ADRIA'S POV:
"Seriously! bitch", I exclaimed and threw my cell phone on the table.
"What is it princess", my dad asks while bringing the plates out of the kitchen.
"Nothing dad, same stupid stories on Wattpad", I said while helping him with the plates. "Sandwich! God dad not again", I cried and started stomping my feet like a child.
"I am sorry baby girl, but I swear I will find a cook soon", he says while kissing my forehead.
I and my dad shifted here three days back. My mom died while giving birth to me, so we are the only family for each other.
The saddest thing is that we always had a cook in our house so never ever learned to cook. Hence, we are suffering now.
Since we shifted here just a few days back, we are yet to find out new housekeeping staff, resulting in us doing disastrous experiments in the kitchen.
To stop our brand new kitchen from blowing away, we decided to have pizza for breakfast and sandwiches for dinner.
Yup! we both are weird.
"So tell me. What were you reading now?", dad asks while pouring some ketchup on my plate.
"Oh! it was a romance novel, 'still can't hate you", I said and started removing onions from my sandwich. Yes! I hate them.
"Simple name. The writer must be immature?"
"Yes, she is. Some purple orchids. Seriously I have started hating her. God knows why these people even try writing", I took a huge bite of my sandwich and started chewing it angrily.
"Why do you read such stupid stuff, by the way?", he took all the removed onions from my plate and put them in his sandwich. Yes! he loves them...... Yuck!
"Because", I paused a bit to give a dramatic effect. "They are free", dad just shook his head at my answer.
"So, what offended you now?"
"Well! the lead male in the story abuses the female just due to a misunderstanding, yet like a love struck puppy she reunites with him. I mean come on. He hit you, treated you like a dog yet you go after him. Like, serious girl! You sold your self-respect for buying a burger or what?", dad laughed at my words and I smiled at his happy face.
We finished our so-called dinner laughing at random kinds of stuff.
"Ok, princess. Change your clothes and go to bed. I will check your room after 30 minutes. If I still find you up....", he warns and I roll my eyes.
"Dad! for god's sake I am 18, not 8", I say while running upstairs, hoping that his usual comment won't fall on my ear.
"But you still are the same little one who used to poo on my pants", Ughh! I groaned at his words.
The first reason why I don't call my friends home.
I ran up to my room and opened my laptop. Video chat with Connor, my boyfriend.
Before connecting, I went near the mirror. God! how can I be so pretty? Don't get me wrong I am not a psycho or something. I just don't underestimate myself.
Actually, I am really average when it comes to looks. Not too tall, not too short. My 5.3 height is quite average. My dark brown hair is long and falls below my waist, they are a shade darker than the colour of my eyes.
But what Connor loves in me the most are my full lips, he complements them every time we meet and worship them with those delicate kisses.
Not being able to wait for seeing his handsome face I quickly adjust my top, pulling it a bit down to show my cleavage and fixing my hair I went back to my bed and clicked enter.
It was our usual time so he was online.
"Hey Cutie", Oh! god. I swear I can get an orgasm by his husky voice.
"Hey baby", I blushed and waved my hand in front of him like a teenager. Well, cause I am one.
"How is my cuddle bug?", he asked and I blushed even more at the new nickname.
"I am fine. How are you?"
"Not so fine sweety, I really miss you", Aww.. and people ask why I love him so much!
"I miss you too hot stuff. But I really could not help it", I gave him a sad smile.
"You could have moved in with me", he frowned and looked away. This was torture for me, not being able to see his face.
"I couldn't Connor. You know dad would not let me. Besides, I can't leave him", I said apologetically and finally, he looked at me again.
"So you can leave me",
"No baby, you are getting me wrong. Please understand"
"Ok! Ok! Let's not argue alright. Now tell me when is your college starting", a smile made its way on my lips at his question. He is always concerned about my studies.
"Next week. I am really excited. Finally, I would be able to do what I always dreamt for", I answered honestly. I always dreamt of being a doctor and finally I was getting admitted to one of the best universities.
"I am happy for you cupcake"
"I am too, hope you manage to get transferred to one of the colleges here here", Connor was 24 and a professor. But he never taught me. Connor is, Percy's brother. Percy is one of my classmates.
I met Connor when he once came to pick up Percy and just the same day I and Percy had a fight resulting in him getting a blacked eye. Connor said it was love at first sight for him and it was the same in my case.
Connor is handsome, he isn't a muscular guy but still has a body that can be called attractive. His jet black silky hair is what girls would die for. I just love him.
"I am trying my best", he gave me a sad smile.
"When you come, I will wear the pink lingerie", I said and blushed vigorously as he smirked
I lost my virginity to Connor last year. He was really caring and our love has increased even more since then.
He always treated me like a child but when in bed he makes me realize that I am a woman.
We talked for a while until dad came into my room. You people must be thinking he scolded me for staying up but no, instead my great dad started talking with Connor, telling him my childhood's embarrassing stories.
The second reason why I don't invite my friends home.

AUSTIN'S POV:
Silence and peace my two constant companions, as usual, were with me.
I was staring at the moon but it wasn't the moon that I was able to see. I could see only her face. Even in something as beautiful as the moon. Hell! she is more beautiful than the moon.
The cool breeze hit my bare chest, my hands were getting numb due to the coldness of the metal railing that I was holding. But I didn't care, I have gotten used to this numbness ever since she left. Ever since she left me.
I heard a knock and stepped out of my balcony. It was Agustus, my most trusted man and only friend.
"Austin, we finally tracked Edward Owensby", he said in a serious tone. I just nodded my head.
"What happened now? Why that grumpy mood again", all his seriousness was gone now. Now he was my best friend, not a man who works for me. "Missing her again?", he asked as I casually made a drink for us and sat beside him on my bed.
"We will go get that bastard tomorrow", I said to ignore the topic about her.
"Yes! The bastard has to know who he messed with", he said taking the glass from my hand and sipping the bitter liquid.
He was so right. Edward did a grave mistake messing with me.
No one messes with Austin Hawk and he has to know that.
I was never a nice man when it came to business but her disappearance made me ruthless.
Three years, three fucking years I haven't seen her, three fucking years my life has become a hell, three fucking years the monster inside me went wild, three years I have been known as the most ruthless businessman.
I even don't hesitate to kill when someone crosses me. But as they say, money can buy anything. My clear police record proves that the phrase is damn true.
I don't put emotions when it comes to business and hence Hawk Enterprises is currently at the top. And it will always be at the top, I will make sure of it.
For the first time someone decided to cross me and the first time my eyes failed to judge a person and I lost a very important deal.
