“Carrie... I was on the road with Sean... of course I didn’t forget... until tomorrow.”
How could I forget the engagement day?? I smiled looking at my phone.
“Carolina?!” Sean guessed, I nodded.
“Tomorrow is the engagement ceremony.” I reminded him, resting my head on his chest, my favorite place in the whole world.
“I told my mom, Rani and dad, they’re coming tomorrow.”
I smiled, Sean stroked my hair it felt very comfortable.
“Who’s Benjamin?”
My heart is pounding, he has a good memory, I don’t think he will discuss the man.
“He was my co-worker when I was a singer,” I replied.
“What is he doing?”
Not Sean if he doesn’t dig up as much detailed information as possible like Caroline.
“Dancer, he’s my choreography coach.”
We were silent for a while, I waited anxiously.
“How close are you to him?”
This is the essence of this thrilling interrogation, his tone is low and threatening.
“Close enough, he’s a nice guy.”
My Inner Goddess pursed her lower lip and looked at me disapprovingly of my defense of Benjamin’s figure.
“He’s good because he wants you.”
He wrapped his arms around me, would he always assume all men want me?? That’s overkill.
“That’s an exaggeration, Sean, he’s just a good friend.”
Dealing with a possessive master is an emotionally draining job.
“He likes you, Ariana, he wants my place in your life, I can see that when he looks at you.”
I rolled my eyes in annoyance, my Inner Goddess glared at me she agreed with Sean’s thoughts.
“I don’t think so.”
Sean chuckled, I knew this would be long.
“If he dares to touch you again, don’t blame me if he gets hurt.”
My heart fell at my feet, I looked up at him.
“You’re not serious, are you?!”
He shrugged nonchalantly, but his expression hardened. Does it have to be that serious??
“I already told you that I don’t like it when other people touch mine.” Then her expression turns sullen, she’s adorable when she pouts, I smile.
“You’re a bossy and hot-tempered Possessive Master.” Now it was my turn to frown, Sean looked at me and all the tension slowly disappeared from his face.
“But your first favorite.” He looked at me with a smile and his mischievous look, for the sake of all the handsome men on this earth, Sean seemed to take all the good looks.
“What do you want to do today?” I wonder, my work will start on Monday.
“I’ve got to check out some work I haven’t had a chance to see yet, do you have a plan?”
I thought about lying with him in front of the television watching a movie with me and having a snack, then we made love where we wanted in the apartment. My Inner Goddess flashed a smile advertising toothpaste.
“Just a plan like most people, do you always work all the time?”
This bothers me a little, he has reached the very top of his career, so why is he still working so hard?? Is he a workaholic??
“Yes, I’m comfortable doing it.”
My very curious self took over, what was his life like before he met me??
“Aren’t you bored?”
Sean shrugged his shoulders with a half unconcerned expression.
“Only a few times.”
“Have you ever brought the woman you’re dating into your apartment?”
My Inner Goddess jumped off her red sofa and rubbed her bottom with a pained expression, then she glared at me for hitting her with that question.
“Never but one person,” he answered in a half whisper I cursed my own stupidity, without even mentioning him I knew who it was.
“How many women?” My voice sounded very sad and almost disappeared, this question was like a shard of glass scratching me, My Inner Goddess slammed her television remote on her red sofa hard then gave me a hostile look, my senses sat restlessly on her soft chair while twisting her fingers
“Ana, this is completely unimportant.” Sean started to get emotional, his voice sounded snappy.
“I want to know,” I whispered.
“This curiosity of yours is very unimportant.”
I bit my lip on the inside of my heart puckered up, damn it! He is angry.
“Just answer.” I marveled at myself for still wanting to continue this uncomfortable interrogation.
We arrived at the apartment without anyone speaking, I moved my body away from Sean and immediately went downstairs when Sam opened the door for me first, Sean opened the door for himself. I know he’s angry and it’s my fault, I see my Inner Goddess is also doing the same thing as Sean’s current attitude. I just put my small bag in the room and then went out to the living room where there was a flat screen television, I dropped my butt on the soft sofa. Sean was shutting himself in his study, turning on the television and switching the broadcast to Netflix, my mind busy thinking of ways to persuade Sean. My mind was stuck, and I didn’t watch any movies that Netflix was showing, not long after Sean came out of his workspace he didn’t look at me as he crossed the couch, damn it! He was really angry, my heart sank as if he was about to leave and I felt pain on one side inside of me as he left without telling me anything. It’s all your fault, Ariana! My Inner Goddess snapped at me and I felt very sorry for my insignificant curiosity. What should I do?? Grabbed my cell phone which was on the glass table in front of me, then sent it a short message apologizing I knew this wouldn’t be enough.
