The movie was a huge success, it was off the screen after a month. However, it made it to the Channel 6 the movie channel, more people got to watch it.
Xing Shaofeng was inundated with work invitations and offers, he turned down all of them. Excessive exposure was the last thing he wanted for Di Qiuhe and He Bai.
“Immortal Way “finished shooting in mid-June, Di Qiuhe flew off to D Country where “International Art Festival for Uni Students” was held to keep He Bai company. He Bai had an award ceremony and a three-day art exchange activities.
“Thanks to you, my model Di Qiuhe, I won the Best Internet Popularity Award, yay, more money.” He Bai was browsing the album of the best works from the committee of the Art Festival he just received, “Hmm, I guess you are more than a pretty face, all right, I will give you a fat red packet.”
Di Qiuhe smiled, he leaned closer to him to look at the album, “Yay, thank you, boss man.”
He Bai felt Di Qiuhe’s warm breath by his ear, he rubbed his ears and warned Di Qiuhe, “Behave yourself, things have changed now, don’t make the headlines now that there are so many paparazzi.”
“I wish they could find something… …” whispered Di Qiuhe. He hushed when he saw He Bai was glaring at him, sigh, then he turned around, looking outside of the window, “I understand, I guess I’m embarrassing you.”
He Bai frowned, he rolled the photo album in hand and hit Di Qiuhe on the head gently, then he put on his blindfold trying to get some sleep.
‘Childish Di! I’m doing this all for you, “Immortal Way” is about to on soon, a good TV show can make you known to every household, I can’t risk it at such a crucial timing!’
Di Qiuhe saw He Bai putting on his blindfold, and Bai was still pouting, he soon leaned close to Bai and poked him on the cheek.
The plane landed after more than ten hours’ flying, the two were about to leave the airport after they claimed their luggage, Di Qiuhe who was not wearing a mask were recognized by some girls.
“Excuse me, are you Di Qiuhe?”
The girls asked in Chinese, even though she was a new learner and the accent was a bit heavy, Di Qiuhe and He Bai both understood her just fine.
Seeing this group of fans, He Bai rubbed his nose and stopped yawning, he stepped back and smiled, pretending he was Di Qiuhe’s assistant, “Yes, ladies, he is.”
Di Qiuhe turned back and shot him a glance, feeling so betrayed. He nodded to the fans, and said yes, asking them how could he help them.
The fans were stoked, they selected a girl to hand over Di Qiuhe a notebook, they expressed how they loved his new movie and his photos, they also asked if they could have a group photo with him and get an autograph.
The “assistant” took a Polaroid from his bag and smiled at Di Qiuhe, meaning he could do the honor any time.
The fans got the autograph and a group photo, they walked the two to the taxi and said farewell to the two.
He Bai put his Polaroid in his bag raised his eyebrows, “Well, well, well, I cannot believe you have overseas fans now, it feels great, yeah?”
Di Qiuhe squinted and squeezed He Bai’s cheek, “It feels even greater that I have you as my assistant than having overseas fans now.” with it he rubbed He Bai’s nose.
He Bai decoded what he meant from his body language and his tone, he replied, “What are you talking about? I’m just an innocent little boy.”
“You ain’t no innocent little boy.” Di Qiuhe held He Bai’s hand and and said cheerfully, “We are about to find how innocent you are after we check in the hotel.”
He Bai withdrew his hand and kicked him.
The two flirted along the way, both were having a good time enjoying the exotic scenery outside the window. They thought it was nothing but a coincidence they ran into some fans, little did they knew groups of fans had gathered in this country after they got the news of Art Festival Award.
The next day, the two who had a good night’s sleep were determined to have a good sightseeing day, however, they had fans recognize them and ask for photos and autographs all the time, the two were surprised.
Whey the fifth group of fans came to them, He Bai who was tired of playing the little assistant dragged Di Qiuhe and hopped on a taxi, he said a place and asked the drive to drive.
Di Qiuhe gave He Bai a meaningful smile, “I thought we were shopping for your roommates.”
“Shopping? We could barely walk on that street.” He Bai faked a sneer, “You are enjoying me being your assistant, aren’t you?”
Di Qiuhe did not want to say anything wrong, he suppressed his smirk and squeezed He Bai’s hand in a soothing way, “Where are we going? I didn’t get the name of the place just now.”
He Bai rolled his eyes at him, he replied in a mysterious way, “Di Qiuhe, let me take you to a good place now that the awards ceremony is not on till tomorrow.”
Di Qiuhe smiled seeing the way He Bai pretended to be mysterious, he grabbed He Bai, “Puppy, you are such a cutie.”
The driver also showed a friendly smile seeing the two being all lovey-dovey.
He Bai felt shy, he pushed Di Qiuhe away and said, “Cute my ass! Let go of me.”
He Bai had visited so many beautiful places, most of which he just had a good time and left, only few places drew him back, he just keep revisiting, this place they were going was one of them.
“It’s early summer now,” He Bai took Di Qiuhe to a hill near the town, and they stopped at a cliff, “It’s not that hot yet, nice view of flowers.”
Di Qiuhe wiped his forehead which was covered with a thin layer of sweat now and listened to his puppy carefully.
“Shall we?” He Bai took Di Qiuhe walk past the cliff, “We are about to see some wonders.”
Di Qiuhe looked at him tenderly and nodded.
A grand view was hiding inside this cliff, it felt like they could touch the sky there, a sea of beautiful flowers was unfolding right in front of them, and they could see the profile of the town at the end of the flower sea.
