"You don’t think I’m funny?" Adam asks to mess with Leila. Since she is showing her vulnerable self to him, he can’t help but mess with her and break down her boundaries some more.
"What? No! I didn’t mean that. I just find you both very annoying. You are there to work, not flirt with each other," Leila says rolling her eyes.
Adam smirks. He can see the gears running inside Leila’s head, trying to justify her annoyance towards him.
"To me, it just sounds like you are jealous," Adam says, looking at her with a smug smile.
Leila gives Adam an offended look as she sees him smugly smile at her. "Why would I be jealous? It’s not like I like you or anything. I just find the whole thing annoying," Leila says, turning her head away to avoid eye contact.
"Sure, I believe you," Adam says in a sarcastic tone, earning an annoyed scoff from Leila. Adam just smiles and continues driving.
The sensual music continues to play on the radio as both sit in silence.
After a few minutes, Adam stops as they reach Leila’s apartment.
"We are here," Adam says, turning to Leila, and as Leila turns to look at him, he leans in.
Leila’s eyes widen with surprise as she sees Adam lean in, and her heart starts racing. She balls up her fists, clenches her legs together, and closes her eyes, expecting a kiss, but the kiss doesn’t happen.
She opens her eyes and sees Adam smugly smiling at her with his lips hovering just a few inches from hers. She can feel his breath brush against her.
"There is something wrong with the door. It needs my special attention to unlock it," Adam says, smiling as if he is completely clueless about his actions.
Leila’s face turns red from embarrassment. The door swings open, and Adam leans back in his seat.
Leila unbuckled the seat belt and quickly got out of the car. She couldn’t believe she was willing to let Adam kiss her, only for him to just open the door for her.
She has never been this embarrassed for quite a while.
She wants to rush back to her apartment and hide, but Adam stops her. "Hey, when do you need me to model for you?" Adam asks.
Leila stops, turns around, and looks at Adam, who is still smiling at her. "Saturday evening," she says.
"Sounds like a date," Adam responds. "It’s not a date!" Leila yells, annoyed, turns around, and runs into her apartment.
Adam smirks, seeing her disappear into her apartment. There was nothing wrong with the door. He just did it to mess with Leila and see how she reacts, and he is very pleased with her reaction.
Leila might act tough and cold, but she is clearly a very simple girl hiding behind the mask she has created to hide her own insecurities.
Adam didn’t need much to break through her walls. He was patient with her, made her laugh, made her feel comfortable, and the rest worked out all on its own because of his handsome face and charismatic personality.
Adam drives back home and wonders how things will turn out with Leila in the future.

Adam returns home and sees a few cars parked in the driveway, which makes him wonder who they belong to.
It isn’t Brandon’s car or Julia’s half-sister, Hazel, whom he met a few days ago. Plus, there is more than one car, meaning a group of people has come to his house.
Curious, he parks his car in his usual spot and walks in.
As he pushes open the door, walks in, and hears chattering coming from the dining room.
He walks into the dining room and sees Julia with a bunch of ladies who are around her age, sitting around the table, gossiping and chuckling with each other as Xu Lin serves them food.
Looks like Julia is having a friend’s night.
"Oh, my~ Julia~ I didn’t know you had such a young, handsome lover~," One of the women notices Adam and gets immediately infatuated by how handsome he is.
The woman who just spoke locks eyes with Adam and immediately starts eating at him with her hungry, lustful eyes.
Hearing her words, the other women in the room also turn their heads and look at Adam. Everyone of them is taken aback by the presence that Adam has around him.
They couldn’t help but stare at Adam like a pride of lionesses looking at their prey.
Even though Adam is now used to getting admired by women wherever he goes, it is still a weird feeling when a bunch of women in their thirties look at you like a piece of meat.
Julia frowns, seeing her friends eye Adam like a bunch of shameless whores.
"That’s my stepson, Adam," she quickly corrects her friend so that there is no misunderstanding.
Her friends know that Julia married into riches, but they didn’t expect her to also be a stepmother, as she never mentioned Adam.
They all look at Adam, surprised, as this is the first time they are hearing about him and seeing him.
"Why didn’t you tell us that you had such a fine young man as your stepson?" One of the women says.
Even after being revealed that Adam is Julia’s stepson, the look in these women’s eyes didn’t change. They still looked at him as something they would like to devour.
Adam also took his time checking out Julia’s so-called friends.
All of them seem to come from wealth as they all are wearing very expensive dresses and jewelry, and all of them are clearly very good-looking; some of them have work done on their body while the others are natural.
Adam realizes why all these women are Julia’s friends. They all came from the same circle and the same mindset.
They were either married to wealth or were born into it. The only thing keeping them friends is their love for their expensive lifestyle.
But an expensive lifestyle can get boring very fast if you don’t have a way to live out your human desires, and Adam can tell that all these women are sex-hungry animals who have been starved of sex because their husbands are probably busy working for a multi-million-dollar empire.
It’s the same shit all over again. Julia did the same thing in his past life. Unable to contain her lust anymore, she started cheating on Jack with Brandon. And this time her target of attraction is Adam himself, but she clearly seems very adamant about not giving in to her desire.
As for these other women who are eyeing Adam like a delicious piece of meat, nothing is holding them back from getting what they want other than Adam’s consent.
"Ladies, you can’t keep staring at me like that. I might get shy," Adam says, smiling at the five women who can’t stop checking him out.
"Hehe, aren’t you sweet, come join us," A blond woman with clearly fake breasts, who is sitting next to Julia, says, inviting Adam to sit next to her as she slides over to the next chair.
Julia frowns, but before she can say a word, Adam walks over and sits down beside her and the blond woman.
Adam checks her out. She might have fake breasts, but her face card is definitely good. She probably had a lot of suitors in her 20s, but now she is probably married to some rich dude, as Adam notices the big shiny diamond ring on her finger.
Adam then turns and gives Julia an innocent smile, who fakes a smile back at him but also tries to kick his leg below the table.
She knows that Adam is once again trying to mess with her so she is pissed. But what she doesn’t expect is that Adam anticipated her kick, and now her leg is trapped by Adam as he holds it between his legs.
Julia tries to pull away but feels helpless under Adam’s strength. So she lets him have her leg and stops struggling to not seem suspicious.
Luckily for her, her friends all have their eyes on Adam so they didn’t see the little struggle episode she just had trying to pull her leg away from Adam.
They start questioning Adam about his life, what he does, what he is interested in, what type of girls he likes, and many more questions.
Adam doesn’t answer all their questions truthfully, and some of his answers are clearly meant to tease these women back.
When they asked what’s his type in woman is, he answered. "Older mature woman," which made them smile and woo. They all realized they had a chance to taste this handsome young man.
The blond woman sitting next to him, who introduced herself as Natasha, made an even bolder move after hearing his answer. She put her hand on his lap and started rubbing it.
Adam looked down at Natasha’s hand and up at her before smiling at her. She smiled back as if nothing was happening.
She liked how Adam wasn’t minding her advances, but little did she know, Adam was not the type to just watch and let things happen. He likes to be in control, and to her surprise, Adam placed his hand on her thigh as well.
Since she is wearing a one-piece short dress, her thighs are clearly exposed, so Adam’s hands are doing much more to her than she is to him.
Natasha starts getting goosebumps all over her legs as she realizes that Adam is far bolder than she anticipated, and if she doesn’t want to get caught, she needs to keep her composure.
She has no idea how hard that is going to be.
