A year and a half later...
It’s funny to watch my wife, yes, my wife fidgeting and constantly blowing a breath. This is her first major project. I can’t be any prouder of her as I watch her work hard in her growing 4x4 Gear.
Her engineers and designers worked hard every day and night to perfect their design. I awed when I saw the graphic design she showed me when I visited her at her office.
“Relax, Babe. You will get the deal, trust me.” I squeeze her trembling hand.
They had a few proposals but had been turned down, said it was already on the market, but Camila never gave up and worked harder to make it more advanced and unique to attract the auto market.
“You’re pretty confident,” she says, squeezing my hand back.
“I am, and your project is just perfect. Trust me, you and your team did a great job. And I’m so proud of you.”
“I didn’t get the deal yet, Love.”
“No matter what their decisions, I am still very proud of you. Just promise me you will not give up?” I stare at her intently because I know she loves what she’s doing.
“Pyke, if it’s because BK Motors doesn’t like the team’s design, still, I don’t see any reasons to give up what I love doing. And I want to make my father proud.”
“You know you own a company and that shop. You don’t have to work, just stay at home and take care of our children. I can feed you and our future family, Babe. My business is expanding, the last time I checked, It’s growing, thanks to Kill.”
Kyland is taking online management classes at night since he works during the day now they have a baby girl.
“I know, but I can’t just get pregnant every year and bear a child, you know. I want to work and be a mother at the same time.”
“And you are not good at giving me babies, Camila.”
She crosses her arms over her chest, making me look down at her slightly exposed cleavage.
“Eyes up here, husband.” She glares, snapping her fingers on my face.
Grinning sheepishly. “I like what I see, Babe.”

I laugh harder. “That’s a hundred percent true. Just with you, wife.”
Camila suddenly stiffens. That’s when I see the door swings open and the BK motors team walks inside dominating the room. The CEO’s expression is blank and stops in front of Camila.
I can feel my wife holding her breath and probably expecting bad news. The CEO suddenly extend his hand to my wife. “Welcome to the team!”
Camila’s eyes widen. Her jaw drops. “Oh, my god! You’re kidding right?”
He shakes his head. “You’re right, based on the test drive yesterday, it has 67% accuracy than the latest driver-less car in the market. To make your design—”
“My team’s design,” Camila corrects.
“Yes, your team’s design is more competent. The interior is amazing. Your airbag design makes a lot safer for passengers. The odometry is far more sensitive to the obstacle and possible traffic collisions. What my team likes more is the mobile application. Your live stream coverage, alarm, and fingerprint scanner to avoid cars from being stolen are all in one app. How excellent is that? We’re glad you came to us. Congratulations, Mrs. Hughes!”
“Thank you so much!”
“Mr. Hughes, you should be proud of your wife.”

We flew yesterday to Tuscany after sealing the deal. Camila and I took a week-vacation at my grandparents’ cottage. I was surprised that she chose to spend at the green surrounding than most women want—at the beach.
We had a tour around the vineyard this morning. Her face lit up, eyes widened in awe, mouth gaped open the moment she saw the grapes hanging from its vines. She moaned as soon as the fresh grape juices in her mouth, savoring the taste with closed eyes.
We had dinner with creamy tortellini and smoked sausage. The Cabernet Sauvignon has aged the flavor and aroma from the oak barrels at my grandparent’s winery. Camila started to take a little sip during our engagement party. Since then, she drinks in moderation.
I wrap the towel securely around my waist, walking to our room with the veranda that has an excellent view of the vineyard. The stars twinkle in the clear dark skies with a new moon hanging above us, giving a perfect romantic atmosphere plus the lamp posted to the wall, giving a yellow glow to the veranda.
Who would have thought I have this romantic side in me? The asshole Pyke turns into a one-woman-man. Parker was right after all. I fall hard and my heart only belongs to a woman, and one pussy can satisfy me for the rest of my life.
“What are you smiling at?” Her eyes light up, glancing at me. She’s wearing a deep red silk robe and thin nighties with an untouched red wine on the table.
“Since when are you so engrossed at reading?” I lean against the door frame, crossing my arms over the chest.
“I don’t know, I picked this up from Bianca’s table in her office. It happened this book is actually a romance.” Showing me the cover of a half-naked man.
“And since when you like reading a romance novel?”
She barks into laughter. “I’m actually having fun. The guy is an asshole and the woman is a demure type.”
“Uh, a stereotyped bad boy, playboy. I know you have a thing for that kind of guy.” I don’t know why suddenly I feel a pang in my chest. She’s already my wife, but still, I’m jealous of her imaginary guy.
“I never dream of that kind of guy. I always wanted someone with excellent humor, a good job, a handsome face, haven’t issued a traffic violation ticket, doesn’t drink—”
“A boring guy without sexcapades. A perfect guy doesn’t exist, Babe.”
“Then why does your face looks like you lose in the stock market?”
“Nothing, give me that trash.” I grab the book in her hand. “Stop reading like this.” I walk into the room.
“Pyke, that’s not nice!” she yells.
“You’re hurting me, Camila!” I yell back.
“How does reading book hurt you?” She gets inside, slamming the door shut behind her.
“Because you want a good guy and you know I’m not.”
“Aw, you’re such an immature sometimes! I fell in love with your assholeness, dirty mouth, your body, and your dick! I marry you and said I love you every single day and now you’re still not convinced of that?” She looks pissed, hands already prop on her hips.
“I don’t know, Babe.” I shrug. “I want to be your dream guy—”
