"I'm so sorry about Sonia, I will talk to her. This must not be heard by her parents; it will be a big mess. Our families are not really friends with each other, so, it happened that the other family messed up the other family, it will make war." He caressed my face.
"I don't want that to happen, how can we prevent it?" I asked, this is getting serious.
"Don't worry, I will fix this. Do you want me to walk you through the Dela Fuentes' mansion?" he said.
I shook my head. "No need, you should go home too. Take care of me." I kissed his cheek before leaving.
I sighed, what I have done? This is not supposed to happen. This is not what I planned. What should I do? I am completely out of my agenda, but I can't stop myself from liking and loving Henry.
This what grandma Sonia and Dr. Dizon were telling me before I came here. 'Don't fall in love with Henry' but I just did. I thought it will be easy, I thought I can just ignore Henry and focus on my agenda here, but I fell in love. I fell in love for the first time and now I don't know how to get out of this. I am stuck!
"Papa brought some food for us! Look!" Cristel excitedly showed me the food that her Papa gave to us.
"They look delicious," I said. And very vintage for my eyes.
"How was your talk with Henry?" she asked then opened one of the foods.
"You are right, I love him, and I can't let go of him. I mean, not now but soon. Sonia did saw us, she warned us that her father will hear all that we did for her. That sounds bad, doesn't it?" I make a sour face.
Cristel's jaw dropped, and her food fell. "What did you do, Aliyah? I thought you are going to fix the mess, you just made it worst! What did you do? If Papa will hear this, he will be so mad. We are done!" She was hysterical at the moment.
"Calm down, Henry will talk to Sonia. Let's wait for his update. Let's hope he can fix this," I said, calmly but deep inside, I am really worried.
"Let's pray that he can calm Sonia. You didn't know that woman, she is a spoiled brat, who always gets what she wants because they are rich." She rolled her eyes.
I went to my room to think, I got the paper that contains my 'information' according to Sonia's investigation. She dropped it when she left. I am very curious. What if this is my real identity at this time? What if I am a real syndicate? If Cristel sees this, she will never trust me again, and they might throw me out of their mansion, or worst, they might send me to jail.
"Aliyah," Cristel called me.
I thank myself for locking the door of my bedroom, or else...
After I hide the papers, I opened the door and saw her smiling. "What took you so long to open the door?" She pouted her lips.
"I was having a nap when I heard you knock," I made an excuse.
"Oh, did I disturb you? I just want to ask if you want to come with me. Alfredo invited me for a date, he said that if I want to bring you, it's okay with him. So, do you want to come?" she asked.
I nodded. "S-Sure. No worries, I just get dressed."
So, I guess I am going to be a third wheel again. I am used to it; I am always the third wheel on my friends' dates. I have never been in a relationship, but I know how every relationship works. I am observant, I think.
"So, what you are gonna do?" I asked Cristel while waiting for Alfredo.
"We are just eating ice cream on a newly opened bakeshop on the market," she answered.
And as expected, people are looking at us, I mean, looking only at me. They are whispering as if I didn't know what they are talking about. I just rolled my eyes every time I'll see them.
I made a sour face while watching this lovebird feeding each other with ice cream. Can't they eat by themselves?
"Can I leave you for a while? I just roaming around the market." I stood up.
"Sure," Cristel said then nod.
I roamed around and explore every corner of the market, and at the same time, ignoring these ugly people gossiping about me. I didn't know that this time it is a big deal to call a slut or a flirt. It was just an expression in modern times. I love how time changes people.
I keep on walking and walking until my eyes saw familiar figures. My eyes went wide when I recognized it, they are Henry's parents. Out of curiosity, I followed them. Thankfully, they didn't ride any vehicle. They are just walking towards somewhere. I became nervous when the surrounding started to look like an abandoned place. I quickly hide when they turned their backs. While hiding on the big bush, I saw them entering a big old warehouse. I slowly made my way there.
I know that whatever they are doing or what's inside is very illegal. Just look at the guards at the entrance, they look like terrorists. They are holding a gun and smoking. They don't look like a decent military officer or I was just used to Henry's appearance.
I panicked when someone on my back put his hand on my mouth. I struggled and almost bit his hand when he spoke.
"Hey, it's me. Calm down."
It was Henry. I let out a deep breath. I completely thought I got caught by a terrorist. I am almost crying.
"You are parents are there." I pointed to the warehouse.
"I know, you are right. Something is up to them. I didn't notice it back then until you told me. I know that uniform they are wearing, look at the guards. They are a group of terrorists who killed almost half of the whole troupe in the southern part of the country. My parents are supporting their base here and they are using me to know the whereabouts of the military. If they attack the military base without any notice, we are all going to die or be slaves of these terrorists. I am so stupid," he said.
"Henry, it is not your fault. It's your parents. They chose to be with this terrorist and made illegal doings. You are just doing your duty as a citizen of the country. Now, you know everything, how will you face them?" I hold his hand. We are still hiding behind a big bush.
"I will act as if I didn't discover something bad about them. I will treat them just like how I treat them previously. I will not confront until I can't provide any pieces of evidence of their whereabouts." He bit his lips.
"That's good to hear. What are your plans, then?" I asked.
He looked me in my eyes. "How deep can you love your parents, Aliyah?"
I was stunned by his question. I didn't know how to answer it.
"How wide is your understanding? Can you bring them to jail to stop them from doing wrong?" he asked again.
"H-Henry." That's all I can say.
He hugged me very tight then he starts sobbing. "Because that's will I do to them."
