"In the past, it was always only about how you felt, keeping me bound to your side because it made you happy, nothing more, but you never really asked if I wanted to stay by your side."
"Since you never truly asked about my wishes deep down, the moment the opportunity to leave you presented itself, I seized it without hesitation."
Pei Yansi was still in an unconscious state at this time, but upon hearing Shen Heyu’s words, he subconsciously furrowed his brow.
Shen Heyu raised a hand, gently caressing Pei Yansi’s brows and eyes, trying to smooth out the furrows on his forehead.

Shen Heyu hastily let go of Pei Yansi’s hand, standing up to see two more hostile faces looking just like Chen Lingmeng’s from behind the wheelchair.
Grandpa Chen and Chen Wenzhou had also arrived, their faces showing that expression because they had heard what Shen Heyu just said.
"Shen Heyu, we have some things to properly discuss with you. Come along," Grandpa Chen said with an unhappy face, while Chen Wenzhou pushed Chen Lingmeng’s wheelchair towards the adjacent resting room.
All the emotions that surged in her heart were suppressed. Shen Heyu knew that nothing good could come from this trip to the resting room.
