I should behave like a woman who has everything on her dinner table.
Varieties of continental food with several flavours of soft drinks.
I gawked them keenly with my sharp eyes and gulped in horror to see such a great amount of food on the table.
Why such wastage of food?
I saw the man who was sitting on the opposite side glancing at me with his clenched jaw.
"Mr Jensen, what are you staring at?" It tried to fumble while thrusting food in my mouth.
"You are supposed to call me Blake!" He snapped.
"Okay, Blake what are you staring at boy?" I drank the cola flavour drink while chewing the food.
"Look, Ms Brooke, behave! This isn't the way to eat." He narrowed his eyes again.
What's his dilemma?
"You are supposed to call me by my name," I muttered while enjoying the delicious meal which was on the table.
"Ashley, behave yourself this is not your cafeteria where you were working. This is the biggest hotel in London!" He uttered while gritting his teeth.
Damn! His words snapped me back from my vision to reality.
His words directly sliced my heart. Thanks to the god that he made me realise I do not belong to this society, here, to wear such expensive clothes, I do not have a concession to even hold a spoon here with my fortune.
And I am getting paid to do a certain duty which I am lacking at.
Thank god he made me realise I am just a girl who belongs to roads and he is a man with the power and will to conquer all the world.
My eyes became moist, I have no idea why his words felt like a tight slap on my cheek. Why do I have this agony when what he said was the utter truth.

When he saw that I was about to cry, though I never wanted to do, still I am in the end just a girl who is not in control of her heart.
"Ashley?" I felt his touch over my knuckles.
What does he want now after insulting me?
I didn't respond to him, to his outrageous concern for me.
"What do you want me to do? Do you want to behave like a robot? Tell me I won't eat anything again from here as I do not belong in your world,"
I was looking down, looking to my feet, looking at the floor because that's the place where people like me belong.
This expensive lightning and decorum have deteriorated my life.
"Get up!" I heard his loud voice which made me jump in horror.
His voice was enough to shriek me out in horror my soul.
When I didn't listen to him. He pulled me by my arm and when were inches apart from each other he came close to me to kiss me on the cheeks where I had dried tears.
"Ashley, calm down!" he caressed my back and rubbed it.
What a fistful creature he is! In a minute he insults me and in a second he does things that calm me down.
He gently helps me to sit down again and moved his chair closer to mine so that our arms were brushing each other.
He taught me how to eat with a knife and fork, but I still prefer eating with my own hands.
Anyways, I mimicked his actions and anyhow did what he was expecting me to do so.
In the last, I heard him whispering, "adequate."
When the light melody started playing in the dim light everyone started dancing slowly.
And why not when everyone was present here with their beloved ones who were not acting, not pretending, not faking anything, who were pretentious in love.
Not like me who is living a false life, A made up one.
He extended his hand and asked me to accept his gesture to dance.
But why would I?
One wrong move of mine and all the eyes will be on me.
"I will embarrass you," I whispered when his lips were almost touching my ear lobe.
"I won't let you embarrass me," his voice was making me shiver. A shiver went down my spine when I found him this close to me.
Then I felt his hands around my waist, for a second, I thought that he is doing this on purpose is that he could tease me like always by commencing these little things.
He pulled me into his chest and our lips were just an inch away from each other.
His hot minty breath was all over my eyes.
I could see his eyes very clearly, they have affection in them. The affection for living the way he wants.
"We. We should go," I mumbled in my fragile voice. I was here to take revenge on him. However, it looks like a big myth to me.
"Where?" He whispered again while having his hands on my hips now.
"Enough for today, " I muttered the words which I was holding for too long.
The tip of his fingers was cold, he was making my body cold with every touch of his gentleness.
" You are deeply in love with me!" he looked into my eyes and pierced my soul with his words.
"What?" I whined. Has he lost what is he saying?
Where and when I have fallen in love with him?
" you are pretending to be my fiancee, play your act very clear Ashley,"
Oh, he was talking about his dealing I thought something else. I thought he has lost his mind and wanted to be treated at a rehab.
However, I have to do what he said, this can be fun if I do it in a certain way.
I plunged my arms around his neck and started matching his footsteps.
"What were you saying Blake Darling?" I gave him a wide smile, wise enough to show all my teeth.
"You look lovely Ashely," I can carefully see the smirk on his face. The smirk that was telling them, he is making fun of me.
It made my blood boil in anger. I stomped on his foot.
" what the hell! What is wrong with you?" He accused with his raised temper at me
"Careful sweetheart. We are in public and you need to behave in a certain manner!" I hung my arms around his neck again to pull him to me so that his nose was almost touching mine.
I could feel him shivering under my touch, his eyes were numb and desperate. He licked his lower lip in desperation but we are in public right?
He can not expect anything big from me here.
I slightly pushed him though he was on the verge of falling on the floor I didn't let him fall. I clutched his hand again and helped him to regain his balance.
"I don't want you dear to fall when everyone is watching you. And how can I let you fall when I am in love with you!" I gritted my teeth at the last sentence.
"Oh I see, you love me!"
What?? From the whole sentence, he was capable to pick the statement which was sarcastic and falsified.
"I do not love you! I do not even like you!" I snapped at him. Making my voice very clear to his undoubted standards.
"Then you must be very glad to hear that the feelings are the same from my side,"
I know I shouldn't have felt anything. I shouldn't have felt weightage on my chest. I shouldn't have been burning from inside.
But when I saw him leaving me alone to striding in a direction where a blonde girl, his real girlfriend Sophia was standing in all her glory.
I felt like a scapegoat for this entire world.
