Author's POV
Rosetta looked at Elena who was looking at her pleadingly.
"Where is the footage, Rosa?"
Skyler asked again.
Rosetta looked at Elena and she looked terrified. First time she was seeing her like this. Rosetta doesn't know what skyler can do to her neither she wanted to take chances.
"I saw it"
Rosetta said and Elena gulped.
"And?"
Skyler asked casually while fixing his bracelet.
"It was you?"
Rosetta said and skyler frowned at her so does Elena.
"It was you, who messed with the engine... And it's true, you yourself said that you did it... It was your fault..."
Skyler hummed.
"I didn't do that much... It shouldn't have caught fire...."
Rosetta shrugged.
"Ask yourself..."
Elena wasn't lying when she said that she just wanted to keep her away. She messed with the yacht and again skyler worsened it, that's why it caught fire.
"We could have died because of you..."
Rosetta accused.
Skyler looked at her mockingly.
"Are you done overreacting... Now let's go..."
Rosetta rolled her eyes.
"Yes, I am done... Let's go..."
She said which made him chuckle.
"Elena what are you doing here?..."
Skyler asked looking at her.
Elena looked at him flabbergasted.
"Umm... Hmm... I...a__am..."
She gulped.
"I am going to L..London in the morning. I came to say goodbye..."
"Why?..."
He asked raising his eyebrows.
She cleared her throat.
"It's a good career apportunity... Great apportunity to learn and explore..."
Skyler nodded.
"Very well... All the best... Call me if you need something..."
He said like a good friend.
Elena smiled sadly. She hesitated before hugging him but did it.
"All the best to you too... Live your life happily... Rosetta is a nice girl..."
She said and broke the hug. Skyler smiled at her.
Elena hugged Rosetta too, taking her off guard.
"Thank you... I owe you my life. I am sorry for whatever I did to you... Please love Skyler, he deserve happiness..."
She mumbled and broke the hug, Rosetta nodded at her with blank face.
Elena left and skyler looked at Rosetta.
"Let's go..."
He held her by waist and walked outside.
"What kind of party it is?... So we can choose according to theme..."
She asked.
Skyler opened the car door for her.
"I'll take care of it... Don't worry... I can't trust your choice..."
He said.
Rosetta sat inside and gave him offended look.
"Why are you so mean?... I don't have that bad choice... I chose you"
She said.
"Your dad chose me, not you..."
He mocked.
"Still it was my decision"
She stated.
"So you chose me because of my looks..."
He asked teasingly.
She smiled.
"I can't say no... You are handsome..."
"Rate me from 1 to 10..."
He suggested.
"5"
She teased and laughed.
Skyler looked at her offended.
"5?... Nahh... That's why I said, you have a bad choice..."
He sulked and looked out of the window.
Rosetta suppressed her smile and scooted closer to him. She leaned closer to his face and whispered.
"Forget about looks but I think you will get 100 out of 100 in bed..."
Skyler tried to suppress his smile but couldn't control it.
"Trust me you don't want to see it."
He said.
"I was kidding... You are very handsome."
She teased.
"Hot and sexy..."
Skyler Smirked.
"And?"
"And you look breathtaking in black suit... I like it when you button up your cuffs, it's so attractive to watch. I love it when you seat like a king with crossed legs... And when you cage me against the wall..."
She said excitingly and honestly.
"So you do observe me"
He chuckled.
"Yeah..."
She blushed.
Skyler wrapped his hand around her shoulder and kissed her cheek.
"You are going to be death of me..."
"Can I ask you something?"
She asked and looked at him.
"Hmm!"
He replied.
"Did you kill one of your friend?... I am sorry if I am being too nosy..."
She asked.
Skyler sighed.
"Who told you that?"
"Does it matter?"
She replied.
Skyler released a big sigh.
"Yes I did..."
Rosetta wasn't quick to judge him. She knows how it works. She has been dealing with this kind of situations.
"Why?... Why you had to kill your friend?... Was it that serious?"
She asked curiously.
"I have already told you Rosa, I am not a emotional fool. I am a man of my words... I have set certain boundaries for people around me. You can call me arrogant if you want but this is my life and I like it this way... No one should touch my personal life, I won't be considerate with that... This business, mafia, my family and you! are my responsibilities and I will do anything to protect it... Even if I have to kill people for it, I'll do it..."
Skyler said firmly.
"Martina knew it... She knew how serious I am about these things as we were together since kindergarten... She fell for my rival and that wasn't her fault, I never tried to control her personal life but she made mistake... She stole important information from my office for her boyfriend and i had to face loss of millions, my reputation were threatened... She betrayed me even when she knew that I hate it..."
Rosetta sighed.
"It's must have been hard..."
"It wasn't... She murdered our friendship before i killed her..."
He replied.
"Why did you saved Elena?... I thought you hate her"
Skyler said and her eyes snapped towards him.
"You know?"
She asked with wide eyes.
Skyler smirked.
"He was my man, Rosa. You really think that he won't send me that footage... Come on, you are smarter than this..."
"She wasn't really at fault..."
Rosetta mumbled and sighed.
"I don't know skyler... I don't know why I saved her but I really don't want you to kill her for this small thing. She is your friend... She loves you. She was going to confess but you were with me... She was jealous and probably did something stupid. You can't kill her for this... I don't think she meant to kill me..."
Skyler sighed.
"I wasn't going to kill her... Elena is stupid and can be annoying sometimes but she can never kill someone. I know it was me who worsened the situation and that's why I let her go... But I never gave her any hopes about us. She knew that I wasn't interested... Falling for me is the worst mistake she can ever do "
"Thank god I am not your friend"
Rosetta chuckled.
"Friend like you is worst than enemy..."
"Worst!... You are my wife, not friend..."
He replied.
Rosetta looked at him.
"Will you kill me too if I betray you?..."
She asked and he looked at her silently, not answering her question.
