They were giggling while waving at the guys. They seemed to be identical twins. They both had blond hair, long legs with a skinny stature, and tanned skin too.
"Lily, meet Pauline and Paula, my cousins," She spoke up.
"Aren't you gonna introduce us to the hot dudes here?" One of them asks while batting her eyelashes.
I scrunched my brows, how old were these girls? They should be thinking of graduating from secondary school with a very high grade and going to one of the best universities in the world.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate high school relationships, but when people are so into the relationship than what they should really be into, it pisses me off.
"Hey, babe! I'm Tyler." Tyler smirked, stretching his hands to one of them.
"I'm Paula." She batted her lashes again and Tyler kissed the back of her palm, which made her blush more.
Seriously? I scoff mentally.
I didn't know what happened next but the next thing was Paula and Tyler in each other's throats and Crystal giving her a death glare.
And not too long Rich had Pauline on his lap, kissing her neck and whispering words in her ear making her blush.
The funniest thing was while he did that he kept staring at me.
Does he think I'm jealous? Richard was a clown to the highest other and the girl didn't seem to notice he didn't care about her.
Well, he was wrong, I don't find him attractive one bit. I wasn't one of those teenagers who had no self control.
Ric, on the other hand, cared less and was staring at everything that passed in front of him.
Crystal was pissed off at her cousins for their behavior but there was nothing she could do, so she walked away telling me she would be back soon.
"Since we are the only ones left, mind taking a stroll around the beach?" Ric asked.
"Sure it's better than watching them," I replied and stood to my feet.
We both walked on the beach, staring at the beach while we said nothing. I wanted to speak but it was never in me to begin a conversation. "Where do you see yourself in five years from now?" Ricardo asked me.
I have never thought of myself in five years time. I never for once imagined my life, everything was on hold for me, I just lived in the moment and hid myself from many dramas.
"I do not know, and you?" I asked him.
"Almost done with college and looking forward to working," he said and I nodded my head in understanding. What do I want to be in the future and where do I see myself?
I shrugged off the thought.
I got to see a whole side of Ric, all the while we spoke, something intrigued me about him. We spoke deeply, connecting with one another until we decided to take a break from walking.
We sat down on the beach, talking about the challenges of life and our talents. "I'm telling you Chris brown is amazing. Try listening to his songs," Ric tells me.
"I'm not saying he is not, I'm just saying I'm not really a fan. It's normal to like someone's song and not really vibe with them you know," I explained and he nodded his head in understanding.
Suddenly we were both quiet, both of us staring intently at the sea and the waves. It was starting to get dark, everywhere was quiet other than the sound of the wave.
I noticed Ric staring at me and I turned to look at him to be captivated by his blue eyes which made my heart flutter.
Slowly it felt as if I could hear nothing at all other than my heartbeat and slowly I couldn't tell if it was my imagination or not, but we both got closer, my heart beating in my chest as he leaned in.
I wanted to say something, to do something, but I couldn't and just like that he got closer and closer. Just as my eyes closed involuntarily, and I expected his lips to meet mine, the voice of my sister startled us both.
