Shu Huan stood up and poured another cup of tea for Gu Xiran. This time she didn't urge him and quietly waited for him to continue.

Her uncle was drunk and soundly asleep on the ground. Next to him was a rod to light the fire for cooking. The pot of water sitting on the stove had almost burned up.
