Second Young Master of the Johnson Family, Jesse Johnson.
It’s said he’s a rich playboy who, because he studied film directing, got a gig as an assistant director in this film crew through connections, just to gain some experience. But he’s always been idle, just going through the motions and often skipping work.
Nora Scott saw him just once in the half month she was with the film crew.
She remembered him because—his modified sports car was way too flashy.
Damn, the hood had a popular comic character spray-painted on it, the interior stuffed with countless merchandise of this character, thinking it’s the coolest thing ever.
A total embarrassment to the comic creator.
The glaringly red sports car caught her eye, and seeing the design on the hood was so painful to look at that Nora turned away immediately.
The window slid down, and a head with yellow hair popped out, loudly shouting at Nora’s back.
Nora walked steadily, ignoring him.
Being ignored in the film crew didn’t sit well with the proud Young Master Johnson, who clicked his tongue, tongue pressing against his palate, and raised his voice to shout again, "Hey, the bloated dumpling in front! I’m talking to you!"
Nora remained oblivious, strolling leisurely ahead.
"Shit! What the hell is this?!"
Being ignored repeatedly, Jesse Johnson got angry, reached up to grab the yellow hair, pulled open the car door, and got out.
Walking with an unconcerned stride, he headed straight to Nora, reaching out to grab her arm.
Nora reacted quickly, sidestepping to avoid him.
Missing his grab, Jesse was fuming, but paused when he saw Nora’s face, his anger dissipating significantly.
"Hey, I called you! Deaf, can’t hear?!"
Jesse yelled, his tone agitated.
Nora frowned slightly, glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, and said coldly, "Don’t understand dog barks."
Jesse understood the insult, and his temper flared up, but after scrutinizing Nora’s appearance, he suddenly chuckled.
"You’re doing it on purpose, aren’t you..."
He lowered his head slightly, squinting, with an extremely cocky, self-assured, and punch-worthy demeanor, using an overly flashy and affected tone, "To get my attention?"
Nora was amazed by this playboy’s mindset, actually looking at him directly, "You, ?"
His eyes lingered on her cheap army coat; Jesse lifted his chin, smiling confidently and flamboyantly, tone carrying a hint of disdain, "I, , certainly better than you, like that, huh?"
In fact, there were quite a few people around, but witnessing this unexpected turn of events, and the awkward, tense atmosphere filled with a whiff of gunpowder, they were at a loss and unknowingly swallowed hard.
What’s going on here.
Was Nora truly trying to attract Young Master Johnson’s attention in a different way, or was it that Young Master Johnson deluded himself into sticking his neck out only to get punched?

Lily Turner’s sudden voice timely interrupted Nora’s thoughts.

"Not really," seeing her smile, Jesse’s mind wandered, all the anger and dissatisfaction vanished without a trace, and he was in a great mood, "I just think you can find a better assistant."
"If she did upset you, then I apologize to you."
Lily chuckled, gave Nora a glance, and jokingly said, "But as for her, I still need you to keep her for me."
The two of them were going back and forth like they could decide her fate with ease.
Nora Scott couldn’t be bothered with them and turned to leave.
Watching Nora’s back, Jesse Johnson snorted: Lucky you! To have such a good boss as Lily!
Jesse Johnson hovered around Lily Turner. Naturally, he wasn’t willing to let her eat the crew’s box lunch, so he had someone drive to specially buy hot meals.
Despite his unruly, flamboyant, boastful, and somewhat childish nature, being free-spirited in work, Jesse was still a college senior, so his youthful vigor was understandable.
Plus, he had good looks, standing out in the entertainment circle, no worse than many popular actors. Being born into a wealthy family, he was well-liked in the crew. Even if he was sometimes annoying, just a smile from him could boost his likability.
Now seeing him treat Lily so well, everyone around couldn’t help but envy.
Although Lily was two or three years older than him, age wasn’t a barrier; if they were together, they’d surely make a golden couple.
"Nora, this is for you."
Sitting under a tree eating box lunch, Nora was startled to see a cup of milk tea handed over.
She looked up to find a young woman in her early twenties, with chubby cheeks and crescent-shaped eyes when she smiled, looking quite cute.
Her name was Eleanor Taylor, one of the extras in the crew.
Previously, she got a little hurt while acting, so Nora helped treat her. Since then, Eleanor often brought Nora milk tea, cookies, and snacks.

Next moment, the snowball fell into Jesse’s hand; he took a step forward, swung his arm upward, and the snowball flew out of his grasp, following his motion into the air.

Having anticipated his move, Nora’s face turned cold, her brows and eyes coated with frost.
The snowball grazed past the tree branches, which were bare and covered with thick snow from last night, and with the snowball’s shock, large chunks of snow began to fall.
It covered both of them, and some even landed in the lunch boxes.
Eleanor wanted to curse but dared not.
She saw Nora stand up.
Nora took the snow-covered lunch box, her usually cold eyes filled with even greater chill, walking expressionlessly towards Jesse Johnson.
His prank was meant to be light-hearted, not expecting so much snow to fall. Jesse felt somewhat guilty seeing Nora’s icy look.
