Ye Jun hadn’t expected Song Liangxue to actually come here. After all, she was the princess of the Song Clan, so why would she concern herself with matters of a small city like Bright Star City?

As they separated, she gestured behind her and said, "I’ve come prepared this time."
Seeing his confusion, Song Liangxue tilted her head slightly. "I see you haven’t been informed. I came to exchange the blood."
Ye Jun finally understood her purpose and smiled. Exchanging blood here meant formalizing their engagement, which honestly came as a surprise to him since he thought she would wait for a while.

He gestured to his sides, where everyone was standing silently. All of them were shocked to see the display before them, even though they were aware of the engagement agreement.
Most of them had treated it as a joke, something that would get annulled sooner or later. After all, the two belonged to completely different worlds.
One was the strongest prodigy of the North, while the other was the worst Martial Artist. They didn’t suit each other at all, and the only thing keeping them related was an agreement made by their grandfathers.
They were sure Song Liangxue would cancel the engagement, which was why they never took the Ye Clan too seriously while the said clan worked hard to secure the connection.
All of them were in disbelief seeing how close they were, especially after hearing that Song Liangxue had actually come for the engagement here.

Ye Chen ground his teeth, as he almost jumped out to strangle Ye Jun to death. His hands itched to kill him. His thoughts spiraled into a single question.
’Why him? Why him of all people? He’s trash, a waste, a pathetic dog of my clan! He stole my position! Why is he getting everything? Why would she choose him instead of me?’
He couldn’t understand why the world was so unfair to him. Why did it give everything to Ye Jun despite him not deserving it?
He was about to move when a strong hand held him back. Looking over, he noticed Ye Heng standing beside him as he shook his head.
Ye Chen clicked his tongue in frustration, but then he remembered their wager and a cruel smile appeared on his face. ’Nothing to worry about. He won’t be alive after today, so everything will be mine. Even Song Liangxue.’
His hostile gaze was easily noticed by Ye Jun and Song Liangxue, but they didn’t pay him any attention. According to them, if you have a handsome or beautiful face beside you, would you bother looking at an ugly toad?
"You’ve made a new friend?" Song Liangxue asked, giving a glance at Meihui, who swiftly came to stand beside Ye Jun.
For some reason, Meihui’s face was devoid of a smile as she stared at Song Liangxue with complex emotions flashing in her eyes. She quickly covered her face with the fan and said, "Pleased to meet you. I’m Rong Hua."
Even though she clearly appeared to be a young man, her voice held a soft touch.
Song Liangxue paused for a moment, staring back at her, then smiled. "My husband really gathers all anomalies. Pleased to meet you too, Young Master Rong. I’m sure we’ll meet often from now on."
"He does. I didn’t think his fiancée would have such an incredible...figure," Meihui smiled softly and said. "But I guess the heavens really want this."
"Perhaps." Song Liangxue smiled. "Thanks for helping him all this while. I’m grateful."
Watching their exchange, Ye Jun raised an eyebrow as he quickly concluded, ’Liangxue saw through her disguise, but how? Also, Meihui knows some secret about her? What is even happening at this point?’
Just then, the three envoys finally decided to come forward, as they had been hesitating until now. They greeted Song Liangxue respectfully and asked her to join them.
"Go on," Ye Jun whispered to her. "Thanks for this. I’m happy to see you here, but I need to do the rest myself."
"If you win this, I’ll give you a reward," Song Liangxue straightened his robes and said.
"Even more reason for me to win then," Ye Jun winked at her. "I’ll be waiting for the reward."
"Don’t think about those things. I’ve already told you, I can’t do it," Song Liangxue patted his chest. "I have something else. Also..."
She leaned forward and whispered, "She’s beautiful. You certainly have good taste when it comes to women."
They heard a crunch beside them and turned, only to find Meihui quickly covering her face again as she looked away.
"A shy one. You love variety," Song Liangxue chuckled and left their group along with her guards. "Good luck."
With her gone, some attention shifted away from him, but many still gave him glances while thinking about how they needed to behave around him since Song Liangxue favored him.
Ye Jun turned toward Meihui, who had grown silent, and asked, "What did you discover about her?"
"None of your concern," Meihui replied in a cold voice.
"Why are you suddenly mad?" Ye Jun asked. "Don’t take her words too seriously. She just has a habit of speaking her mind."
"You know so much about her despite meeting only once," Meihui said.
"She’s a quite straightforward and simple person, so it isn’t hard to read her," Ye Jun replied.
Meihui hummed and said, "But people like that are often the hardest to truly understand."
Ye Jun didn’t say anything in return.
Soon, Song Liangxue took the center seat while the other six tried to strike up a conversation with her. They failed, since Song Liangxue was a woman of few words with them, and whatever she said quickly shut their mouths.
After around five minutes, the Envoy of the Iron Frost Sect came forward to start the Martial Exchange.
