When asked why, she replied, "He’s having an affair with Yu Yun and has someone else on the side. He’s too much of a player. You’re cute, though, so why don’t we really get together?"
How could Pan Ge possibly believe that? She immediately became very suspicious, wondering if Xi Luting was plotting something.
So she decided to cut the Gordian knot and first establish the "relationship" with Han Lie at school.
However, one major doubt remained unexplained. That night, Han Lie indeed wasn’t in his dorm, and Xi Luting was unreachable until the next day. She sent a hasty text after 10:00 a.m., then all was silent. She sent two more in the afternoon but never answered her phone.
How could it be such a coincidence? Pan Ge couldn’t figure it out, so she bluntly asked, "Then why weren’t you in the dorm?"
