As I cross the city for another day of hunting, I think about a few things that are hammering in my mind. Emilia doesn't want me to give her anything. When did I try so hard to please a woman? I'm starting to think that instead of punishing Emílio for his crimes, I'm punishing myself for getting involved with this complicated girl.
Okay, I made her mine in body, she slept with me. But what's the point if she loves another man? Fuck, and that upsets me a lot more than I'd like. No woman has had this effect on me, to the point where I feel betrayed and bitter. But the truth is, no woman has ever rejected me, never rejected everything I have to offer.
I'm starting to believe that the saying, "The spell turned on the sorcerer" is happening to me. Maybe it's better to drop it and forget about it. What man would accept being the second option in a woman's life?
So after killing a bastard who killed an innocent person , I've already fed on my addiction, watching him beg and ask for forgiveness on his deathbed. I decide to go to a nightclub, there are many women there at my disposal and I'm sure they won't reject anything I offer.
The next morning I wake up in a hotel room with my head pounding with pain, I haven't had a drinking problem in a long time and I never drink because of problems. Hell! I'm not a teenager anymore, I curse myself for my stupid lack of control.
This is all her fault, that bella, delicious and sweet. If she thinks she's going to escape me, she won't, not anytime soon. I'll still make her crazy about me, just like I promised from the beginning. I get ready and leave the hotel after paying, now I finally look like a human being, without traces of blood, without the smell of alcohol on my body. Just an apparent businessman.
I stop at a cafe near the city and decide to call her, now it's noon and I already want to get her ready for tonight.
"Hi..." Her soft voice is shy and shaky. I can feel from here that your body shudders when you know who the call is about.
"I want to take you somewhere tonight." I speak only.
"Tonight I can't..."
"Why?" I inquire.
"I'm going out, I made an appointment yesterday."
"Cancel. I want to go out with you tonight." With great difficulty, I control my temper.
"I can't." She speaks tensely.
"Who are you going out with? What gender is this person?" I question with the fury exuding in my voice.
"Do I really have to answer this?"
"Just answered."
"It's some friends, okay?" Explain.
"Then it won't do any harm if I join you. Tell me the place and time." I ask with the intention of provoking.
"No way! I can't be there for you twenty-four hours a day. I still have a life." She complains.
"I hope so, you have to be available for me whenever I want." Grunt.
"We can start with that tomorrow then... Not today..." She insists.
Today I am no longer in a good mood. What the fuck does this girl think she's doing? If she really knew me, if she saw what I'm capable of, she wouldn't refuse me like that!
I immediately call Franco and tell him to follow Emilia for me from a distance. I need to know where she is and with whom. She was still a virgin when she came to me, so that means the person she claims to love hasn't been able to have her purity. I know I shouldn't worry, she's pretty sensitive because of me and wouldn't be able to allow anyone to touch her, I would know anyway. A single hair that falls from your head, I'll know.
Even though I'm furious with her, I still want her. Ever since I met her, I've slept dreaming of being inside her and I wake up hard as a rock. I've always been a man who likes adventures, challenges, and the more Emília refuses to follow my rules, the more interesting she becomes to me, the greater my desire to see her crying out for me.
But I also hope, by the time I get tired of her little game and the raging desire I feel, to be over.

"So, how are you? You've been so distant from the crowd lately..." Rocco says as he sits down next to me at the table at the karaoke bar we came to today.
"I'm taking... I'm having some problems at home." I say trying not to sound so melancholic.
"Me too, leaving the house all day has been the only way to deal with Jessica and our parents being at war." He speaks.
"And why so much fighting?" I inquire, frowning.
"She found out a few things about them, but she didn't want to tell me even if I paid, I decided to avoid it, I imagine it's a spoiled girl thing. Besides, I broke up with Susana, her parents convinced her to go study abroad." He tells me and I ignore Susana's part and I'm just trying to imagine what Jessica found out about her parents.
Is there any chance her parents were involved in my parents' dirty schemes and that's how she found out and put me in that damn house as a joke?
"I arrived!" Malvina sits next to us with a huge smile on her face.
"I miss you!" I exclaim and stand up to hug her.
"Hey Malvina." Rocco speaks.
"Anyone hear from Roman?" she asks.
"He said he would come today." Rocco answers. "I'll get us something." He speaks and gets up.
"Did you find out anything about him?" I ask Malvina.
Last night, after leaving Joe's house, I called Malvina and felt the need to vent to someone, I told her about my affair with Joe, I didn't say why or about his extracurricular activities -being a murderer- but I know that my best friend is trustworthy, she promised to keep me a secret and even help me find out more about the mysterious Joseph. We all have a friend who looks like the FBI.
"Look, my friend, all there is information about your boyfriend is that he is a great businessman and that he lives in Australia, that he is one of the sexiest men today and is very coveted by women. There are also articles about him being a big rogue who uses women like toys, and... What a man huh, Milliet." She sighs.
"But, he doesn't live in Australia and he's not my boyfriend!" I talk. "We only hang out from time to time..." Completed.
"It doesn't matter, and there's also one other thing. Yesterday he was seen in a nightclub surrounded by women. I found this in an internet column that chases the most desirable men of today, they only spot them in trendy places." I feel a wave of deep irritation but I hold it back.
"Thanks Malvina... I'll fix this." Embarrassed by all she knows about the man I'm involved with, I remain silent.
"Hey Milliet, you guys have nothing in common, how did you meet this guy? I'm worried about it right now. I don't want to see you suffer."
"No need to worry, yesterday you seemed to approve."
"But of course, I didn't know all that. What if he's just using you?"
"Why are we talking about him anyway? I really wanted to get out for a while to forget about everything out that door." I drop the subject quickly.
She starts talking about various topics and my mouth responds and smiles automatically, meanwhile I can't help but think about Joe with various women. The way we ended last night, it was very likely that he was looking for other women, the kind who would melt over a bundle of money as a 'gift'. And what did I do about it? I just locked myself in the bathroom and cried like an idiot and said a lot of mean things to him.
Why did this news hurt me so much? Joe never promised me loyalty, he always made it clear that I would be his, he never just me. But the urge to confront Joe about it is too strong and it's going to happen sooner or later, he's going to have to tell me.
After a while, Rocco returned and joined us over light drinks, for me the night was over, along with the torture of thinking about Joe, was knowing that I couldn't stop him from having such an effect on me, the image of him surrounded by beautiful, full-bodied women, while I barely weigh, and doing... What he did to me, makes me so hateful, I could slam this glass against the wall several times.
"Come on, let's sing and dance." Malvina calls smiling and pulls my hand. I look at Rocco and call him with my eyes.
"Roman just arrived. Come Roman!" Rocco calls and I don't have the head to deal with Roman right now.
I know the last time we saw each other he stole a kiss from me and after that we never spoke again. There's also Joe who I don't know how, knows everything I do, if he knows Roman is here, the situation won't be pretty, so if he's going to keep hitting on me like he always does, I'd rather walk away and sing like crazy with Malvina.
In the next few minutes I was finally able to forget a little bit. We started singing out of tune and smiling, at some point I had already drunk a little too much, I wonder when I started drinking like that. But anyway, just know that my friends helped me a little today.
