Chapter 66
Samara's duties along with her arranged plans to sneak out temporarily has made her extremely busy these past few days. She's had less frequent meetings with Walden, she hasn't even been able to see Valledor nor update him about their plans, but not to worry, she's made certain that even if sky falls down today, nothing will stop her from going to visit the rogue king.
She's made sure to prepare well ahead and now she's ready, she'll be departing from the night shadow pack house tonight and by the next day, she would have gotten to her destination.
She then called into her room, one of the night shadow guards working for her.
"Raymond!!!!"
He was close by, and so he heard her call him, rushing in as soon as she did.
"Yes, madame?" He answered.
"What's the update?"
"Done ma'am. I've put some men in place to cover up for us while we're gone, and I've also made certain that only those on our team will be on guard duty tonight. No one will see us when we leave."
She nodded. "Good, and have you prepared the vehicle?"
"Yes ma'am, we will have to go by foot to leave this place unnoticed, but I've prepared a vehicle that will drive us to our destination as soon as we leave the terrain."
"Very well then, go and survey the grounds one more time, and when you've made certain that the coast is clear, we may then go."
He bowed before leaving, "yes, ma'am."

About half an hour later, Samara and the guard left the pack house on foot, both wearing dark cloaks to make them undiscoverable from afar. As soon as they've traveled a small distance, they both shifted to their wolf forms, running with faster legs so they could cover more grounds as there was limited time.
Running on wolf legs for more than an hour finally brought them close to the border, and there, hidden well in a big cave was the vehicle they were supposed to depart with.
They shifted back and Samara ordered him to drive the car out before she entered. Raymond entered the cave and started the car, it was on old beaten up car that emitted lots of loud vooming noises and smoke, but could still do the job in taking them where they wanted.
They didn't have to bother about the border guards on duty hearing them, because as Raymond had arranged, they were all on Samara's team and apart from the fact that they were aware of her plans, they supported her well.
"Vrooommmmm!!!! Vroooooommmmm!!!!" Came the car's loud noises again as Raymond drove it out of the cave. The headlights were bad but he could still manage to see, and then suddenly, unknown men sprang from hidden places surrounding the cave. Surprisingly, they didn't come near him, they headed straight to attack Samara. Raymond quickly tried to open the car door to rescue her, but it had been jammed, no doubt the work of these men, and thanks to the car's noises, he didn't even notice.
"Madame!!!!!!" He yelled as he watched the men attack Samara. She tried to fight them off but they all overpowered her in their numbers. One of them quickly crept up behind her to cover her nose with a white handkerchief. Immediately she inhaled the fragrance of the liquid poured on it, she closed her eyes, drifting into unconsciousness.
"Madame!!!!!!!" Raymond screamed again, trying to get out of the car desperately, trying to bust out through the other doors, but of course, the men thought well ahead of their attack, jamming them all so he couldn't escape, not until they had their way with Samara.
He sadly watched as they covered her face with a black sac after she'd fallen asleep, he watched as they tied up her hands and legs, he watched as they threw her into the boot of their hidden vehicle, he watched as they kidnapped her, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

Raymond's wolf ran and ran, until he reached the packhouse, he was so distorted, he didn't even remember to shift back before approaching the guards.
The men at the gate, upon spotting the strange wolf, attempted to bring out their weapons.
"Who goes there???? Reveal yourself...." they demanded.
Raymond realized then that he was on a lower eye level than them and quickly took his human form, the guards recognized him immediately.
"Oh um.... Sorry sire, we didn't expect it to be you."
He hurriedly brushed off their statement. "Open the gates and let me in now!" He commanded, "I need to see the alpha immediately!"
They wanted to ask what was the matter, why did he suddenly return and why madame Samara didn't return with him, but they knew better.
"Sire, we are sorry, but the alpha is not in the mood to...."
"Just let me in!!! It's an emergency!!!!"
It was no use trying to argue with a wolf of higher ranking, lest they get themselves into trouble, it was best for master Raymond to go the alpha to see things for himself. No point standing in his way.
"Right away sire!" The men proceeded to open the gates, letting him in as he hurriedly ran past them, straight to the Alpha's chambers. The guards were left wondering what exactly had happened, why they didn't go on with the mission as planned and where the hell madame Samara was.
As Raymond ran through the large halls of the packhouse, his mind could not help but travel back to the unfortunate occurrence that took place tonight.
That car!!! He nearly suffocated in that car! His determination was what kept him alive and gave him the strength to rip through the car roof with his bare claws. He'd gotten injured badly, but at least he got out.
Who in the goddesses name where those men? How did they find out about their plans? Why had they left him and taken her instead? What did they want with madame Samara?
