JULIANA'S POV
I woke up feeling the most comfortable I've felt in a while. I reached out on my bed to try and locate Estella but I frowned as I found it empty. I was so used to waking up with her cuddled up against me.
I stretched and began to get ready.
I had a shower, brushed my teeth and changed into some comfortable clothes for the day.
I thanked god that it was Saturday because I was not in the right state of mind to be at work.
I checked the time and it was almost 9. That's the latesI've ever woken up.
I went down to Tyberias' kitchen to find Tyberias nowhere to be seen. He was probably still asleep.
I decided to make Tyberias breakfast , wanting to repay him for letting me temporarily stay at his place.
30 minutes later
I smiled in satisfaction as I looked down at the dining table in front of me. There was a plate with a stack of pancakes, another with pieces of bacon, and the final plate was full of scrambled eggs.
"It smells amazing" I heard Tyberias say as he walked into the room.
"Thank-" I began but stopped as I laid my eyes on him. He was shirtless wearing only grey jogging bottoms. I already assumed he was going to be muscular but nothing could've prepared me for how good he actually looked. His chest was hard, tanned and covered in tattoos. My eyes trailed down lower to his six pack and down to the dark trail of hair that disappeared into his pants.
Woah.
I cleared my throat before speaking, slightly embarrassed that I was blatantly staring at him.
"Thank you" I smiled.
He sat down and began putting some food on his plate.
He stared at me seeing as I didn't make a move to take any of the food.
"Why aren't you eating?" He said
"I don't usually eat breakfast. I don't get hungry in the morning" I replied
"Sit down" he commanded and nodded to the chair opposite his.
I sat down and waited as he got up from his seat and went into the kitchen.
What was he doing?
He returned shortly after with another plate in his hand and placed it in front of me. Then he began pulling generous amounts of food into my plate. While he was doing this, I couldn't help but to stare at him in awe.
He actually cared?
I've never had someone take care of me like this before. Normally it was me taking care of others. It felt nice to be on the receiving end.
Once he was satisfied with the amount on my plate, he took a seat opposite me and we began eating.
"Do you have any plans for today" he said.
"No"
"Good, neither do I so we can spend the day together"
"Who said I wanted to spend the day with you?" I joked while smiling.
"Trust me, girls would be begging to be in your position right now" he grinned
"Cockiness isn't attractive" I replied, smiling as I see his grin fade.
"I thought girls liked that type of thing" he said and I shrugged.
i'M nOt LiKe MoSt GiRlS. The cliché and extremely cringe worthy sentence that was overused in many books came into my head.
We proceeded to eat in a comfortable silence but there was a question on my mind that I was contemplating on asking.
"What type of work do you do for a living, Tyberias" I couldn't help the words as they stumbled out my mouth.
He immediately stopped eating and cleared his throat
"I just sell some stuff. You don't need to worry about it."
"I don't need to worry about it? I'm not stupid, Tyberias. I know you do some shady shït otherwise I wouldn't have been threatened to stay away from you."
He huffed before answering
"Fine, I'll tell you but you don't repeat this to anyone. Understood?"
I nodded eagerly
"I sell drugs and weapons to people around the world. But I also have some legitimate businesses to fall back on like clubs and hotel chains." He said calmly.
He raised and eyebrow, waiting for my reaction.
"Woah. That's so cool!" I said, moving to the edge of my seat, eager to know more.
"Cool? I didn't expect that type of reaction from you. I thought you would go running for the hills"
I shook my head at his suggestion
"So do you like... kill people" I asked, strangely intrigued.
"Yes. But only when I have to" He said, analyzing my face for any type of reaction.
The weird thing was, I wasn't scared. As crazy as it sounded, I knew Tyberias wouldn't hurt me.
"Are you scared of me now?" He asked.
"No"
"You're weird." He commented and I nodded my head in agreement.
"So... what will we be doing today?" I asked changing the subject
"I was thinking we could go to my personal gym so I could train you for a little bit, teach you some self defense".
I nodded.

I stood in front my mirror and stared at my reflection. I was wearing a sports bra with shorts that hugged my ass nicely. Agreeing that the bra was too revealing, I threw on a baggy shirt.
I walked down the stares and made sure to follow Tyberias' exact directions to his gym.
Woah. It was huge.
I walked in to see Tyberias lifting some weights. The sight made my mouth dry. He was wearing a vest and some shorts shorts that hung dangerously low. His biceps were bulging as he lifted the weight above his head and the back down. The sweat that was dripping from his skin made it glisten in the light.
Then, as if noticing I had arrived, he put the weights down, made direct eye contact with me before he peeled his shirt off his body and used it to wipe away his sweat. I had to wipe my mouth to make sure there was no drool.
I cleared my throat, "Sorry, I'm late I got lost" I said calmly. I totally wasn't checking you out for a couple minutes
"It's no problem. Let's get started". He said walking towards a large mat.
I couldn't help but stare at his behind as he walked off. Damn
"Coming" he grinned as if he knew I was checking him out.
That's what he said.
I quickly nodded and followed him, standing opposite him in the mat.
"Let's begin." He nodded
