I heard a frustrated groan, oh my God! How could I forget that the Orchid Foundation is hers??! That’s why I was able to get in there so easily, and everyone seemed so friendly and nice to me because I was the wife of their boss boss. Silence stretched between us, I finished my soup then took a sip of my water until there was a little left. I got up from where I took my bowl and glass and then left Sean to go to the library near the gym, I sat on the sofa folding my knees and put my arms on the arm of the sofa.
Can I be mad about this?? He complied with my request by allowing me to work, but at his place?? I rolled my eyes and my senses snorted. Impossible not to be out of his reach My Inner Goddess gave me a ‘she-want-you-safe’ look and I immediately let out a heavy breath, Sean came and sat beside me.
“I can’t leave you out of my sight, I’m doing my best to keep you safe Ariana, you forgot who I am and who you are right now.”
That statement woke me up from something, he is one of the richest businessmen in Dubai and in the world and I am currently his wife, the accident reminded me of the dangers that could happen without us being able to predict, I forgot about it and I felt very selfish neglecting my safety and him too, but I also don’t like it when he’s overreacting. Is this too much?? Fired the whole school because of me?? My common sense frowns looking disapproving, it is very clearly called an arbitrary abuse of office.
“Ariana, if something happened to you I would feel very guilty, your car attack and accident was not without reason.”

“I’ll try not to worry you,” I said earnestly, I saw relief in his golden nets then he took his hand and lay on my lap, I stroked his hair and played with my fingers his eyes closed enjoying my touch on his head which turned to wringing and slightly pulled her hair gently, massaging it in slow motions.
“Sunday is Caroline’s wedding, you haven’t forgotten, have you?!”
“Of course not, Rani and mom repeatedly remind me via what’s up messages, I don’t know what’s wrong with women and celebrations, they are like deptcollectors when they are preparing for a celebration.”
I laughed lightly at that, Caroline yelling into the phone as she reminded me of her wedding.
“They kept reminding me of the celebration, raving so much about this and that I got dizzy to hear it.”
“They’re just having a lot of fun and I think that’s only natural, if you have kids and you’re going to marry them off you’ll definitely feel that way.”
Silence for a moment, I don’t know what possessed me to mention this hidden problem. I looked at Sean who closed his eyes enjoying my massage on his head and I was compelled to discuss this matter. Again.
“Do you want children?” I asked, a moment of silence as disappointment began to overwhelm me.
“For now I’m not ready,” his words gave me a little relief at least he was willing to answer, we’re back on this issue again, I thought he would change his mind after I purposely never brought this up.
“Don’t you think that this might be just what we need??”
Sean opened his eyes and looked at me with a look I didn’t understand.
“I’m not ready to share you with anyone else.”
Unlucky! What kind of answer is that?? This is our child not someone else’s.
“Sean, he’s our child not someone else and that’s different.”
I’m trying to change his mind, I know it’s too early but we need to talk about this seriously with an open mind.
“I’m not ready yet, Ariana, you see how I’m doing, I’m a mess and I still need you without that fussy creature.
I closed my eyes in disappointment, these are just children not monsters. I decided not to discuss it further, I’ll talk about this when the time is right, but I don’t know when that time will come, My Inner Goddess shrugged her shoulders a sign that she also doesn’t know when the right time will come, Sean closed his eyes again I know he’s thinking something his forehead showed a faint frown a few times at least I gave him something to think about.
“We should sleep in the room.”
Sean opened his eyes which looked red and he got up then I followed him away, I wrapped my arms around his waist then his arms wrapped around me. As we lay on the bed, I took my favorite position lying on his chest.
“You know, the nightmares I used to have don’t come back when you sleep with me.”
My heart was beating uncomfortably.
“When you were in Germany did you experience it?”
He nodded and my heart sank, I brought my face to his neck then kissed him.
“I dreamed you died in this room and I couldn’t save you.”
I shivered with fear as my blood cooled in my veins, his arms tightening around me.
“I’m here with you,” I said which unfortunately sounded frightened not the opposite as I expected.
“Yes, you are here with me and safe.”
He kissed the top of my head, buried his nose in my hair and inhaled the scent greedily as if it were a necessity for him.
“Go to sleep, I know you’re busy tomorrow.”
I closed my eyes and chased away the dark images from Sean’s dream image and the image of the man he was in when he was abused in the orphanage and when he was hooked, no, I wanted him to get out of all the mess that had happened to him, I wanted him to feel that he deserved the life he deserved. Better and worthy of love.
