Seoul Object Story Chapter 319

Oh Yerin’s apartment, affiliated with Sehee Research Institute. “Well, I’m heading out now. Take good care of the house!” Yerin waved goodbye to the White A-gwi sitting on the Lead Doll’s lap and left for work at the institute. After she had been gone for a while, the apartment began to bustle with activity. White A-gwis made of marshmallow squeezed themselves through the gaps in the front door, entering one by one. Golden Reapers peeked out from the dark walls of the room, grinning and looking around. After confirming no one was there, they landed on the floor and nimbly moved around, hiding behind table legs, making sounds as if they were going ‘shashashak’. Their destination was the room where the Lead Doll was sitting. The Golden Reapers didn’t know why they were hiding from Yerin, but they were following the White A-gwi because it looked fun. The Golden Reapers and White A-gwis that had gathered in droves assembled neatly in the room with the Lead Doll. And like dogs waiting for food, they sat quietly looking up at the Lead Doll. When one Golden Reaper took out a large cookie it had secretly brought, the Golden Reapers jumped up and down, cheering. Then they sat in a circle around the cookie and began nibbling at it bit by bit. The so-called Round Table Cookie! Tearing off small pieces with their tiny hands, putting them in their mouths and chewing. The Golden Reapers nibbled on a handful of cookie like misers, then turned their heads to stare up at the Lead Doll’s face. The White A-gwi was smiling happily, basking in the warm sunlight coming through the window. As they were spending time in the morning sunlight, the White A-gwi and Golden Reapers stood up almost simultaneously and began to line up. The Lead Doll slowly opened its eyes, emitting a soft golden light in all directions. The White A-gwi and Golden Reapers took turns being embraced by the Lead Doll. The Lead Doll smiled gently, softly hugging the White A-gwi and Golden Reapers that had snuggled into its arms one by one. When the White A-gwi first discovered that the Lead Doll had opened its eyes, it could barely move, but recently, after the Seven-Colored Moon had risen, the Lead Doll had become able to hug the A-gwi and Golden Reapers on its own. The Lead Doll would listen and respond when Golden Reapers sent their will, but its answers were unclear. ‘Does Mom eat pudding too?’ The Lead Doll just smiled and hugged them tightly. The Golden Reapers hugged the Lead Doll back, hoping for the day when they could play together like with ‘Mom mk.2’. Mini Reaper Garden, Marshmallow Plains. When I tied the Unfilial Ghost Reaper’s sword, the ‘Disobedience’ blade, to the Mini Hippo’s ankle, the Ghost Reaper caught in my grasp struggled wildly. After playing with the Unfilial Ghost Reaper like that for a while, I got bored and let it go. The Ghost Reaper disappeared in an instant. Even the sword that I had forcibly tied to the little hippo’s, no, the Mini Hippo’s ankle had vanished. What should I play with now? As I was wandering around the Mini Reaper Garden thinking that, the Yellow Reaper slowly approached. When I turned to look at the Yellow Reaper, I saw a mountain of Tyranno doll outfits piled up. Dinosaur doll outfits in various colors. All Tyranno doll outfits with two fingers! I grabbed the Yellow Reaper in my hand and patted its head vigorously. As I held and stroked the soft, trembling Yellow Reaper like that, I got a bit curious. I poked the chubby Yellow Reaper’s belly with my finger. The Yellow Reaper flinched as if ticklish. Suddenly finding it fun, I started tickling the Yellow Reaper all over. The Mini Reapers who had been sneaking closer to look at the mountain of doll outfits saw this and started climbing up my body, insisting I do it to them too. As I kept tickling the Mini Reapers like that, when I came to my senses, I found many Mini Reapers gathered around. I stood up and exuded my will. ‘Now, let’s all put on the doll outfits!’ Then hundreds of Mini Tyrannos appeared in the Mini Reaper Garden. As the Mini Reapers put on the dinosaur outfits, they started biting and headbutting each other, creating a chaotic atmosphere. Then I exuded my will to summon the Mini White A-gwis. The White A-gwis that arrived after receiving the emergency signal looked confused at first, but soon realized the situation and started to run away. As the White A-gwis began to flee, the Mini Reapers understood the essence of today’s play and charged after the escaping White A-gwis. Tyrannos breathing fire, Tyrannos using time acceleration, and so on. Various Tyrannos started biting the White A-gwis. The Mini Reaper Garden was filled with the mournful cries of the White A-gwis. As I was watching this recreation of the dinosaur era with a satisfied smile, Black Reapers came stomping over and started throwing their will at me. As soon as I heard their will, I teleported to Seoul Forest, taking the Black Reapers who were making a fuss with me. Then I started to see something ominous that wasn’t visible at the Sehee Research Institute. A pillar of black light dividing the sky in the distance. A sinister black star emitting an ominous aura at the end of that light pillar. Something had happened to the Steel Tower. Late afternoon, Yerin’s apartment. As Yerin opened the front door and returned home, the White A-gwi greeted her with a ‘kyu’ cry. Yerin hugged the White A-gwi to her chest and started chattering happily about what had happened today. “Reaper wasn’t in his spot this morning.” “Instead, there were Mini Reapers wearing cute dinosaur outfits running around in the courtyard. I wonder where he went at a time ?” Yerin skillfully organized her bag, turned on the TV, then patted the head of the Lead Doll sitting with a calm expression. Then Yerin looked down at the Lead Doll wearing a pretty dress with a fond smile. When Oh Yerin came out to the living room after finishing her shower, the TV was broadcasting a follow-up report to yesterday’s news. [The American Object Association has just made an announcement regarding the phenomenon of buildings or ruins suddenly appearing.] [According to the association, the current Object phenomenon is being observed globally and potentially poses a great danger.] [Therefore, the association strongly advises against approaching such phenomena if possible.] [Particularly, judging from cases where structures like buildings or ruins suddenly appear, this is likely to be a spatial displacement or overlap phenomenon.] Yerin hugged the White A-gwi while roughly drying her hair. “Hmm, I wonder if Reaper went to solve that incident?” As Yerin muttered this while walking towards the sofa, she felt a strange sensation under her feet. The sound of something crumbling. When Yerin checked the bottom of her foot, it was crumbs from cookies she hadn’t eaten recently. Puzzled by the unexplainable traces, Yerin tilted her head and looked towards the White A-gwi, which was averting its gaze like a dog hiding something. Central Seoul Forest, where the Steel Tower used to be. The sun had already disappeared, and multicolored moonlight began to shine down. As I was investigating the place where the Steel Tower had collapsed, night had fallen before I knew it. When I first arrived at Seoul Forest, it was truly chaotic. I had clearly tried to teleport near the Steel Tower, but I ended up on the outskirts of Seoul Forest. A pillar of black light where the Steel Tower used to be. An ominous black star in the sky. Moreover, Golden Reapers and Black Reapers were running around wildly in the forest. Golden Reapers running in front suddenly fell from the sky, while Golden Reapers falling from the sky popped out of the ground. I couldn’t understand why they were acting like that, but the moment I took a step into the forest myself, I could tell. I had only taken one step, but I popped out in a completely different place. The space here is all jumbled up. An environment where teleportation doesn’t work properly, and even the Mini Reaper Garden can’t be deployed properly. So I had to run around Seoul Forest on foot, but with each step, I couldn’t tell where I’d end up, making it a true maze. Moreover, the space was constantly warping in real-time, so it was like a maze where the paths changed in real-time. This solved another mystery. The Black Reapers had clearly said the Steel Tower collapsed ‘late at night’, but they arrived to me in the morning. It seemed the Black Reapers couldn’t return to the Mini Reaper Garden due to the spatial distortion, so it took them a long time to break through the maze themselves. Looking at it that way, the Black Reapers who informed me about the Steel Tower’s anomaly had passed through this insane maze. ‘Amazing. Well done.’ I patted the Black Reapers like that. ‘No matter how I look at it, I can’t figure it out.’ Although the Black Reapers had worked hard to inform me about the Steel Tower’s anomaly, I hadn’t learned much from investigating. I only learned one thing. The fact that the Steel Tower was now completely gone. And aside from the jumbled space, Seoul Forest didn’t seem as dangerous as I thought. ‘Hmm, what should I do?’ I pondered repeatedly while holding a Black Reaper and poking it. Late at night, near Seoul Forest. A Blue Reaper was flying in circles around Seoul Forest. The Mini Reapers were in the process of cordoning off the area around Seoul Forest for the simple reason that ‘humans might be in danger!’ Of course, the Mini Reapers’ ‘Mom’ didn’t have such thoughtful considerations. She had just said, ‘Ah, I don’t know! I’ll think about it tomorrow!’ and returned to the Sehee Research Institute. As the Blue Reaper was patrolling in the air like that, it heard a strange sound. The faint sound of human voices. Voices too distant to hear clearly. ‘Are humans in danger?’ Thinking that humans might be in danger, the Blue Reaper started to enter Seoul Forest, following the sound. And the moment it entered, the Blue Reaper found itself in a completely different place. A massive ceiling blocking out the sky. A fake floor where the ground couldn’t be felt. A dark space with almost no light. An unpleasant smell of oil filling the space. Huge pillars built so high they seemed to touch the sky. And a girl with pink hair. She was the only human detectable to the Blue Reaper’s senses. The Blue Reaper looked up at the girl blankly, tilting its head in confusion.
