She got her makeover done and as requested, they trimmed her hair a bit.
It wasn't a big difference because Red was already pretty enough.
Calling herself a rising star, she was cautious about beauty, how she looks, following trends and everything.
"How do I look?" She showed herself to Lucifer, he raised a brow scanning her from top to bottom.
"It didn't make much difference." He said.
"Because I am already beautiful." She said cockily. He smirked at her words and they left for the mall.
"You have already bought enough dresses, Lucifer." She said,
"You need to get a gown." He said, taking her hand and walking inside.
"Ah, the fashion show. There are two upcoming events."
"Look, Red. I have no connection with J Dot hence I can't reserve any place and we can't go there but we can go to the Kylies." He explained, taking her to a shop.
"Oh, I see."
He stopped and turned to her, "Aren't you angry?" He asked.
"No. It's fine. At least you managed one." She smiled.
He stared at her mystifyingly, not apprehending her words.
He thought she would force him to do it because he was lying.
If he wanted he could easily take her to both but he didn't and Red is fine with it.
"Hello to Earth, Dear Husband." Red snapped in front of him. He blinked and took a step back, letting go of her hand.
"Ah, Sorry. I didn't expect you to be casual about it." He said.
"Jonathon Dot is an international brand, many rivals and sponsors would come there, it wouldn't be surprising if you can't do it." She hummed.
"Even though, I guess we could attend it as a part of the audience but you wouldn't go as a commoner, would you?" She asked.
"Of course, not." He said as they walked inside the store.
"Ah, Mr Grave. How may I help you?" The manager came and asked politely.
"We are going to a particular event. Could you help my wife to get the perfect dress?" He asked in his gallant tone he first used on Red.
"Sure. Please come with me, Ma'am." Lucifer passed her a smile and Red with the manager of the store to get her dress.
As Lucifer was waiting for her, he got a call from Harry. "Hello?"
"Hello, Sir. You told me to remind you about the trial starting tomorrow against Felix. I have checked everything, there are no problems... but..."
"But what?"
"Sir, He is a Mafia leader. His connections and power extend more than we can grasp-"
"We can't back away now," Lucifer said.
"There's no return point."
"And what if he became personal and hurt Mr and Mrs Grave. It can put Red's life in danger as well."
"Once he gets his punishment, there won't be any problems. Assign some bodyguards to Mom and Dad." He said.
"And Red?"
"Mrs Grave-" Lucifer turned and saw Red looking through some clothes.
"She is Mrs Grave now." He warned Harry, still looking at Red.
"Y-Yes. And what about Mrs Grave?"
"You don't worry about her. Nothing can harm her in my presence." He said.
"And yeah, did you get her details?" Lucifer asked about the details of girls, including Red of course.
"Yes."
"Okay." And cut the call and walked up to her, putting up their act.
"Couldn't find one, Sweetheart?" He asked using his tempting tone again but now Red has seen what lies behind that facade, she wouldn't flush in his charm.
"What do you prefer, Honey? Off-shoulder or sleeveless V-line dress?" She asked.
Lucifer noticed Red watching the price tags and being hesitant to get something expensive which made him perplexed.
She could literally buy anything here but chose not to do it.
"Love." Lucifer called her, taking her hand.
"Hmm?"
"Sit back. Let me select the dress." Lucifer said.
"You?"
"Yes." He smiled.
"But-" He didn't let her speak and made her sit down.
She wanted to tell him she has a fashion designing degree and her fashion sense is greater than his but Lucifer knows what he is doing.
She watched him as he looked for a few gowns.
He selected a bunch of them and said, "Try them on."
"All of them?" Red asked with wide eyes, looking at the stack.
"Yes. Go and try them out. Separate the dress you like from others." He said..
With an innocent look, she stood up and left without saying anything else.
"I don't like frilly dresses or princess gowns, if there are any in it, take it away." She said, They nodded.
Red tried a violet off-the- shoulder, floral A line gown but it didn't please her eyes.
"Nah.." Red shook her head.
She then tried a bright red backless mermaid gown with lace sleeves which made her frown, "The color is too bright."
And after going through a series of them she finally found a dress perfect for her.
"This one. I just want this one." She said.
"And others?"
"This is perfect." She breathed out, with a smile.
Of course, Red wasn't tired, she has done this many times.
Over the stack of thirteen dresses, she chose one.
"Finally." Red smiled, walking out.
"Your choice of fashion is on a minus level. Never get me a dress again." She taunted.
"I have liked just one." She said.
"One?"
She nodded.
"You are very picky." He mumbled.
"Of course, I need to overlook everything about the dress. Their color, size, design, the quality of clothes. Everything. Do you expect me to wear cotton or linen at an event? No." She explained the talks of fashion which went above Lucifer's head.
"You get the dress, right?"
"Yeah, of course. Now we need to get the shoes and jewelry." She said.
"Now you have taken me here, why not get everything done."
"Which one did you get?"
"It's a surprise." She winked and after ordering the dress, they went to get the perfect shoes and jewelry.
"I guess you bought green accessories and shoes so it must be green." He said, holding the bags.
After shopping, Red let out a sigh of relief, "Ah, It was fun." She grinned.
"I am starving..." Red stretched her hands.
"God knows when I will come back to London again. This year, I would love to explore it." Red said excitedly.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Don't ask me. I will say junk food...Veg Extravaganza pizza." Red said, looking out of the window. Mesmerizing the city.
"Seriously? Veg?"
"Okay then, Cheese Burst." She shrugged.
"I always have second options." She grinned.
"You are weird." Lucifer said.
"Why?"
"At one point you are a dominant and seductive woman while at another, you become childish."
"Oh, It's been two weeks since you have known me. There's a lot to come." She smirked.
"Besides, What about you? Cold and heartless one time and utterly bewitching and Spellbinding on the other?"
"I guess this year is going to be fascinating." Lucifer smirked darkly.
"We are the rising couple after all. The most anticipated couple of the year, they have big expectations from us." She gave him the same tool.
"And their hopes will trample..."
"Menacing." She sneered as they both laughed a little.
And the door of the BMW opened in front of Pizza Hut as the couple savored their appetite with their favorite pizza-
Because no one likes sharing their pizza.
"By the way, why are you so obsessed with Fashion?" Lucifer asked.
"I wanted to become a world famous fashion designer." Red replied.
"I just received my degree and about to start my startup but got stuck here but look at me, do I seem sad to you? No. I consider it an opportunity to learn more."
"You sound quite ambitious." Lucifer said, looking at her. She stared back and said firmly, "I am. To achieve my dream, I will utilize everything at hand."
"You are so passionate about it." Lucifer praised.
"I want to reach the peak of the skies. And I am sure, one day, you will ship the Red Bennet Brand around the world."
"I guess you never had any interest in my money in the first place." He said with an involuntary smile.
"Never. Like I said, ``It was for fun."
They both chuckled and went home after spending the day together and getting things done and emerging as the rising couple.
