Jace pulled himself up and was about to run toward the injured purple skinned creature. But before he got even a step forward he felt an impact and was thrown to the side toward what used to be the roof.
It was cracked and partially falling apart so it was no surprise when he went right through the roof. But it was a surprise that he found himself falling from what should be this building's third floor.
Jace holstered his pistol as he looked up to see some additional rubble following him down. But not the entire section he was falling in before. It was some of the wall and whatever the sliding section had been pushing.
He looked down and saw a bunch of indicators for enemy targets. He was falling right into the front entrance of the building. It appeared that the enemy had set up some fortifications. They even had something that looked like a tank that his new allied forces were struggling with. Along with the constant heavy fire from a plasma bolt based turret weapon.
Jace would secure this area and then start heading to the approximate location of the jamming device that his HUD was showing him.
He took a punching downward stance while falling. He then pulled his fist back and pushed some of the electricity that was in his body into that fist. It was just about the last bit he had. He would have to drain something if he wanted some more electricity to use.
BOOM! BOOOOM! KRISSH!
There was first a sonic boom as him punching broke the sound barrier. There was then the impact into the ground as his punch created a crater in the center of the enemy encampment. It was followed by electricity moving through the ground and into a few of the larger enemy devices, disabling them.
While a wave of wind hit the nearby enemies, knocking them on their ass. Jace stood up and checked his armor's status with the HUD. It was still undamaged from him doing an attack like that. But he could feel an ache in his joints from falling from that high up.
Jace ran toward the tank which had giant rubber wheels. It had the wheeled section with a body on top of it. Then there was the stationary cannon section, the cannon barrel itself was actually short.
He stopped by an enemy soldier that looked like it was about to throw one of those grenades. Jace pulled the whole bangle out of the enemy's hand. Spinning the Pyre out his holster he fired at the grenade in the enemy's hand as he ran away.
The explosion was a combination of blue and purple fire as the enemy began burning alive. Its blue skin melted off its face as it fell into a lifeless clump of burning skin, blood, and bone. He then turned back to the tank, holstering his Pyre again.
Jace jumped up quickly using the wheel of the tank to propel himself over it. He looked down and spotted a hatch on the body of the tank.
He landed with a metal thumb on the top of the tank. He moved to the hatch and tried to open it gently at first. But when it did not move he put his strength into it and tore the hatch door off. He threw the hatch away, it flew away and he looked down inside to see an Ola.
The Ola screeched in surprise and then tried to fumble and pull out its sidearm. But Jace grabbed it by the collar and threw it away as well. It screeched creating an almost comical scene as it flipped head over heels through the air. Jace pulled a grenade off of the bangle of grenades he had in hand. He dropped the bangle into the tank. Then he pressed a button on the grenade and it began beeping while five lights lit up and then one of them went dark.
He dropped the grenade into the hole. He then turned around and jumped off the tank. Landing in what might have once been a small building of some kind. He couldn't really tell without knowing more about Victorium culture.
There was another large explosion as the hatch, the barrel, and even coming out the underside of the tank was a combination of blue, purple, and yellow flames. There were then secondary explosions. But Jace was already running in the direction where the jamming device was supposed to be located.
The explosion had caught the attention of everyone on the battlefield. But Jace was closer to a line of enemies who had taken shelter in some type of building and was using it as cover from Jace's new allies.
Jace, under the watchful gaze of both sides, watched as he lowered himself and went right through a wall in the enemy held building that was preventing the allied forces from advancing.
The enemy was more than surprised as he came behind them through a wall. But before the nearest one could even react, Jace grabbed the Accer by the neck. Then without even meaning to he felt the bioelectricity drain out of the Accer. The Accer was not dead but it did go limp as it went into a state of unconsciousness.
Jace threw it out of the opening that the enemy was using to gun down his new allies. Then jumped toward the next one. A Mar'talic with plasma rifle. Jace kicked it while taking the gun. He then aimed at a grenade that was hanging from the Mar'talic's hip. Single purple glob of plasma hit the grenade.
It was followed by an explosion that caught them off guard. Jace then fired at a few more times hitting armor and people that would screech in surprise before yelling. The gun then overheated and stopped firing while what he would describe as the 'sights' popped up with a blue cylinder. Inside the blue cylinder was an empty tube.
Must be the ammunition for the weapon, he would have to figure it out later as he just tossed the weapon at an Ola. The Ola caught it and then screamed, tossing the gun out of its hands, it began waving its hand like it just caught something hot.
Jace put that thought in his mind for later as he jumped toward another Mar'talic. These ones were not wearing the same type of armor as the ones he encountered in the tower. There was a good chance they sent their most elite soldiers after the VIPs that he and his squad came to protect.
This Mar'talic pulled out its side arm. But Jace just pulled his own and fired a single shot. The bullet went right through its head. The Mar'talic's head snapped back as it died. Jace then used the falling corpse as a stepping stone as he jumped off its crumbling body and up into the second floor. There was a hole in the roof that was above the Mar'talic that he was going to use.
The second floor had fewer enemies on it. But Jace ran towards the nearest one while pulling out his knife. He fired his Pyre at a pair of enemies that were farther away. One of them was a blob that was operating a weapon that looked like a heavy weapons turret. The other was another of those purple skinned creatures.
He cut through the leg of a Tacole that he encountered and followed it up by firing his Pyre into the Tacole's head. He then aimed and fired several more times at one end of the building while ignoring the surprised aliens behind him. Then he moved to the other side of the Tacole's large corpse and used it as cover as the other aliens began shooting at him. He fired a few more shots and then had to reload again.
He now only had two magazines left for the Pyre. The magazine he had just loaded and another magazine. He peaked out to see they were really laying into the body of the Tacole. Probably trying to shoot through it.
After a moment to breathe. Jace picked up the corpse of the Tacole. Lifting it up and moving toward the enemy. He then threw the body at the nearest enemy and quickly fired at the rest of them. A few seconds later and the second floor of this building was quiet.
So he holstered his Pyre and walked over to the turret emplacement. He tore it off the emplacement. He then tilted his head to the side as a bolt went right past his head. He looked at where it came from and saw some of his new allies ducking behind cover.
Jace shook his head and jumped back down the hole he jumped up through. The enemy had begun to recover from his blitz attack. But when one of the Hydragentia saw him it pointed and screeched before it tried to run out of a hole in the wall it was using to shoot out of.
But Jace unleashed a barrage of plasma bolts from the heavy weapon he had picked up. He did a full sweep of the room. Ignoring the explosions as he hit grenades and other things that had a volatile reaction to being shot.
