Joanna's POV
Recap: Frank was sat in a chair with a guitar in his, room? How come I didn't know he has one, I asked myself as I fixed my eyes on the screen.
End Of Recap
"Okay, I have to do this." He scratched his hair.
"I haven't done a video like this before, but for someone special, I have to do something special right?" He quizzed and grinned at the camera.
"Awwwwn!" Tenda squealed, while Dora just gave her a look that said *shut, up*
"Ana, this is for you, I know some people won't understand or won't know who Ana is, but that's what makes it special." He winked and then ran his fingers down the guitar strings before he looked back up and smiled.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Ana, happy birthday to you," He sang in a sweet, deep melodious voice I didn't know he had.
The way his fingers moved on those strings, emanating a melodious tune that matched his heavenly voice had me entranced. It felt as though I was automatically teleported into the screen where he sang. I sensed a strong connection that I could bet if someone had pinched me right then I wouldn't have been able to feel it.
"Many more years with me," He continued, and looked up again, this time to wink and beam at the camera, specifically me.
"Many more years, many more years, many more years with me," He ended, after which he dropped the guitar and stood up to walk close to the camera.
He sent me that heart-stopping smile of his and spoke, "Happy birthday baby, you're my world, you are always there for me and I promise to be there for you too."
"I know I failed a bit on that promise because I can't be there with you today but I promise we're gonna have real fun tomorrow, trust me." He beamed.
"I love you so much Ana, have fun, but not too much." He chuckled and blew a kiss at the camera before the video ended.
"Was that--" I started.
"Did he just--" Tenda cut me off.
"Damn bitch, this dude really loves you," Dora voiced out, an awed look on her face. "Why can't Blake act like this?"
"Was that--, Did he just--, I mean--" I stuttered, unable to form intelligible words.
"Shhhhh, take it easy, use the words you were taught in school." Tenda mocked as she patted my shoulder in a bid to calm me down and bring back my sanity.
But I guess that didn't work hence I was still sat there with my mouth hung open in shock.
Was that actually his voice? I thought to myself. And how come I didn't know he could play the guitar, heck I didn't even know that he had a guitar so my shock was justified.
Holy shit, his voice was amazing and still is. I always feel those electric currents pass through me whenever he sings.
"When I see him tomorrow, I'm going to fucking kiss him till he can't breathe," I muttered, my mouth having a mind of its own.
Tenda then gave me a weird look the same instant Dora raised her hand for a high-five, "You do that girl!"
After I had fully recovered from the shock of what I had just seen Tenda and Dora left me to buy some meat-pie and the cake for us to take home while I quickly sent a voice note to Frank, stating how thankful I was and how much I missed him, add that to the numerous kissing sounds and plenty I love you's.
When they both returned, the things, in the white restaurant bags they held we stepped out of the eaterie, where I bought some popcorn for Dad and some fried groundnuts at the popcorn stand as I knew he loved them after which we all piled back into Tenda's car and drove home.
We arrived, sooner than later due to the lack of traffic jam on the road and I proceeded to check the time and observed it was way past 5 pm.
Tenda shut the ignition, while I helped Dora carry the cake and the meat pies to the entrance doors, there I produced the key from my purse to unlock it but to my surprise, it was already open.
This made me glance around the compound and noticed Dad's Black infinity jeep, Mom's Lexus 350, Tony's Black Acura, and Blake's Honda Jeep which indicated, my house was officially full to the brim as I was sure Harmony came with Blake, hence they live close to each other and Ifeanyi came with Tony.
Immediately I stepped into the house and dropped the vast cake on the center table, I was suddenly lifted off the ground in a big bear hug.
"Happy birthday bestie!"Harmony exclaimed, followed by sloppy kisses he rendered on my cheeks and my face, "Muah, muah."
"Drop my foodie, so I can give her a hug." Tony voiced out, to which Harmony dropped and I was then enveloped in another hug.
I let out a chuckle as he gave me a tight hug and screamed a loud "Happy birthday foodie!" In my ear, before he whispered that there's was a certain silver foil by the side of my bed."
"Thank you so much," I whispered and returned his hug after which he let me go.
"Come here dearie, I can't believe you're now of a legal age." Blake beamed and jerked me into an embrace before he gave me a peck on the cheek.
"My little sis is now a lady, I can't call her a small child anymore," Elvis whined. I rolled my eyes as the others laughed.
"Where's Ifeanyi," I questioned, shocked that I hadn't seen him yet.
"Traveled with Frank," Tony answered.
"By the way did you see Frank's video?" Harmony asked excitedly. I blushed and nodded.
"Awwwwn, she's blushing!" Tenda gushed as Tony kissed her forehead.
"But he gave me this," Tony blurted and handed me a wrapped hot hamburger.
"Who?" I implored, slightly confused.
"Ifeanyi of course, duh." Tony scoffed.
"See? I love him, despite him not being here he sent me food." I grinned and took a bite of the burger and moaned at its delicious taste.
"Happy birthday girlie," Fahvour emerged, a wrapped gift in her hand that amazed me as I didn't expect her to be there.
I received the gift with a genuine smile and unwrapped it where I sighted a bright red attachment used to make hair.
"Get in here." I spoke and pulled her in for a hug, "Thank you."
"You're welcome dear, anything for my future in-law," She mumbled into my cheek, rendering me speechless.
"Now that you are all done hugging yourselves, can we celebrate now?" Dad called out in a loud query that caught our attention.
"Gather round, gather round," Mom pronounced as Dad positioned a tray that contained wine glasses filled with wines and pieces of cake mom sliced from the one Tenda bought.
After we had all obeyed and gathered round, Dad led us in prayer, where he thanked God for giving me another year and asked for long life, protection, and the success of every one of us.
"Now let's sing for the birthday girl," He told after we were done with the prayers.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday--" I zoned out, already tired of hearing that song for the day.
"Hip hip!" Dad yelled.
"Hurray!" We all responded.
"Hip hip!"
"Hurray!"
"Hip hip!" He called lastly.
"Hurray!" We all clapped as we made a toast and drank.
After that, everyone said their goodbyes and retired for the night, and the rate at which I was tired then I could sleep while standing.
I kissed mom and dad's cheeks with tired "thank you's" before I hugged Elvis who was already dozing off and ascended the stairs to my room.
Once I got there, I quickly yanked off my clothes and went to the bathroom. I showered and sighed as I felt the warm water relax my skin and muscles.
It was a great day filled with love and happiness but I was so ready to sleep.
