Overlord: Ancient one Chapter 125

Rory couldn't help but laugh softly at the scene she had orchestrated. "Patience, ladies. We'll talk, but first, let's all sit down, have some coffee. Aure and other two still haven't came yet." She turned to Renner with a playful smile. "Renner, can we get a round of coffee for everyone?" Renner nodded, still eyeing Rory warily. "Right away." In Nazarick, one thing that didn't change even after a millennia was it's hierarchy amongst the citizens. While Renner and Evileye were Arthur's wives, they were still lower in rank compared to others like Albedo, Aurora, and Rory herself. Of course, Arthur didn't care about these ranks—he loved all his wives equally. Well, all except Friday. Friday held a special place in Arthur's life, a bond that spanned beyond that of the others. Despite their deep relationship, none of the Guardians or Co-Guardians knew about her existence. And that was by design. It was Friday herself who insisted on remaining a secret. "Let's keep some secrets as secret," she had once told Arthur. "If, in the distant future, someone with the ability to avoid future sight emerges, then you'll still have a trump card—something no one knows about." Arthur had agreed, trusting Friday's judgment as always. Within a few minutes, Renner had placed steaming cups of coffee on the table in front of them. "Until Aura and the others arrive, let's talk about something else. Aurora, I heard that Antares destroyed a Yggdrasil world, which was perfectly healthy," Rory said, shifting the conversation to a topic that would keep everyone engaged for the time being. As the one who called this impromptu gathering, Rory felt it was her duty to keep the tension from boiling over until everyone had arrived. "I also read the report, but I was too occupied with my own work to dive deeper. That incident concerns me. We need to find out what set Antares off." Albedo said. Both Albedo and Aurora were Principal and Vice-Principal of Kouh Academy, though their roles at the school were more for appearances. Their true responsibilities lay elsewhere, dealing with far more important matters that often kept them incredibly busy. The only time they truly rested was when Arthur ordered them to, or when they were with him. Arthur had once given all his guardians and servants a strict order: work no more than six hours a day and take regular holidays. However, instead of seeing it as a blessing, they treated it like a punishment, refusing to slow down unless Arthur himself intervened. The topic Rory introduced quickly captured the attention of the female guardians gathered at the table. Even Renner and Evileye leaned in as the discussion deepened. "From what I've see," Aurora began thoughtfully, "the world Antares destroyed wasn't as healthy as it appeared. It was starting to become infected with the Excluded Ones." The Excluded Ones were beings who had reincarnated into different worlds within Yggdrasil. Sometimes their presence could drive the development of a world, accelerating progress and bringing about innovation. But other times, they became a destabilizing force, threatening not only the world they were reincarnated into but also their original world—creating a catastrophic risk of destruction. When a world fell under the influence of the Excluded Ones, it was often Antares who was sent to deal with the threat. His task was simple but brutal: assess the situation, and depending on the threat level, either save the world or, in extreme cases, obliterate it to prevent a chain reaction that could destroy multiple worlds. However, a glimmer of hope existed for those facing destruction. If the people of a world could contact Arthur through the artifacts and magic circles he had spread across Yggdrasil, he had the power to grant them a pardon, saving their world from annihilation. Aurora continued, "But the infection was only in its early stages. The world could have been saved if steps were taken. But Antares… well, he decided it wasn't worth the trouble." Esdeath, who had been listening, shook her head. "Typical of Antares. He doesn't waste time on what he deems insignificant, even if there's still hope." Evileye was still uncomfortable as even after all this time she wasn't very keen on talking about killing a billions over a cup of coffee. Albedo sighed, "And now we'll have to deal with the fallout of his decision. Ancient one will need to be informed, but I doubt he'll be surprised." "Yeah, knowing him, I think he will just ask Antares about spoiler of wars." Just then, the door opened and a tall, tomboyish looking women, dark skin and pointed ears, a signature trait of the dark elves. She has a massive pair of boobs, which was as big as Angrboda. She has golden hair and heterochromia, her left eye blue and right eye green. She wears reddish-black dragon scale leather covered by a white and gold vest embroidered with the sigil of Ainz Ooal Gown. It was none other than Aura, the floor guardian of 6th floor. Behind her was a girl, who dresses in magical girl's clothing, looking in her late teens with black hair, tied into twin tails and blue eyes. She also has a child-like body albeit with large breasts. It was Serefall. And lastly was a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous body, appearing to be in her early twenties with back-length silver hair that features a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest is let down which ends in twin braids and red eyes. She was wearing a blue and white French maid outfit with long sleeves and a white maid headband over her head with red lipstick as a cosmetic accessory.
