Author's POV
"Sorry, I made you wait..."
She said and he looked up from his phone.
When his eyes landed on her she got the deja vu, his eyes looked familiar.
Rosetta's eyebrows furrowed as he placed his mobile on the table and stood up, she noticed the small mischievous smirk on his lips.
He stood in front of her and Her started beating fast. Her mind filled with suspicious thoughts and doubts. His black eyes and height was same as masked man. His nose was sharp and pointed, thin and red lips with high cheek bone and sharp jawline. Raven black hair with little stubble on cheeks. Overall he was handsome, quite good looking and confident man. He was carrying attitude in his behavior.
"It's ok... I am used to..."
He said and her heart sunk in her chest.
His voice was also same.
"I am Christian Romanoff... I am sure you have heard it from your grandfather..."
She gulped nervously, thinking is he really that man. If he is then why he decided to come in front of her, how did he managed to meet her grandfather and is he really that powerful because her grandfather definitely won't choose someone average man for her.
She licked her dry lips, she trapped herself in game. If he is really masked man then he is planning something.
"Take a seat Rosetta..."
He brought her out of her thoughts. She saw him pulling chair for her.
Rosetta cleared her throat and sat down.
"Thank you..."
He took seat in front of her and smiled at her. Rosetta didn't get nice feeling from his smile. It was like he knows something which is amusing him.
"Are you martial artist?"
She blurted out.
He chuckled lowly at her.
"Are you testing my capabilities?... Making sure if man is capable enough to marry or not?"
He raised his eyebrows amusingly.
"I appreciate straight answers... I don't like to bash around..."
She replied rudely.
He smirked cocking his eyebrows.
"No... I am not martial artist... But don't worry, I can protect you. I am powerful enough to keep you safe.."
Rosetta frowned thinking he is still trying to hide his identity or may be she is wrong. There are plenty of people with black eyes and same height. But what about voice?
"Why you agreed to marry me?"
He asked.
"It's unusual... Without meeting the man?"
"Like you agreed to marry me just by seeing my pictures..."
She replied.
"You don't look happy... Do you really want to be here?"
He asked but the playfulness in his voice was triggering her.
"I don't do anything under force... I am here because I want to..."
She replied.
"Vey well.."
He nodded.
They placed their order and Rosetta was still confused about this man. She was sure that he is the one. He is masked man.
Waiter arrived shortly and started arranging their table. Suddenly glass from his hand slipped but before it land on the floor, Christian gave it a tuck with his shiny leather shoes and caught it in his hand like a pro.
It happened within seconds like he has control of his all senses.
Rosetta saw it and frown. Now she was sure that he is lying. He knows martial arts because she can also perform these tricks.
He handed the glass back to the waiter and looked at her.
Rosetta grabbed the glass of wine and took a big gulp.
"Are you him?... Are you masked man?"
She asked blinking her eyes as suddenly her eyes started feeling droopy.
He chuckled.
"May be or may be not... Are you okay?"
Rosetta nodded her head.
"Yes I am okay..."
She took another gulp of her wine making him smirk.
"If you are fine then let's dance..."
He suggested.
Few couples were standing on one side on Romantic song.
He stood up and took her hand. Rosetta was feeling dizzy, she didn't even understand when he led her towards the dancing area.
He placed his hands on her waist and she looked at him. Rosetta's eyes went blurry as she remembered her and skyler's moments.
Christian stayed her on the music. Rosetta closed her eyes as his touch reminded her about skyler.
She was missing his touch, his voice and smile.
She took Deep breath as she felt suffocation in his presence.
"Take your hands away from my body"
She said while removing his hands making him look at her.
"I can't do this... I can't... I can't marry you, i am sorry..."
She said trying to hold herself up.
"I don't care who you are... Masked man or not... I can't marry you..."
She gasped for the air.
"What did you do to me?... What was in that drink?"
She asked madly.
Rosetta quickly turned around and rushed towards their table. She quickly grabbed her purse and ran outside before he does something to her. She was still aware of her surroundings.
She rushed outside and Christian followed her.
"Rosetta wait... Don't run"
He said while trying to catch her but she ran away from him.
She stepped outside but her heels got stuck in carpet and she stumbled forward. Christian ran towards her to catch her before she fall but before he touch her someone else grabbed her.
Rosetta felt large hands holding her up and familiar scent filled her senses. She looked up just to see her favorites grey eyes.
"Skyler"
She whispered and smiled at him.
Christian looked at skyler and their eyes locked. Skyler clenched his jaw while Christian Smirked.
"Hello brother"
He said mischievously.
Skyler greeted his jaw and punched him on the face hard, Christians face snapped aside. He touched her cheek and chuckled.
