Shen Heyu suddenly turned around and found Lu Yi actually standing behind her, the grip on her phone tightening continuously.
She smiled disguisingly, "Is the food ready? When did you come over?"
Lu Yi looked at Shen Heyu’s phone with concern and said worriedly, "The food is ready. I had just arrived when I heard you mentioning Yansi’s name. Did he call to give you trouble? Tell me, and I will definitely protect you."
Hearing his words, Shen Heyu felt much relieved. She smiled and tossed the phone onto the nearby table.
"You must have heard wrong just now. I wasn’t on the phone with Yansi; I was talking to Yuexue. Yuexue just asked how her father was doing, so I answered her a couple of sentences."
"Really?" Lu Yi seemed half-convinced. He glanced back at the phone on the table, and following his gaze, Shen Heyu saw that the time was now half-past four.
"Of course, it’s true. Since the food is ready, let’s eat first."
"It’s still early for this time of day. Isn’t it a bit too early for dinner? How about we watch some TV drama first?" Lu Yi saw that Shen Heyu didn’t mention wanting to leave, so he gradually began to relax.
According to what Yansi had said, he had to see Shen Heyu at home before five-thirty, otherwise, he would take action against Lu Yi.

"Can’t you just not leave?"
"I will leave after I see you finish the meal."

Shen Heyu interrupted him, "There’s nothing to ’but.’ If you don’t eat properly, I will leave this place right now. I’m giving you half an hour."
