Linnea POV
I woke up when Hunter was not in the room, I looked at the clock and saw it was already eight in the evening, it looks like I slept longer because I was probably tired. I could feel the pain all over my body and the pain in my middle thigh.
I can’t help but think of Hunter I admit that he is handsome and his sex appeal is strong, if you look at him he is serious type but it added to his charisma. He is an angel in disguise, if you look at him he looks kind but the truth is he is a devil.
I also don’t understand myself, I should be angry with him for what he did to me, but I feel like I don’t feel anything right now.
I was in the middle of thinking when the door opened and it spat out a maid carrying a tray full of food. "Good that you are awake now Ms. Linnea, Sir Hunter sent this food as you can eat now and this is the clothes you can wear temporarily," the woman smiled at me.
She put down the tray and I took the clothes and stood up to go to the bathroom. After I change I I went out immediately to eat because I was also hungry. "Did you work here for a long time?" I ask.
"It's been a long time," she replied to me.
"Why did you choose to work here? Hunter has bad behavior," I said.
She laughed a little. "Sir is kind, a good boss and he is giving a high salary. Also everything here is free. He treated us like a family."
I nodded and continued eating because I had nothing to say to her. I don’t know if it’s true that Hunter is kind because if I were to be asked it looks like he has no kindness in his body.
When I finished eating, I put the tray down on the small table and the maid took it. When she was about to go out I stopped her. "W-wait, where's Hunter? I asked.
"He's in the office, don't plan to escape because I'm the one telling you you can't do that,"
"I'm not going to run away, I just asked where he was."
The maid finally left and I went back to bed. I forced myself to go back to sleep but I couldn’t because Hunter’s face was entering my mind, so I just decided to go to him.
I went out of the room and looked for his office because I forgot to ask the maid earlier, I didn't want to disturb them anymore.
"Where are you going Ms. Linnea?" I jumped in shock when suddenly someone spoke behind me.
"Shit! You scared me!" I scolded him and the man apologized.
"Do you know where Thunder's office is? I'm going to see him," I added.
"His office is at the end," he pointed to the front door.
"Thank you so much," I said and walked away.
When I was in front of the door I slowly opened it and saw Hunter, I walked closer to him and noticed that he was sleeping.
"You really look like an angel when you are sleeping but when you are awake you are like a tiger that suddenly crawls," I thought to myself.
I just turned around to go back to the room when I heard his voice. "What are you doing here?” He has a sexy voice. Shit!
"Ahm, nothing I just visited you here in your office but you are sleeping that’s why I already plan to go back to your room.." I answered him.
"Did you eat already?" He asked.
"I'm done eating, one of your maids brought the food in the room," I answered.
He nodded. "Go back to your room and rest. You can go home tomorrow," he said.
I followed him and left his office. If only we had gotten to know each other better, maybe I would like him but he is blackmailing me and I can't do anything about it.
When I got back to the room, my phone suddenly rang. I looked for my bag. I saw it in a chair where Hunter had been sitting earlier so I quickly picked it up and searched for my phone that was still ringing.
"Hello," I said weakly as I answered it.
"Hey girl where are you? Why didn't you come to work? Do you know I'm worried about you because you are not answering my call."
This woman's mouth has no brakes at all, how can I go to work if Hunter locked me up and most of all how can I answer her call if I didn't hear it because of what that jerk is doing to me.
I took a deep breath first. "I just went somewhere important," I replied shortly, not wanting to tell her what happened and about Hunter because I was sure she would just ask more questions and I wouldn't be able to answer her.
"How important is it to you that you don't even answer my calls? Maybe you did something silly!” She accused me. Sometimes I really just want to tweak this woman, I really don't know why she became my best friend.
"Whatever! I just didn’t go to work for a day, you'd think it's been a month. Psh!" I promise.
"Bitch! It's a miracle that you didn't work and I know how you love your work that’s why I’m asking."
"You're right. I'll hang up now. I wanna go to sleep already. I'll just see you tomorrow." I said and dropped the call.
I put the phone back in the bag and lay down. I'm still thinking about what will happen to me starting tomorrow and in the next few days even though Hunter is messing with my life. Even if I want to run away I can't because I know he can find me so I don't want to exhaust myself.
