Enzo was rushed to the hospital. They moved him to ICU. He was still holding her hand in his unconscious state.
“Please stay here!” The doctor said to them, Mia removed his grip and placed his hand beside him, “Mia!!” He whispered in a low, painful tone.
“Please Enzo, open your eyes!” She pleaded in tears.
They rushed him to the operation theater. Mia and Adam are praying to God outside the theater when the doctor walked out.
“Doctor, how is he!!” Mia asked in tears.
“Complicated, the bullet was just next to his heart. Every passing second it’s moving towards his heart. If it happens, he may be no more.” The doctor informed them.
“No, he should be alive. Please do something!!” She cried.
“We will try our best. We need his family’s permission to do the surgery. Inform them as soon as possible.” Doctor said.
“I was his family doctor. Please do the operation,” She said them.
“What is your relationship with him?” Doctor asked.
“I’m his wife!!” She shouted, which shocked Adam.
She completed all formalities and signed as his wife. Doctors left to operate him. Adam stood there in confusion by seeing her crying vigorously. After 3hours, doctors walked out and shifted him to ICU.
“Operation was successful, but We can’t say anything until 24hrs.” Doctor said and left.
“Mia!!” A called her from behind. She turned towards him in her pale face.
“Are you the same girl for whom Enzo searching from the past 2 years.” He asked her to clear his confusion.
She nodded ‘yes’ “Then he said you hate him to the core,” He questioned.
“I did” She whispered while wiping away her tears.
“Then it’s happy, let him die,” Adam said with a smile which made her angry.
“He can’t die!!” She shouted in anger.
“Why?? because you’re loving him so?” Adam had broken his silence, making her jolt by his question.
She left his shirt in shock. She walked away towards the balcony of the hospital.
Mia pov,
I can’t love him. He destroyed my life. He made me leave my dad. He made me leave my dream. He snatched my peace and made my life hell. How can I forgive him so easily? No, I don’t love him and will never love such a monster. But?? Why he risked his life for me!!! Why he left me easily without any question!! Why he got ready to die for me!! Does he love me?? No, he never does it then why he did all this? As I lost in my world of thoughts. I heard a voice from behind. Adam walked to me with a smile.
“Don’t worry, he will be fine!” he said while forwarding a cup of coffee. I forced a smile on my pale face, but I know he caught it.
“Are you thinking about something?” He asked while sipping his coffee.
“Hmm ”
“About Enzo!!” He asked me and I nodded.
“Enzo!!! What do you think about him? Say frankly,” He asked in a calm, friendly tone.
No doubt that he made me feel comfortable, like an elder brother.
“He is different, something inside and another thing outside. Double shaded and totally confusing person in my life. My biggest problem of life a few days before,” I said what I felt about him.
“Hmm, do you want to know him?” he asked.
“ Of course, if you can!!”
“Before knowing Enzo, you better know me... I was not a billionaire and not even had millions. My dad is a normal employee in his dad’s office and my mom used to be a caretaker for him. When I was 5, I met him as a 3 years old baby. I used to play with him. We have grown together, we have been good friends. I don’t have any money to study, so I discontinued my studies. He asked me the reason, and I told him the same. He paid my fee out of his pocket monkey secretly. He used to share my lunch box to save money from his canteen expenses for me. My school was over. I dreamt of being a lawyer and he wanted to be an engineer, but my expenses increased, and his parents didn’t understand him. They forced him to do B.B. M and MBA to take up their business. His parents supported my studies as I’m a topper and I will take care of Enzo. In future, I will join their firm, but Enzo left unhappy. He struggled to get himself into a new stream. I tried to comfort him, but all are in veins. I saw his restless night where he cried by his helplessness. He felt bad on himself for not getting a life that he dreamt of. He stopped talking, I thought he is focusing on studies, but later I realized that he stopped expressing. He stopped being normal. He stopped smiling. He had grown up emotionless in the same way. What his parents want him to be An arrogant Businessman Enzo Ferdinan. Just like a stone. I used to get tears by seeing him rude and emotionless. But I have seen him smiling for the first time after years when he met you for the first time in your school. He called me and said the way you shouted on him with a smile. It surprised me. I know he gave you some terrible experience, but trust me, he is not bad. He never saw a girl like this before. If possible, give him a chance or else it’s ok but please don’t hate him. He really likes you so much that he wanted to give his life for you. He loves you more than he does with me, but he didn’t realize that feeling and don’t worry, he will be fine.” He said and left me alone in a shocking state.
“Oh, God!! Do you know what the fucking hell he did with me???” I shouted at him.
“Hmm, I don’t know anything, but I know that he forced you to stay with him.” He said with a smile.
“You don’t know then how can you say he is good!! He is worse than you know!!” I scowled in anger.
“So, he left you free right!! When you get the answer to the question ‘why he left you?’ then you can decide! And now don’t control your tears and stay with hope. Everything will be fine.” He said while walking away. Whatever he said feels to be true. Should trust him and give him a chance!!

Mia was sitting beside him on the couch. Suddenly she heard a long beep sound from the HRM attached to him. The lines started falling, making her scare.
“Doctor!!” She shouted while running out of the cabin. The doctors rushed inside, and the machine stopped beeping as his heart stopped beating.
“Enzo!!” She shouted in fear, waking him up.
“We are sorry he is no more!!” The doctor confirmed by covering the white sheet on Enzo’s face.
Her world is frozen in front of her eyes forming fresh tears flowing down her cheeks.
“You can’t die!! How can you die, Enzo!!” She shouted in tears while falling on him. All the doctors and staff left the cabin as they are helpless.
“Enzo!! Please don’t do this with me!! I really want you alive.” She cried she remembered the way she scolded him that she will kill him one day.
“I don’t want to kill you really, I just said in anger. Please come back!! I will never scold even you irritate me. Please don’t go!!” She cried for him, but he left lifeless on the bed.
“Enzoo!!” She cried vigorously.
“I will be ok even you touch me. I will never complain please come back!!” She cried more than a small voice grabbed her attention.
“Mi... Mia!!” Enzo whispered in his low, weak tone.
“Enzo... Enzo!! You woke up... I know you will not die. You’re alive!!” She cried in joy and hugged him tight in tears of happiness.
“Really!!” He asked in a low tone.
“What really!!” She asked him.
“Hmm, that you will not complain even I touch!” He asked with a naughty smile.
“What!! You heard that all!!” She asked in surprise. He nodded with a smile.
“I opened eyes but you’re busy in crying and shaking me,” He said with a smile.
“Stupid!! Idiot!! Donkey!! I got so scared” She scolded in tears, and she felt happy to stay in his embrace.
“You didn’t answer my question yet!!” He whispered in her ear.
“Shameless!!” She scolded while walking away to call the doctor.
Doctors rushed in and treated Enzo. It surprises them to see him smiling and alive.
“It’s a miracle!! He is out of dangerous Mrs. Ferdinan.” The doctor informed Mia, and she felt relieved and happy.
