The very first adventure film of mockumentary style, He Bai didn’t want his Di Qiuhe to miss the opportunity to be part of that milestone, he could not care less about Di Qiuhe’s paycheck for this movie, he did not care if Di Qiuhe had to invest some money to the movie first, it was all worth it.
Seeing how serious He Bai was, Di Qiuhe frowned and he felt He Bai on his forehead, “Baby are you all right? Not having a fever?”
He Bai blinked.
“Answer me, puppy.” Di Qiuhe touched He Bai’s cheek and burst into laughter, he kissed He Bai on his eye, “Puppy, the way you looked at me just now was like you were about to eat me alive, such sparkling eyes, so cute.”
He Bai took a deep breath, he hit Di Qiuhe’s hand and threw the script in hand at him, “Childish Di, I’m dead serious about this!”
Di Qiuhe did not see this would end up like this, he thought he was just fooling around.
Seeing Di Qiuhe sulking in the living room, Xing Shaofeng kind of knew what happened, he smiled knowingly. Then he continued the topic they were discussing before, “It was no small matter that Di Chunhua got herself into, it’s all over the news in D country and back at home. Qin Li had already booked the ticket here, be prepared, chances are she will visit you soon.”
Di Qiuhe frowned, he handed Xing Shaofeng the script and the name card that Cooper had left him, “I have no plan to see her, Di Chunhua had done something horribly wrong, not only to me, but also to the two innocent girls. Qin Li should go talk to the two little girls’ family first, if she knew any better, instead of coming harassing me, the two girls and their family’s attitude towards Di Chunhua matters more when it comes to Di Chunhua’s sentencing.”
Di Chunhua was a minor herself, plus Di Qiuhe was not actually injured or hurt, she still had a chance. What was tricky here was she threatened two minor girls, she took naked photos of the two girls and used that to manipulate them, that was abominable.
Di Chunhua was such an airhead, she carried around the videos and photos of the two girls, the police officers found those solid evidence when they made a body search on her. She had always been reckless, because she was used to having her mother to wipe her ass on everything.
Hearing Di Qiuhe’s reply, Xing Shaofeng knew how determined his attitude was.
Xing Shaofeng took the script and the name card, “Are these the two new jobs you were mentioning?”
Di Qiuhe nodded, “Yup, I’m taking both, can you please contact them for further details for me? And also, I’d like to invest on the movie as well, I want your evaluation.”
“Invest?” asked Xing Shaofeng with surprise. Hmm, he did not know since when Di Qiuhe grew some interest in investment?
Seeing Xing Shaofeng’s reaction, Di Qiuhe knew what he was thinking, he put on his poker face, “Ahem, Bai loves this movie.”
Xing Shaofeng was dumbfounded for a second then he chuckled, “Ah~ I see! I will evaluate the risks, consider it done boss.” Xing Shaofeng put away the script and the name card, he left the room with a big smile on his face, ‘Ah, kids these days.’.
Di Qiuhe somehow found that bright smile a bit unpleasant, ‘Is Xing Shaofeng making fun of me?’
After saying goodbye to Xing Shaofeng, Di Qiuhe went back to the bedroom to tell He Bai the good news that he decided to take both jobs. Then he mentioned Qin Li would arrive the country soon, he suggested they’d better go back home first to avoid any drama with her plus they should make some preparations for the two exciting jobs.
Xing Shaofeng “welcomed” Qin Li when she banged the door.
“Where is Di Qiuhe?” demanded Qin Li.
“He went back home.” replied Xing Shaofeng with great composure, then he added, “Ms Qin, Mr. Di asked me to take charge here, you can talk to me.”
“Went back home? How dare he? I need his number, give me his number.” Qin Li was not happy to hear that.
“Mr. Di asked me to leave you a message if you insist on talking to him.” replied Xing Shaofeng while he produced a hankerchief from his pocket to wipe his face.
Qin Li told herself not to throw a tantrum and focus on what was important, she mustered all her patience, “What message?”
Xing Shaofeng rolled the hankerchief in his hand and threw it on the ground, “Being a minor is not gonna help her in this case, just be honest and tell the police she is not mentally stable.” with that Xing Shaofeng waved at the bodyguards who were waiting outside the door, and he slammed the door.
“Please allow me to show you the way out, Ms. Qin, otherwise my coworker is going to call the police.” the bodyguard smiled at Qin Li.
Qin Li now earthed to herself, she felt like she was that hankerchief that Xing Shaofeng had thrown on the floor. She screamed, “No way! Tell Di Qiuhe no way! I will not allow anyone call Chunhua mentally unstable!”
She banged the door with her purse, then she collected herself and staggered to the hotel gate.
In the room, the lawyers who were discussing the case with Xing Shaofeng all found this hard to understand, “Why did Qin Li over react? Claiming mentally unstable is a perfect way to be acquitted of a charge, isn’t it?”
“Because she is scared.” Xing Shaofeng replied with a meaningful smile on his face.
Di Chunhua was indeed mentally unstable, but Qin Li was too dreadful to mention this to anyone, she wished she could hide it forever. Once she confessed this to the police, they surely would have Di Chunhua examined by professional doctors, by then no way could she hide the reason why Di Chunhua was mentally unstable.
