was switching from watching his opponent to listening, like he did back on that research vessel.
He still remembered the layout of the room. Now he just needed to remember his location and he would be fine. Which was all well and good in theory. But as Steel's vision disappeared more and more it got harder to avoid the man's attack.
"Must be one of my nonlethal ones. Otherwise I would have noticed what was happening by now." Steel could hear as the man's arm quickly moved as he threw a knife. Steel moved to the side out of the knife. He could hear it whistle past him and embed in something metal.
As he unsheathed another knife, Steel darted forward going low and instead of stabbing the man he full-on tackled the man. Steel could feel as the security door broke and then as another door broke.
There was a scream of someone as he felt another pair of knives enter his body. One penetrated a plate near his neck. Another was stabbed under his arm. He dug his feet in and sped up when he felt something else break. This time he thinks it was a window as he felt his body go weightless as Raleigh fell out of his grasp, and they both fell a few feet before landing on solid ground.
Steel could hear Raleigh let out a breath of pain. He was still conscious, how annoying. Raleigh pulled himself up, probably intent on fighting some more. But Steel was done with this. He pulled his Pyre-21 side arm and shot two times where the man's legs were located. There was a scream of pain when the man collapsed.
Steel could now feel his lungs burning, shit he was exposed to at least two more poisons. This might end up being a problem. He could hear footsteps as several people ran up.
"Cadet Steel, did you just run through a wall?" He heard Corporal Wise ask.
"I have no clue. I am as blind as a Kamot Bat at the moment. He has various poisons on his knives." He groaned in pain as he sat up. "Speaking of which, I was exposed to two more poisons and stabbed. Can you pull the knives out?"
"That is not a good idea." He heard Corporal Feathertail cut in. "I think one of them went into an artery. You said they were poison-laced?"
"Yes sir, normally I wouldn't believe him but I lost my sight and went blind half-way through the fight." Steel answered honestly.
"Okay, someone search- hap shippa! That is Raleigh the Knife Wielder!" Feathertail seemed surprised for a moment, "someone search him. I will have to patch him up after. He is wanted alive for a fortune. He is known for raiding colonies, rape, selling drugs, and being part of the underground slave trade."
"That is good and all but what is a 'hap shippa'?" Steel asked, getting laughter out of the other soldiers.
"Shit!" Tani cursed, "take them down. We can sort them out later. The LT and Cadet Steel are in trouble!"
"Finally! I get to shoot someone." Wise pulled out her weapon and let several bolts fly. Cadet Charlie ducked as one of the hired guns pulled his piece and aimed it at her. She grabbed his face with her cybernetic hand and smashed it into a nearby wall.
The head exploded and Cadet Charlie was stunned. While the hired guns were terrified, 'the military was brutal' was all they could think. The coward from earlier, the leader of these hired guns, was the first to react.
He raised his arms and dropped his gun, "I surrender! Please don't kill me!" The other soldiers all followed suit. Dropping their weapons.
"Good job Cadet Charlie, you scared them shitless. Wise, Feathertail, and Charlie, stay here and detain the prisoners. The rest of you, follow me. We are going into the mansion." Tani called out as she charged toward the mansion.
The two guards at the door raised their weapons. But Tani and the others fired quickly scorching the two guards with multiple stun shots. Some scorched the wall around the guards. Tani kicked in the door and ran straight into a sitting room where a pair were in the middle of sex.
"Hand, arrest them. The rest of you clear the other rooms." Tani stepped back outside to see Cornwall exiting another room. "Where's Cadet Steel?"
"He went to the security room with the 'head guard' but the markings on his armor were those of a pirate." Cornwall answered. "Steel sent us the schematics of the building." He pulled it up quickly. "Looks like it is that way." He answered before running in a direction.
As soon as they entered they were treated to the sight of Cadet Steel charging through a door. He was carrying another person clearly trying to do as much damage to each other as possible, especially as he ran through another door. They ran up and saw in the security room a dead body with its head blown off.
Likely Steel's handy work. She looked over and saw Steel had run through a wall this time but saw Wise and Feathertail were running up to him. Then as the other guy was getting up two shots were fired and he screamed in pain.
"I think Steel has that covered. Come on, we have to get to the basement." Cornwall pointed out. Tani agreed and nodded running to where the map showed an access point into the secret basement.
They arrived at the basement quickly enough where a wall was just opening up to reveal some more pirates, but they looked far less civil. Tani fired quickly with her stun gun. Intent on getting to the people that were held in the basement.
She ran past them while they were knocked down. Practically jumping down the stairs. She darted to the side where a pair on a couch were stunned by her appearance and then were stunned by her rifle shots. Running past she passed four rooms, one of which she could hear grunting in. But then she arrived at her destination.
A large chamber with a large number of movable cages with people inside. "We don't have enough manpower. Cadet March and Santez start freeing people. Cornwall, call the Major and request more troops and a prison transport. Then tell him what we discovered." She instructed before turning around and going back to clear the four rooms she passed by.
Tani kicked open the first one and discovered an empty room. She then turned around and kicked open another door. Finding a heavily scarred man with a prosthetic arm pinning a woman down as he thrust into her.
"Get Off Me!" The woman screamed between tears.
Tani fired several shots into the man and then jumped over to knock down another door when she saw the man falling over. But apparently these rooms were somewhat soundproof. But not soundproof enough as she discovered after kicking open the next door.
The man in this room was ready as he had moved the woman he was fucking to use her as a human shield. As the door opened he had his gun pointed at the woman. "Drop it or the woman dies."
Tani growled angrily when the door behind her opened as well with another person stepping out with a gun pointed at her. She took a deep breath and then tossed the gun backwards at the person behind her.
The person behind her fired his gun, his bullet hitting the gun she threw. Causing it to explode in a static blue. Instantly stunning him and taking him down.
The person in front of her fired his gun, his bullets bouncing off her armor. She jumped forward smacking the gun out of his hand. Then as she knocked him to the bed she punched toward his head, her hand going into his open mouth as he screamed.
She grabbed something solid in the back of his throat and pulled. Ripping out his jaw and tearing his neck in two. She looked over at the woman who was stunned before she jumped forward and hugged Tani.
"Thank you, thank you so much." Tani rolled her eyes and pushed the woman back.
"Tani, Major Mendez sent down some Mercenaries and the Sand Snakes. The Station Governor sent a prison transport." Cornwall reported.
