Ella laid on the bed with the phone in her hand as she watched the trail of gushy texts she sent to Adrian.
The man must be in the main mansion at this moment.
Thinking of what kind of face he might make when he saw her texts, she kicked her feet in the air and laughed.

Realizing that mask on her face had dried up, Ella put her phone aside and sat up on the bed.

Looking at her skin up so close, Ella was a little satisfied.

Her body was almost triple as fat as it was when she was 22. And her neck could barely be seen in the folds of her cheeks. But the thing that struck her heart and filled it with agony was her pair of eyes, dull, bleak and so full of despair.
Ella slowly retreated.
No, this was just a dream... She had been reborn. She was given another chance.
But suddenly, her own voice sounded in her mind—What makes you think that your rebirth is not the dream? Rebirth... Only delusional people like you dream of something absurd like that!
Ella gasped and ran away from the mirrored wall. But in her haste, she tripped and landed on the floor.
"No, the situation is not optimistic.’’
A controlled voice entered Ella’s ears.
This familiar voice... wasn’t it that scam doctor?
When she looked up, she spotted Ronan’s retreating back.
Where was he going? Why was she here in this hospital?
She supported her body with both her palms pressed against the floor. Crawling and staggering, she finally pushed herself to her feet.
With the support of the wall, she followed after Ronan with steady footsteps.
The man suddenly stopped in a particular hallway and then he disappeared into a room.
Ella looked up slowly.
Above the desolate room, the words ’emergency room’ floated in bold words.
"No... I don’t know... the situation is beyond control...’’
Ella’s head snapped in the direction of the voice.
At the end of the hallway, Ji Yan was pacing with a phone pressed to his ears. Tears rolled down the man’s eyes while he spoke.
