Author's POV
Rosetta's eyes widened when someone placed the cloth on her mouth from behind.
She quickly grabbed the muscular hand and twisted it, she heard satisfying voice of bone cracking followed by scream. She turned around results in damaging the twisted hand even more and kicked the man on chest with full force which broke his ribs causing on the spot death.
She looked at him coldly as his lifeless body fell on the floor with thud.
Rosetta Smirked, she was ready for it. She knew she is going to be attacked. She pulled out her sword from her jacket and looked around to see three more men surrounding her. They were wearing black clothes but their faces were visible.
They attacked her and she attacked back.
Her sword cut through his throat sprawling the blood everywhere.
Other one attacked her by sword, theirs swords clashed with eachother other but he seemed to be more experienced.
She tried her best while fighting with another man but they both were overpowering her.
Her sword fell from her hand but she quickly recovered while pulling out the dagger from her waistband and stabbed him in the neck.
Before other man attack her she stabbed the same dagger in his his stomach and dragged it upward towards his chest, tearing his skin.
She was focused on him and couldn't realised that there was one more man who was ready to attack her. She turned around and he took her off guard, it was too late for her to attack.
But before he touch her one Shuriken came cutting through the air and sliced his throat. His blood sprawled on her face and she quickly closed her eyes.
When she heard his body falling on the floor she opened her eyes and wiped her face with her sleeves.
She didn't bother to turn around because she knows who her savior is.
"Did I ruined your makeup sweetheart?"
He chuckled.
Rosetta rolled her eyes and turned around.
"Not makeup but you definitely ruined my hair... I don't have a time to visit parlour..."
She replied sassily.
The Masked man chuckled.
"Shouldn't you be saying thank you to me?"
"Who the fuck asked you to help me?"
She scowled.
"How did you know that you are going to be attacked... You seemed prepared"
He asked looking at her trousers and jacket. She definitely wasn't dressed for date.
"None of your business"
She replied and took out her phone. She called Vlad and he quickly received it.
"How dare you bastard... Don't you have guts to come in front of me by yourself that you had to hire these good for nothing men... Or you don't have so called confidence to get me and that's why you want to kidnap me..."
"Mind your tongue...."
Vlad warned.
"You think I am a fool"
She scowled.
"I don't know skyler's handwriting but I definitely knows yours. I am reading your disgusting letters for months... You are really stupid, at least you could have changed the handwriting..."
"You think you won Rosetta... It's not over yet..."
He growled.
"Fuck you Vlad... I had enough of you. I am tired, now you deal with my family... I am telling them about you... Count your last days... I warned you"
She said and disconnected the call.
"Oouuu... You look hot when you are angry..."
The Masked man winked.
Rosetta decided to ignored him and started walking but he blocked her way.
"Are you really going to tell your family about him?... What happened to your so called self dependence?"
"It was my war until Vlad started to drag my family in it... He tried to frame Skyler and if he would have succeeded then it's outcomes would have been drastic... It would have cost me my relationship... Skyler needs to know about it, he has every right... He should know because he got dragged in it, as a victim and as my husband he should know about it..."
She replied.
"What do you expect him to do?"
He scoffed.
"To become your knight in shining armour and bring Vlad's head in your feet..."
"I don't expect anything from him, I can fight for myself but he needs to know so he can be careful with Vlad..."
She said glaring at him.
"I can't see him the way I saw him last night... He was so vulnerable"
Her voice softened.
"You speak very fondly of him"
He said and she noticed the jealousy in his beautiful voice. She doesn't understand why but his voice was making her heart flutter which she always tries to ignore.
"Because he is my husband"
She stated.
"That's it?... Only husband?"
He mocked.
"I thought you were going to say something dramatic like, my life, my love, my heart etc etc..."
"I don't need to explain what he meant to me... You are no one..."
She scowled.
"And you better stay away from me... You are filling my mind with dirt. You said he will leave me once he is satisfied but he didn't... We are still together. He cares for me. He wants me, not for a night but for a life... You are wrong about skyler."
He scoffed.
"Looks like you are under his spell, so confident and faithful..."
He tsk at her.
"Skyler is not perfect for you. I am perfect for you. I can protect you. You don't even have to tell him anything, just ask once and I'll bring Vlad's dead body for you."
His eyes turned soft.
He took step towards her while looking in her eyes and she stared at his eyes, she could see the sincerity.
"I'll give you the world you deserve... Respect, love, loyalty, care anything you want... Skyler is evil, come to me, choose me..."
He got closer to her face.
"You deserve better... Better than Skyler... I am stronger than him..."
He whispered and tried to touch her cheek but she stepped back.
She closed her eyes shaking her head, she almost got lost in him.
"Skyler has already conquered only empty place in my heart. Now there is no place for any other man... You might be stronger but I don't care about it... I want Skyler, doesn't matter if he doesn't know about martial arts, Doesn't matter if he has messed up childhood, doesn't matter if he is a criminal or evil... I can deal with it and I will... I won't leave him for someone better. I have accepted him just the way he is... So stop trying. If you really love me then don't come in front of me again, it's a request..."
He sighed.
"I can't do that... I will come again and again. I won't give up until you realise that he is not for you... You have to accept me Rosetta... Choose me and there won't be any Skyler between us..."
"I don't know which language you understand..."
Rosetta released a sigh and turned around to leave.
"I am married, isn't that enough for you to lose interest... Forget about marriage, you should know how to respect 'No'"
"Does your so called husband respect your No"
He countered.
Rosetta ignored him and walked out towards her car. She sat inside and drove back to home. It was late night and their paln to have dinner has already ruined.
She saw skyler's twenty five missed calls.
She reached home and walked outside just to see skyler in the living room with concerned face.
He looked at her and his face hardened looking at her bloody state.
"Max, call them back... She is home..."
He ordered.
He looked at her while she stood there looking at him blankly.
"Where were you Rosa?... What the fuck were you doing?"
He asked looking at her face which was stained with blood.
"Do you have any idea how worried I was?... I thought someone kidnapped you... Can't you check your fucking phone... How can you be so irresponsible?"
He scolded.
Rosetta rushed towards him and threw herself in his arms.
Skyler Frowned as she hugged him tightly. He hugged her back and she broke down in his arms. Till now she pulled strong and brave face but inside she was breaking second by second. She is tired of everything. Tired of Vlad's disgusting doings and masked man's manipulative words.
She started crying in her husband's embrace which is the only source of her comfort.
"I can't take it anymore..."
She sobbed.
Skyler cupped her cheeks and looked at her with worried face.
"What happened baby?... What's wrong?"
He asked gently.
Rosetta looked at him and started telling him everything.
