The night was cool and serene, with the Milky Way stretching across the sky.
The wind quietly died down.
Natsume's heart stirred, and he slowly opened his eyes.
Sapphire-blue eyes, like the sky, reflected the starlight.
Pure white ribbons extended from its bow, wrapping tightly around Natsume's arm.
The little one turned its head away awkwardly, its cherry-colored ears twitching slightly, while its white fur swayed gently in the night breeze.
"It's a Sylveon," Cynthia said softly.
Natsume hadn't expected Evolution to happen under such circumstances.
But thinking about it, Jirachi's departure must have touched the little one deeply. Combined with the Fairy-type move "Charm," the conditions for Evolution were met.
The bow used to treat its wounds back then must have left a lasting impression too.
Natsume smiled, reaching out to pat the little one's head. Its fur was unexpectedly soft to the touch.
"After all, daughters have to grow up someday!"
"Sylveon…" Sylveon narrowed its eyes, nuzzling comfortably into Natsume's palm.
The departure of Jirachi and the Evolution of Eevee left Natsume-sensei with a lingering sense of loss.
But no matter how Evolution happens, the most important thing—the bond—never changes.
This is the creed Natsume-sensei lives by when it comes to Pokémon.
"Sylveon is quite rare, only evolving from an Eevee with an extremely deep bond with its Trainer," Steven said with a smile. "It really trusts you, Natsume-sensei."
Natsume was momentarily stunned, then looked down at the little one.
Sylveon puffed out its cheeks and turned its head away, but the ribbon wrapped around Natsume's arm never loosened.
Natsume couldn't help but laugh.
This guy… is such a tsundere!
Cynthia reached out to her Garchomp, smiling gently. "Meeting and bonding with Pokémon is truly the best thing."
"Garchomp—" Garchomp narrowed its eyes and lowered its head obediently.
"I told you, Natsume-sensei must be a Coordinator!" Ruby whispered.
"You idiot, don't ruin the moment!"
Sapphire, wiping her tears, lunged at Ruby, only to be caught in his arms.
"Anyway, let's not disturb them for now," Ruby said seriously. "Bonds and trust… I think that's the source of Natsume-sensei's strength."
Sapphire, her eyes still teary, nodded.
Though intangible, the energy of emotions truly exists in this Pokémon world.
After all, just like with that kid Ash, if you believe and love, Pokémon will respond.
Natsume held Sylveon in his arms, thinking to himself.
It's still a bit unfamiliar… I can't carry Eevee on my shoulder anymore.
But then again, Sylveon's limbs are so slender—couldn't it wrap around my neck like a scarf?!
Examining the little one, Natsume nodded thoughtfully. "That might actually work…"
"Sylveon?" Sylveon blinked its sapphire-blue eyes, tilting its head.
Two red beams automatically released from their Poké Balls.
Haunter and Squirtle circled Sylveon, marveling at it, only to be met with a cold glare that made them shiver.
Though it's become more beautiful, its temper is still as fiery as ever!
After Evolution, Sylveon mastered "Disarming Voice."
Including the previously learned "Charm" and "Baby-Doll Eyes," it now knows three Fairy-type moves.
However, due to Sylveon's "Pixilate" Ability, Normal-type moves are more effective, making "Disarming Voice" less powerful than "Quick Attack."
Natsume stroked his chin.
I feel like my Pokémon's Effort Values are a bit off…
Whatever, as long as it looks good!
The evening breeze blew gently as Natsume gazed at Sylveon's cherry-colored ribbons, smiling. "Anyway, let's get along from now on, Eevee!"
The little one tilted its head, then smiled sweetly. "Sylveon!"
Natsume couldn't resist reaching out to ruffle its snow-white fur, muttering, "Truly, a real man should have a Sylveon!"
"By the way, shouldn't you loosen the ribbon around my arm?"
The starry river stretched endlessly as Jirachi gradually disappeared with the comet, leaving only the vast expanse of stars.
Natsume lay down on the grass with Sylveon in his arms, Haunter floating in the air, and Squirtle peeking out from its shell.
Steven and the others followed Natsume's lead, lying on the grass and gazing up at the starry sky.
"That's the Ursaring and Teddiursa constellation, also known as the Big and Little Bear constellations," Steven explained, pointing at the sky.
"That's the Milotic constellation, also known as Hydra…"
"Is there a Jirachi constellation, Mr. Steven?" Sapphire asked.
Steven thought for a moment, then a star suddenly twinkled.
"That one… must be Jirachi."

The Wish Slip, having lost its wish-granting abilities after Jirachi's departure, served as a memento of this journey.
The Dynamax Band from the Galar Region is made from Eternatus's Meteorite.
The Wishing Star provided by the System is likely related to Jirachi and could probably be used to make a Dynamax Band.
But that's Galar-exclusive and doesn't concern Natsume-sensei for now.
Natsume fiddled with the Wishing Star, muttering, "Meteorites in the Pokémon world are truly amazing… Eternatus, Jirachi, Deoxys—it's almost enough for a mahjong game!"
As for the other reward, [James's Collection], Natsume got lucky for once and pulled out a Luxury Ball.
The black-and-gold Luxury Ball shimmered with a matte finish, feeling heavy in his hand.
It increases a Pokémon's Friendship when used to catch them and could probably fetch a good price…
Natsume's expression turned strange.
"Did you… really steal this from James?!"

Natsume was momentarily stunned.
So your System is like the Emiya family's, capable of projection magic too?
But this Luxury Ball is indeed quite exquisite. Natsume fiddled with it for a while before tossing it back into the System Inventory.
The matter was settled.
Cynthia mounted her Garchomp, smiling. "It was a wonderful trip, Natsume-sensei."
"As long as you're happy."
"By the way… since you're interested in Sinnoh Mythology, would you like to attend the academic report in Canalave City next month?" Cynthia blinked.
Natsume was momentarily taken aback.
I was just bluffing—I can't even understand academic reports.
But then again, Natsume stroked his chin.
As long as I don't speak, no one will know I'm clueless!
Natsume coughed lightly. "I'll definitely be there."
Cynthia nodded with a smile and called out, "Let's go, Glaceon!"
Glaceon glanced reluctantly at Sylveon, then, while the little one wasn't looking, sneakily licked its neck.
Glaceon licked its paws contentedly before turning into a red beam and returning to its Poké Ball.
"Sylveon! (#｀皿??)" Sylveon's face turned red with anger.
Steven mounted his silver Metagross, which hovered in the air, jets of air shooting from its arms.
"See you next time, Natsume-sensei," Steven said with a smile.
The young couple also prepared to leave but were suddenly stopped by Natsume.
"Uh… could you have Tropius take me back down?"
Natsume coughed awkwardly.
"I haven't caught a Flying Pokémon yet!"
The two nodded in understanding.
As expected of Natsume-sensei—his rides are Dragon-type Pokémon at the very least!
