My heart broke when I saw how Maezy treated her mother. After threatening to report her to the police, Nag Zabeth bolted away faster than a flash of lightning. My shoulders also drooped in frustration, but I swore I wouldn't stop until I get what I want.
I could have asked my parents directly about it, but I didn't want to. I wanted to blast their minds with the news that I had already discovered their secret. I never felt bad at them -- and what right did I have if I would? They picked me up from wherever I was and loved me as their own. My only wish was to know why my mother gave me to someone else.
"I don't want you to talk to my mother because you will only confuse her," Maezy's voice broke into my thoughts.
I got startled. I didn't expect she was still there because my attention was on Nang Zabeth, who fled before me.
"I don't understand," I said, giving her a smirk afterward. "Why would I confuse her?"
She got tongue-tied for a while, throwing me a startled look. It seemed she realized she had said something she shouldn't have.
"By the way, don't ever think I am afraid that you have seen Tim and me. Because you know in your heart that you are also keeping a secret. How about telling Ara about Tim and me, and I will tell Zed about Kim and you?"
I got lost for words, my eyes glued on her for a moment. I never saw this coming. I hadn't gotten over yet when she spoke again.
"However, your secret is safe as long as you will also shut your mouth."
"Just when did you know about us?" I finally found the courage to admit my secret.
Maezy laughed contemptuously and shook her head.
"I could believe how easily you forget. We were friends in Japan, Jakara! Don't you remember that night when you stripped off your lingerie and danced before a man?"
I then got the clue that she must be one of the culprits of the incident that traumatized me.
"I get it now, Maezy! You were the one who sold me to Josh that night."
She tossed back her head and continued laughing. I indeed saw a devil in a woman's clothing before me.
"You have no proof of that. But I have proof on how you shamelessly seduced a man."
She didn't wait for me to react. He held out her phone at me so that I could see the screen. Even before she pressed the video with her finger, my heartbeats had already hammered against my chest.
I glanced at Maezy and met her wicked smile. She then bit her lower lip and pressed a finger on the screen. And there I saw myself grinding my body to the rhythm of an erotic music floating in the background.
I wore a pair of black lingerie in the video. And as I gracefully swayed my body according to the beats, I also stripped off those undies one by one. And even if I looked tipsy already and kept on staggering as I moved around, I was still laughing.
To my horror, a naked man came out from somewhere and I identified him as Josh. He then walked towards me and lifted me off the floor. Laying naked before him, he didn't waste time. He hovered over me right away, wagging his rock-hard wand.
However, as he began to kiss me on my neck, the door opened and Kim came in. He immediately punched and kicked Josh while his angry curses reverberated in the room.
I closed my eyes, reluctant to see Kim doing a crime. But then, I heard a loud explosion! And when I opened my eyes, I saw Kim aiming a gun at Josh.
I closed my eyes again, too horrified to continue watching. Large drops of sweat already tricked my temple while my legs felt like jelly. However, my desire to know what happened won me over, so I opened my eyes again. I then saw Josh on the floor, lying in a pool of blood.
I screamed, and my voice blended with my screaming on the screen. Then, hearing myself, I got curious about how I reacted. I opened my eyes and saw myself grabbing my clothes on the floor before I bolted out of the room.
I was still shaking all over when Maezy's voice pierced into my ears.
"Do you like the video?"
My lips were trembling as I gazed at Maezy, and my tears were flooding into my face. Realizations hit me, but my mind was too shattered to even start thinking of how to answer her.
"I know you're shocked, so I'll go ahead. Just be reminded that if you go against my will, you know what I will do. I'm not afraid to lose Kim; he's never mine in the first place. But I don't want to lose your best friend's boyfriend."
I dropped myself on the nearest bench -- my mind in a huge mess. A hundred questions stormed into my thoughts, and my inability to answer them frustrated me so much.
My heart couldn't take it any longer that I broke down into a loud sob. And yet, I still couldn't stop my brain from raising some questions.
Kim attempted to murder Josh. Could that be the reason why Josh was still not stinking behind the jail bars?
Where did I go after I left the room? Did some bad guys catch me and do something I couldn't even imagine thinking?
According to Kim and many others, Kim failed to find some evidence of what happened to me afterward. I'm sure that establishments such as that always had CCTVs. Who deleted the video?
What was Maezy's participation in this incident? Why did she keep that video?
Then suddenly, a scene flashed in my mind. I saw myself clutching my clothes as I ran out of the room. The corridors were dark and quiet as I made several turns. But then three drunk men came from an opposite corridor.
I paused for a while, looking at them fearfully. But before I could start running again, one of them dragged me inside the nearest room. And once we were inside, the man threw me on the bed. I looked around, looking for ways to escape while glints of fear emitted from my eyes.
However, the man didn't waste time. He immediately stripped off his clothes and forced himself on me. I screamed and kicked him, but my drunkenness failed me to fight against his strength.
Defeated and emotionally battered, I lay helpless and drained of strength while that man devoured and pounced on me.
And just when I thought I would already die, the door opened. I hoped it was already Kim coming in to rescue me. But to my horror, I saw another two men. One of them was Zed.
