Chapter 67 [Not Cabbage]
A stream of Primordial Qi shot out, instantly parting the lake water. A silhouette beneath the water was tightly locked by the Qi and was dragged up, landing heavily on the shore.
This figure was unmistakably a little monster.
Like the two monsters before, it had a head full of disheveled grey hair, wet and sticking to its head from being underwater. Its face was fierce and contorted, with a mouth revealing a mess of sharp fangs.
However, its stature was small, even smaller than the previous two monsters. It was about the height of an average human child.
The little monster struggled, raising its head and baring its teeth at the old man, hissing.
The old man squinted at it, then slowly approached, raising his right hand...
A large slap, infused with Primordial Qi, struck the monster’s left cheek, causing it to stagger to the right.
Another slap on the right cheek, making the monster stagger to the left.
When it raised its head again, the little monster was no longer roaring. There were several fingerprint marks on each of its cheeks.
Its eyes, however, had become much clearer.
Seeing the old man raise his hand again, the little monster immediately curled into a ball, covering its head with its hands and whimpering in fear.
"Hmm, you lot must be a family of three. It’s rare to see a group of Mountain Demons, but it seems you’ve developed some intelligence." The old man squinted, glanced at the little Mountain Demon: "Your Evil Qi is not weak; you’ve killed quite a bit. Originally, I should have cut you down with one sword. However, I happen to be refining a Magical Treasure that requires Evil Qi for nourishment. You’ll do just fine."
After pondering for a moment, the old man pointed with his hand, and a golden light entered the little Mountain Demon’s head, causing it to tremble, roll on the ground, its bones stretching and shrinking, its head and body transforming, even growing gray fur.
Finally, it lay motionless, looking like a large monkey sprawled on the ground.
In a cold voice, the old man said: "I shall store my Magical Treasure in your Spiritual Sense, drawing upon your Qi of Yin Sha daily to nourish it. In ten years, your Evil Qi will be absorbed completely. Consider yourself fortunate to live another ten years!"
Hmm, the kid next door has a Demon Cultivator old turtle; I, an old man, having a big monkey should save some face too.
With that, the old man grabbed the large monkey and disappeared in a flash of light.
A few minutes later, a girl on the lakeside shivered and woke up with a start, screaming:

Before dawn, a black sedan slowly drove out of a forest road.
At the forest edge, the car stopped, and Chu Keqing, wrapped in a wool coat, stepped out, first looking at the forest at dawn, then taking a light breath.
A hint of gravity appeared on her beautiful face, as she muttered: "There’s a scent of Evil Qi..."
"Elder Zi!" Her assistant was already beside her, holding a wooden box with both hands.
Chu Keqing took out her White Jade Compass and held it in one hand, slowly walking toward the forest.
Two police cars drove slowly out of the forest road and passed by Chu Keqing.
Chu Keqing frowned at the passing police cars, then said in a low voice: "The police have been here. Something must have happened. Go ask about it."
The assistant nodded and turned to make a phone call.
Chu Keqing stood at the edge of the forest, looking up into the woods, then with one hand holding the compass, the other forming a hand seal, she quickly calculated something. Using her Qi Observation Skill to carefully examine, she suddenly took a deep breath, bent over, and stepped into the woods.
"Elder Zi?" The assistant was startled: "The woods are damp and cold, you..."
Chu Keqing waved her hand: "Go inquire quickly, then come find me in the woods."
Saying that, she ignored the dew wetting her white wool coat and slowly walked into the forest.
In the middle of the night, last night, Chu Keqing had awoken from a dream. She had Tao Practice and good Cultivation, and with the Qi Observation Skill, she naturally sensed the location of Evil Blood Qi.

Due to the lake’s presence, Qi of Yin Sha would be trapped by the water, accumulating over time and eventually leading to unspeakable occurrences.
Walking around the lake, she noticed traces on the ground... Someone had been here.
Her eyes lit up at the forest edge.
A small tree had been snapped, seemingly ripped apart by some force. The trunk was shattered. Taking a few steps further, she saw another tree fallen, apparently knocked down by some force.
