Samantha didn't leave the next morning, or the next, or the next, and it had been three weeks since that night. Of course I had tried to get her to leave, but she'd always used Diego as her reason to stay. I didn't buy it until Diego came to Antonio and I, saying he wanted Samantha to stay. I didn't believe that Diego really wanted her to stay, so I tried to get him to tell me if Samantha did anything, but he said he was learning to be forgiving so he wanted her to stay. I was shocked to say the least, but his decision made Antonio really happy.
I woke up later than usual, which was unusual seeing as my body had a wake up time, which was 6am. For some reason, everything seemed slow and dull, and I felt dizzy and tired even though I just woke up, and it had been like that for the past week. I searched the room, but I couldn't find Antonio anywhere, which could only mean he left for work early.
I strolled lazily down the stairs to make breakfast when I heard noise coming from the dining area, I rushed there immediately only to find Samantha smiling at Diego as she served him pancakes in that skimpy lacy night dress.
"You're up," Antonio walked towards me, planting a chaste kiss on my lips as he took a sip from his coffee mug. How hadn't he left for work yet? What the hell did Samantha have on? Why the hell was my blood boiling? What the fuck was happening?
"Why are you still here?" I asked Antonio instead. Antonio cocked his head to the side, searching my face for any explanation as to why I was cranky. Hell, even I didn't know why I was cranky.
"Good morning, Sewa, do you want some pancakes? I made a lot, and Antonio didn't have any," Samantha's annoying cherry voice made me nauseous; literally. I gagged.
Why the hell would he eat anything she made? I shot her a look of disgust. I don't know why, but for some reason I was feeling very irritated.
"I'm not hungry," I rolled my eyes and made a move to leave the dining area, but Antonio grabbed my arm.
"Are you okay?" He asked me. I looked from his head to toe and I nodded, swatting his hand away from mine. The smell of the pancakes Samantha made, mixed with the smell of Antonio's coffee, went straight into my head and it was like I was smelling raw spoiled meat. My eyes were spinning, and I knew that if I didn't find a place to sit, I'd fall to the ground, but I couldn't stay near the sources of the smell.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Diego ran to me, hugging my legs to his small body. I smiled down at him, ruffling his hair.
"I think I may be coming down with a fever, but I'll be fine darling," I smiled. I turned to Samantha and Antonio wishing I could just throw their food out. Why did their food smell that way?
"Enjoy your time at work," I managed to say to Antonio before I ran back up to my room, and straight to the restroom, pouring out the contents of my stomach into the toilet. When I was done, I barely had anything left inside me, except the question that lingered over my head; what the hell is wrong with my mood?
I got into the shower, to get ready for work, while thinking about what could be wrong with me. I sighed as I put my clothes on.
When I got to work, my crankiness didn't stop, everything and everyone disgusted me to no end.
"Hey, Dan, I'm tired of your stupid girlfriend in my house, come get her," I rolled my eyes at Dan when he came in to drop a file I had to work on in my office.
"What the hell is wrong with you today? Did you wake up on the wrong side of your bed today?" He asked, trying to mock me and totally ignoring what I said.
"If you don't come get her, I'd do something horrible and I swear I'll say you're the mastermind!" I threatened him.
"I can't deal with you when you're like this. Wake up Sewa, I'm not Antonio so I don't care about you and your stupid mood swings. If you're on your period go get some good dicking from him." Dan rolled his eyes at me. It was then it hit me, I hadn't seen my period yet. I picked up my phone and opened the calendar app. I gasped, I was four days late, and I didn't even notice. Thankfully, it was lunchtime so I grabbed my purse after telling Dan to take care of work for me. I rushed to the pharmacy to get some pregnancy test packs, after which I went home.
I got four different packs and peed on them, closing my eyes as I waited for the results. I didn't know what or how to fee. What if I was pregnant? What and how would Antonio feel about it? We never talked about having more kids, or if he'd like some more children, so I didn't know what to expect with him. I took a deep breath. Who knows? I might not even be pregnant, and may be coming down with something.
My timer went off and I checked the first test, it was negative. I let out a breath of relief. I checked the other three at the same time thinking I was clear, but I was wrong, I was very pregnant. I leaned against the bed frame in the room, with my hands over my lips. Why the hell was I pregnant? Tears pooled and fell freely from my eyes, thinking about the time four weeks ago when Antonio and I were almost inseparable and he fucked me good. I hadn't been on the pill, and he wasn't wearing any condoms.
I cried my eyes out while packing up the used tests to dispose them. I texted Antonio immediately, telling him to come get Diego and I for dinner when he was done working for the day, to which he accepted.
I was confused, but I was happy. The thought of having my own little bundle of joy with the man I love the most in the world was a pleasant thought.
