Jean Verodine
“Hey bestie!” I said cheerly as I got into her car.
“Hey! I miss you!” She squealed and we hugged each other tightly.
“So how’s your body?” She asked.
“Getting better everyday, so where are we going now?”
“Lombie Café.” She said and we both squealed. That’s our favorite café and it’s been awhile since we went there.
“Turn on the radio!” I said as I pressed the on button. We both jamming to the lastest hits, it was fun. It’s been awhile since I spend my time with Lexy. I took a healing time and she’s still working. We usually go everywhere together but now I can’t go to work for 3 months.
We got there in no time and we both ran into the café. I don’t even need to scan the menu because I know what I want right away.
“Passion fruit mix with extra ice.” I ordered.
“Nutella shake, do you want the red velvet cake?” Lexy asked.
“I think I want a waffle.”
“Okay then, one waffle with vanilla and green tea ice cream and one red velvet cake please.” Lexy ordered it without asking me what kind of flavor that I want. That’s my bestfriend.
“Let’s sit down outside since the weather is nice.” Lexy pulled me out to the balcony. We sat on the corner and no one’s here yet since it’s quite early.
“Jean” Lexy suddenly called.
“Hmm?”
“I’m going to Australia.” She stated and I raised my eyebrows.
“How long? 2 weeks?”
“For good.” My eyes widen when she said that.
“What? Why?”
“My mom needs me.”
“Lexy, I’m your bestfriend. You need to tell me.”
“I’m running away from Sebastian.”
“What? Sebastian as in Sebastian Cesborn?”
“Yeah.”
“What happen exactly?”
“We had a thing but he doesn’t want relationship. He’s completely like Blake.”
“But Blake change.”
“Sebastian and Blake are different. Sebastian is more on the rock head side. We slept together last week and it was crazy. I completely head over heels for him but he treated me like a one night stand only.”
“Isn’t it better to solve everything first?”
“We can and we never get that settle, Jean. Sebastian is not likt Blake. He won’t change.
“Running away from something is not you.”
“My mom needs me too so yeah..”
“How long?”
“I told the company that I need 2 years.”
“When will you go?” I asked in a sad tone.
“Next week.” She answered.
“Why so fast?”
“My brother called me early to go back so yeah. Jean, please don’t tell Sebastian and Blake about me going to Australia!” She begged and I nodded.
“You don’t look okay, Lexy. Stop giving me that tough expression!” I said and she sighed.
“I’m not okay, Jean. I like Sebastian a lot. He treat me so good and he’s just charming. I can’t.. I felt use.” I held her hand trying to comfort her. She leaned back and sighed again.
“I know running away is a coward action but I just don’t want to be in one territory with him.”
“I’ll visit you sometimes.” I said and she nodded.
“I don’t want you to go..” I said sadly and she hugged me.
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s your choice and I want you to be happy not to be sad. If you think this is the best way then it’s better for you to go.” I released the hug and at the same time our food and drinks came.
“Are you sure about all of this?”
“Yeah, I need to go to check on my mom too. She’s so lonely these days.”
“Okay then.” I nodded.
“You need to call me if you’re sad!” I said seriously and she chuckled.
“Drop me at the airport?”
“Of course!” I smiled.
“Bestfriend always right?”
“Bestfriend as always.” I hugged her one more time.
