A black four-wheeled carriage drove inside a manor and came to a stop.
The door of the passenger compartment swung open. As soon Yan Liqiang got off the carriage, he was welcomed by Sushali and a few maids.
Sushali was all dressed up today. She was wearing a long pleated, Shatu cultural dress which was very tight at the waist. It had very short cuffed sleeves that left her arms uncovered and a low neckline that exposed half her chest. Its style was quite similar to the evening dresses that Yan Liqiang had seen in his previous life, only fancier with more vibrant colors.
Sushali was already a dangerously stunning woman. In Yan Liqiang’s eyes, the long dress pretty much just spelled out ‘honey trap’ on her face.
“Greetings, Protectorate General…” Sushali curtsied to Yan Liqiang with the other beautiful maids. Her fair assets spilled out of her neckline for Yan Liqiang’s eyes to feast on.
Yan Liqiang looked around and gave her a smile. “How’s it going? Have you gotten used to living here?”
“Thank you for your concern, Protectorate General. I believe there wouldn’t be a better place in Pingxi City for me to stay!” Sushali rose from her curtsy, then her enchanting eyes roamed over Yan Liqiang as a smile graced her face. “I thought you wouldn’t come.”
“Oh, why is that so?”
“I have a feeling that you seem to be quite afraid of me!” Sushali said jokingly as she unconsciously moved closer to Yan Liqiang, so close that her assets were almost pressed up against his body.
“Afraid? Haha, why would I be?” Yan Liqiang roared with laughter. “I haven’t even brought any guards with me tonight. If I had something to fear in Pingxi City, then I wouldn’t qualify as a Qiyun Protectorate General. Did you say that because you plan on taking my life?”
Sushali pouted and looked as though she was wronged. “Who are you kidding, my lord? I am only a woman and a stranger in Pingxi City who needs to rely on you a lot in the future. Why would I have such malicious intentions toward you, my lord?”
“Hahaha, the Shatu Seven Tribes have powerful military prowess. You probably won’t need my help!” Yan Liqiang walked toward the manor while speaking. “Let’s go, didn’t you prepare a banquet for me? I’ve been busy with work in my office the whole day and haven’t eaten yet. I’m starving…”
“This way, please!” Sushali gave Yan Liqiang a smile, then clung onto Yan Liqiang and showed him the way to the rear courtyard.
As they walked, Yan Liqiang realized that there were only women in the courtyard.
“Oh, didn’t you mention that you brought some guards with you? Where are they?”
“My personal guards are staying in the front courtyard. There are no other men in the rear courtyard aside from you, my lord!” Sushali turned her head to the side. Her lips were almost touching Yan Liqiang’s ear as she whispered to him seductively, “My lord, you can have all the fun you want tonight here…”
“Oh? You have other entertainment for me?”
Sushali smiled. “You will know soon enough, my lord!”

The banquet was arranged to take place at a pavilion in the rear courtyard. As soon as Yan Liqiang arrived, he was served fine wine and delicious food.
No other men were around. Aside from Sushali, there were another five or six gorgeous Shatu women playing music with their musical instruments at the side. When the music was played, three beautiful Shatu women wearing long dresses started dancing. It was a cultural but playful Shatu dance which involved shaking their hips and chests.
The lampshades in the pavilion were pink, causing the room to be bathed in pink as well. As Yan Liqiang watched the beauties dancing to the music in front of him, the atmosphere in the room grew weirder.
As soon as the wine was served, Sushali filled Yan Liqiang’s cup first, then filled and lifted her own wine cup. “The first toast is to express my gratitude for your presence today, my lord. Please allow me to show you my respect by partaking this first…!” Sushali downed her wine cup as soon as she finished speaking, then flashed the bottom of her empty cup to Yan Liqiang.
Yan Liqiang knew Sushali was purposely trying to prove to him that the wine and food served to them were untampered so that Yan Liqiang would let his guard down. He laughed heartily, then lifted his cup too and downed the wine in it. “Good! This is how the Shatu Seven Tribes and the Qiyun Protectorate Office should be! We should enjoy some wine and music instead of boring things like scheming against each other all day long…!”
“You have a point, my lord! Allow me to offer you another toast…!” Sushali smiled as she poured another cup of wine for Yan Liqiang. They clinked their cups together before they drank from their cups again.
“This wine has the color of amber and leaves a sweet aftertaste in your mouth. That’s quite a special flavor. What is it made of?”
“The name of this wine is the Dragon Spirit Wine. It is fermented by one of the three treasures on the Gulang Plains, the blood dragon ginseng and white spirit. Since blood dragon ginseng and white spirit are extremely rare, the Dragon Spirit Wine is only possessed by very few aristocrats among the Shatu Seven Tribes and is not sold for money. The Dragon Spirit Wine will not only significantly replenish vital Qi but it is also beneficial to cultivation. I brought two jars of it with me here. Both have been aged well for over twenty years by the Dark Razor Tribe, just enough time to bring out the best flavor of this wine…!”
“Blood dragon ginseng and white spirit… No wonder. Both are treasures of the land.” Yan Liqiang was enlightened. “If that’s the case, I suppose I will have to drink a little more tonight…”
“Please drink to your heart’s content!” Sushali continued fawning over Yan Liqiang from the side and served Yan Liqiang some food. “Try this, my lord…”
After a few cups of Dragon Spirit Wine, Yan Liqiang started to feel as though there was a ball of fire being lit in his dantian. The warm current in his dantian coursed through all the veins in his body. It was an indescribably pleasant sensation. When the warmth involuntarily rushed to his lower part, Yan Liqiang became agitated as a certain part of his body was starting to misbehave…
With a beauty by his side and fine wine gliding down his throat as the music and dancing continued, the atmosphere slowly turned steamy. The clothes on the beautiful Shatu dancers were also getting thinner and thinner, until they were only left wearing thin, semi-transparent gauze.
Sushali also had quite a few cups of Dragon Spirit Wine. Her face was tinted with the color of cherry blossoms, and her breath was also tinged with the wine’s flavor. She continued drinking by Yan Liqiang’s side as she observed the changes in the shade of his face and his bodily reactions. When she noticed Yan Liqiang’s eyes were starting to glaze over and seemed to be attracted by the three beautiful dancers, Sushali suddenly brought her lips close to Yan Liqiang’s ear and whispered seductively, “My lord, I have learned how to sing and dance too. If you would like to, how about I dance for you…?”
“Good, good, let me see you dance…!” Yan Liqiang said loudly.
Sushali instantly stood up and went in front of the table. As she swayed her slim waist gracefully like it was a willow branch in a soft breeze, the music playing in the background suddenly changed to something extremely slow and gentle. When the three Shatu beauties saw Sushali had come up, all of them quickly left.
Although Sushali was dancing alone, her every move, eye contact, and smile were so much more gratifying than the other three Shatu beauties. She wasn’t just simply dancing. She coordinated her facial expression and her eye contact. As she danced, her rhythmic breathing that sounded like soft moans could be heard. Her dance was seductive and like magic, the room was shrouded by a mysterious fragrance that was spreading out from her body.
Gradually, all Yan Liqiang could see in his eyes was her lone figure. An intoxicated expression slowly appeared on his face as the fully filled wine cup in grip was left forgotten.
Sushali’s dancing body unknowingly moved closer and closer to Yan Liqiang’s body, until they were embracing each other with their tongues entangled together. The ladies who were playing the music left, leaving only both of them behind in the room. As music faded from the room, it was replaced by the sound of clothes rustling and moans of pleasure.
As the atmosphere in the room turned hotter and heavier, a very fine, glowing red needle silently ‘sprung out’ from the ring that Sushali wore on her hand which was wrapped around Yan Liqiang’s neck.
It was an extremely strange needle. If one took a closer look at the red needle, they would be able to see that the surface of the red needle was actually fully covered by strange runes.
When the strange needle was ejected, Sushali moved her hand with the fine needle from Yan Liqiang’s neck toward the back of his head.
When the needle was only a few millimeters away from the back of Yan Liqiang’s head, it stopped because Yan Liqiang had her hand in his grip.
Both of them opened their eyes nearly at the same time. Yet the messages conveyed in their eyes were totally different from each other. One was filled with shock, while the other was filled with a smile…
“Aren’t you spoiling the fun? That’s not nice of you to do something like that at a time like this,” Yan Liqiang sighed and shook his head.
