Maya's eyes fluttered open with a sigh, she couldn't remember getting to her room after going in-depth about her life, something she dreaded to do had come so naturally to her with Xavier.
Xavier? He must have been the one to tuck her into bed after cocooning her in his warmth and allowing her to inhale the unique manly scent that made her feel secure, not alone.
She raised her brow as she saw a brewing cup of coffee next to her lamplight. He had just stepped out of her room not too long ago she noted.
A pink paper caught her eyes, it was underneath the coffee cup. "Hope you slept well and your dreams were as perfect as I look. Because I can't take anything less."
She shook her head at his cheekiness, knowing that anything less will make her suspicious it wasn't him despite the familiar Beautiful cursive writing.
She stirred her cup of coffee momentarily before sipping it, realizing he had made her coffee exactly the way she preferred.
"Four cubes of sugar and five spoons of cream." She raised her eyes just realizing he had just entered the room.
"I wonder how you take such bowl of awful sugar and not throw up." He had a frown on as he stared down at her like being in her room and discussing coffee was the normal pattern of their day.
He was already dressed in an immaculate white designer dress Shirt with matching trousers. His hair was in its usual wavy curl which framed his face accentuating his finer features.
"I don't know. The world is bitter enough, I have got a choice with my tea and it shouldn't taste like crap," She had a challenging stare on and he could tell she was referring to his own choice of black plain coffee.
"Of course, only Maya has a poetic reason why she preferred her coffee a particular way," He smirked shaking his head, "You are a weirdo. My weirdo."
She chose to ignore the eruption of butterflies his words awoke as she distracted herself with another taste of her coffee.
She had a satisfied smile on her face. That was exactly what she had needed, she noticed.
"How did you know how I prefer my coffee?"
"I did my research," His face revealed that there was the end of his answer and she was expected to back off but when has she ever done what she was supposed to? One clue she thought with a smirk, The first word of a popular game. Never have I ever.
"So someone has been stalking me," She gave him a playful grin, "If I didn't know better I'll think you harbor secret affections for me."
His eyes widened as he gaped at her for seconds then he was wearing his schooled expression.
"Don't exert yourself thinking why I did what I did or how I know what I know," He shook his head at her, "And you ain't my type." Then he was leaving her, an amused smile on his face while she had the one of shock.
"No, he didn't just say that did he?" She found herself whispering to herself after minutes of trying to understand what had just happened.
Then she took another sip of her now warm coffee chuckling as she remembered the deer in the headlights look Xavier had on when she had teased him about being in love with her.
He could be sweet and adorable when he wanted, she thought, then shaking her head at the fit he'll throw if he could read her mind and knew she considers him adorable, she smugly chuckled.
That'll only be fair she thought since he'd first thrown a low jab at her saying she wasn't his type.
Every man has the kind of woman they wanted, women too but nobody is so audacious to voice it to another, but well sensitive people not an insensitive royal asshole like Xavier Salvador she mused, then wondering what his taste of women will be like she drifted into a sleep that contained dreams of a shirtless Xavier and dozens of beanstalks in bikinis.

Maya sniffed the air, waking up with a start. She could tell the unmistakable wafting aroma of pancakes in the air making her eyes widen.
Her legs swung down and hastily she wore her flip-flops and was walking towards the kitchen.
Xavier was shirtless and behind his state-of-the-art kitchen, making the little traces of sleep still in Maya's eyes disappear completely as she audibly swallowed wondering what happened to the shirt he had a while ago.
He'd a little smile on his face, "Figured you'll wake up if you knew pancakes were on the menu." He huffed giving her a fake disappointed look, "You English girls are just so predictable and easy."
She sat on one of the barstools she have left there after watching Mr. Gerald prepare a complicated delicious meal for her in absence of nothing better to do.
"What can I say? But at least I'm not as easy as the girls around you who remove their clothes before you say snap and talking about clothes," She raised her brow, "Why ain't you wearing one, or is the Xavier so broke he can't afford a shirt?"
He broke into a grin at her emphasis on 'the'
"Does me being shirtless bother you?" He asked knowingly.
She looked away, "Why'll you think that, Just curious."
"Doesn't seem like it."
"Whatever makes you sleep easier at night then, have a blast with your thought."
"I doubt anything will make me sleep easier at night especially as you lie next door in your pale blue transparent nighties."
Her eyes widened, "You went through my stuff?"
"I'm not that desperate and you are not that sexy to make me become that. I stumbled on it while searching for a duvet to cover you with last night."
"Oh." She whispered, embarrassed she'd rushed to conclusions that he has been snooping, "That makes sense."
"Of course it does." He gave her his infamous mischievous toothy grin, "But at least I won't tell you about your black matching lingerie with a gift ribbon." He clucked his tongue enjoying her discomfort obviously, "You should wear it sometime. I like it."
She choked on her spit and feeling her face become hot she left the kitchen but not before hearing his triumphant chuckle.
