Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
"I don't think you're dad likes me very much," Seb joked as he started the car and pulled out of my driveway.
"He likes you just fine ," I laughed "he's just trying to intimidate you"
He swallowed, "Well it definitely worked"
I rolled my eyes as I looked out the window. He didn't tell me where we were going and I completely forgot to ask.
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise," he replied as he reached into his top pocket and pulled out a blindfold blindly handing it to me.
I took it from him in shock. I didn't think he was that serious about it being a surprise. What if he was trying to kidnap me? Wait what? He wouldn't do that. I really need to stop watching these movies.
"Are you planning on kidnapping me?" I poked fun at him.
He burst out laughing and turned to look at me briefly before turning around to face road, "do I look like a kidnapper to you?"
"Well I mean..."
He cracked up, "you're lucky you are so cute"
"Does that mean I don't have to put this on?"
"Ah no," he deadpan "put it on now"
"so much for being cute," I mumbled under my breath as I put on the blindfold. I mentally rolled my eyes when I heard him laugh, guess I was speaking louder than I thought.
I listened to the engine as Sebastian and I fell into a comfortable silence. I really loved spending time with him even in this silence it felt as if we were connected somehow. He always tried to make me happy and I do the same. He deserves the same respect as me and I'm more than happy to give it to him because I know he'd do the same for me.
Katy told me that I seem much happier with Sebastian than when I was with Jeremy. Which further proves that I'm better off without the cheater. He deserves what's coming to him not just for humiliating me but for knowingly cheating with Sebastian's ex. Getting back at Clarissa was the icing but getting back at Jeremy will be the cherry on top. I can't wait.
I jumped as I felt Sebastian's hand grip my own. I looked over at him and smiled even though I couldn't see him. He was quickly becoming one of my favorite person.
"We're here," he announced our arrival as he opened his door and got out.
"Great," I was so excited that I began to remove the blindfold.
"No wait don't take it off yet!" he shouted.
I jumped at how loud his voice was, that was unexpected. He's never raised his voicenat me before.
I pouted, "you scared me Seb"
I heard him sigh and I could feel him walk around the car and open my door. He leaned in to kiss me on my forehead.
"I'm sorry love"
"Its okay," I sighed.
"Can I remove the blindfold now?" I asked hopefully.
"Just gimme a sec and I'll tell you when to remove it"
I nodded and listened as he shut the door. I assumed he walked to the back of the truck and because I heard it open. He was busy moving around and at one point I heard him take out something from one of the seats in the back. In all about five minutes had past before he finally walked back over to me and opened the door.
"Can I remove the blindfold now?" I asked hoping he would say yes.
"Nope," he snickered "take my hand Ria"
Everybody else either called me Adrianna or Anna. He was the only person who called me that and I absolutely loved it. I gave him my hand and he helped me out of the car. He led me to where he wanted me and stood behind me. I could feel him slowly remove the blindfold.
"Open," he whispered quietly.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked at the sight in front of me. My eyes widened in surprise at what I saw. He opened the back of the truck and spread a beautiful blue rug all over it. There was an opened picnic basket in the center of it with snacks and drinks on the side. My feet slowly carried me forward as I looked at what he did. There were twinkling lights all over the back, soft music was playing and there was even a little sign that read, 'original enough for you love?'
I turned around and stared at Sebastian in awe. I can't believe he did all of this for me. I absolutely love star gazing, when he mentioned us having a date under the stars I loved the idea but I thought he was joking. Now I see that he wasn't
"Do you not like it?" he asked as he nervously ran a hand through his hair.
I immediately got over my shock when I heard him imply that I didn't like it. It was quite the opposite actually. I loved it. I ran over to him and jumped into his arms, I wrapped my legs around his waist as he steadied himself ensuring that we don't fall.
I pressed my lips to his in a passionate kiss. His lips were soft and pliant against my own. I pulled away from him to press kisses all over his face. His smile was bright and sexy and I couldn't resist giving him one more kiss on his lips.
"I love it baby thank you," I teared up.
"It was my pleasure love"
A tear rolled down my cheek as I stared at him. He set me on my feet as used one of his hands to wipe the tear away.
"What's wrong love?"
I laughed lightly, "I'm fine Seb I'm just a little mad that I didn't meet you first"
His eyes softened as he pushed one of my curls behind my ear, "I'm here now"
He led me over to the truck and helped me up to sit in the back. We spent the next two hours jus talking and eating. I found out that his favorite color was blue, he loved tacos, he wanted to visit Italy someday and he plans on helping his parents with the family business. He didn't elaborate what that was and I didn't ask, he'll tell me when he's ready to.
Now as we lay staring up at the stars I couldn't be more content. After Jeremy I thought that I would never love again but I see now that he just wasn't the one for me and maybe I've found the right person to give my love to.
Its too soon for me to say I'm in love but I'm getting there.
