Lilian POV
I try and catch my breathe along with Demonia as we lay on the forest bed together, naked and wrapped in each other's arms, our bodies are molded perfectly together under the bright sun coming from the gaps of the trees.
I had so much fun today, playing chase with Demonia, it had been a thrill I had never experienced before, the thrill of him chasing me and catching me drove me and my wolf to new heights, we pushed ourselves more, ran harder and further than ever before, in anticipation of him finding it, it had become too exciting, we kept going and going.
Until he found us, and he found us within minutes, Demonia's impressive hunting skills had tracked us so easily, even though I had scattered my scent all over as I ran.
"I wonder what it would feel like." Demonia says beside me.
I turn to see him staring at me, he has such long beautiful dark eyelashes, I adore them and his beautiful dark eyes. "What do you mean?" I ask.
"To be a wolf, to run through these trees, it sounds liberating to someone like me." He says, turning to stare up at the trees.
I rest my head on his chest and he wraps his muscled arm around me, pulling me closer. "It's.. freeing, as all your worries drift away and it's just you and nature, nothing else matters."
He hums. "Maybe in another life, I could be a wolf and chase you for real." He says, a hint of sadness in his voice.
I look at him and he looks deep in thought, there is nothing more I would love than running with Demonia through the trees, to show him the world as to how I see it when I shift, to run with your mate... it's magical and romantic, I wish I could do this with him, every time I see Demonia and his form, I get a sense of disgust from how he sees himself through my eyes and it breaks my heart.
He doesn't love himself as he is, but I think he is beautiful, everything about him is strong and kind, he's not the most gentle looking guy because of how intimidating he is, but I feel like he puts that guard up around people, as we lay here together I see the true Demonia.
He just wants to be loved and to love himself.
"Maybe." I pause. "What does it feel like to have wings and fly? I would love to experience it." I say with a smile as he laces our hands together.
He sighs and grunts, it causes a vibration in my ear. "Lonely." He says slowly. "As you noticed, only royals have this form, and there's not many of us, flying to me is not like running is to you, I don't find it something to be proud of."
I sit up and stare down at him, his face is serious, which means he truly believes his words, how could he not be proud of the fact he can fly? It's such a gift, a blessing, he's special and he does not see it, it makes me want to hug him tight and never let go.
Demonia sits up with me and looks for our clothes. "We should head back, it's getting late."
I touch my stomach and watch him, what would Demonia feel if our pup was Renoan? Would he be happy? Sad? Would he reject it or love them, I worry that he is pushing himself too much to be the guy he thinks I want him to be, that he's not focusing on the problem.
He needs to love himself before he could love anyone else, and I know he loves me, but I see him hate himself more, and that worries me, he's such a beautiful man but he has so many demons that haunt him.
"Here." He hands me my dress. "Do you want to run or walk back?" He asks and I think of something.
Would he allow me? I'm curious...
"Um." I smile shyly. "C-Could we perhaps.. fly back?" I ask, avoiding his gaze as I put the dress over my head and slide it down my body.
Demonia frowns and stares at me with an expression I can't read. "If that's what you want.."
I sense the sadness in his words and I reach out for his hand. "I love you, wings, horns, and spikes.. all of it, we can walk back too, I don't mind." I reassure him and he shakes his head.
He takes his shirt off again and chuckles softly, his wings spring free from his back and his transformation comes within seconds, his dark eyes stare at me with awe then he holds his large hand out, his skin is spikey and rough, his nails are large and sharp.
Perhaps I didn't think this through, I take his hand and he pulls me into him gently.
I swallow nervously and glance up at him, trying not to pierce my skin on his sharp body. "Um, are you sure?"
He grins down at me, his large fangs visible. "I got you, just hold onto me here." He pauses and hints to his torso and shoulder, where it's less spikey. "And leave the rest to me." He says and I not my head.
I hold onto him tightly, my heart beating against my chest with the excitement of how strange this is, but I am loving it with every second and we haven't even left the ground yet, I think Demonia can sense my excitement as he laughs huskily in my ear as he wraps an arm around me gentle, careful so he won't hurt me.
I can hear his heartbeat as my eat is pressed into his chest, it's beating steadily, in a confident pace, unlike mine that is beating wildly against my chest. I can see Demonia spread his wings only slightly, his muscled wide chest blocks the view, but I can hear the sound.
It sounds like a giant bird is flapping it's wings near me, making my hair fly wildly around me as I feel us no longer on the ground.
We're moving up and the feeling is.... out of this world, I can not describe how it feels right now, we're flying, I'm flying and I can't believe Demonia would hate this, it's beautiful.
The view from on top of the tree's is a sight I will never forget, the view of the palace up against, reasting high on the mountains overlooking The Vale looks magical from a distance, the view of The Vale from the tree's makes me feel giddy, I've never seen The Vale from so high before.
I can't help myself from laughing. "This is amazing!"
Demonia chuckles at me. "It's not that bad, especially with you in my arms." He says looking down at me as I laugh up at him.
We're so high up, that if Demonia dropped me or if I had let go, I would surely be crushed to death, I can almost feel the clouds in my hands, it's so surreal I can't believe my eyes at how beautiful the view from up here is, I'm jealous.
The palace is close and I had hoped it would take longer, I could spend all day in the air with Demonia's arms around me, to just enjoy this moment forever in the clouds with my mate.
"Hang on tight Lilian." Demonia whispers in my ear and I nod my head and grip onto him, I keep my eyes open and watch as Demonia's wings surround us, no longer spread wide and flying, we drop from the sky like a hawk, it feels as if we are falling and a part of me is terrified of hitting the ground but Demonia has done this many times and he lands on the ground swiftly without any problem, like he's done this a thousand times before.
