“Shall I postpone the reservation for tonight?” asked Wang Boyi, seeing Di Qiuhe frowned.
“Nah, it should be fine.” Di Qiuhe shook his head, then he continued, “If I’m finishing late tonight, please ask the restaurant to delivery their signature cuisines for him in case he skipped dinner if he is eating alone.”
Wang Boyi nodded in agreement, his phone rang when he was just about to turn around to get Di Qiuhe some snacks, he took a look at the screen, the caller was Di Bian who had not contacted him for a long while.
He halted his steps, and showed Di Qiuhe the phone.
Di Qiuhe shot a sideways look, his relaxing expression now turned a bit serious, and he said, “I suppose he is just prying into my personal life from you, as he can test my attitude towards him and Huangdu. No need to worry about it, you can put him through and put him on speaker.”
Wang Boyi tapped the screen and put Di Bian on speaker.

Wang Boyi shot a look at Di Qiuhe, and he replied, “No, young master trusts me lots, he has never avoided me. Today he is shooting an commercial for a watch brand, I believe it has nothing to do with Fan Da. Assistant An has been so quiet lately, she hasn’t done anything suspicious.”
“Is that so…” Di Bian responded lightly, then his tone turned harsh, “No that Di Qiuhe has never avoided you, why haven’t you informed me in advance that Fan Da has come back? Wang Boyi was startled, he looked at Di Qiuhe.
Di Qiuhe who was thumbing through a magazine now halted his motion, he thought for a few seconds and looked at the screen then he slightly waved his hand to Wang Boyi, meaning Wang Boyi could just improvise on this one. He thought it was no big deal even though Di Bian saw through them, they were not intimated by him at this point.
Wang Boyi was now a little bit relaxed on receiving Di Qiuhe’s signal, he recalled what Xing Shaofeng once taught him, then he put on a good show, “Mr. Di, you have to pardon me on this one, for I had no clue what young master’s mother’s family is until very recently, and you had not reminded me on Mr. Fan, so I admit I wasn’t fully prepared and haven’t paid much attention on Mr. Fan… but according to my observation, young master is very occupied for he is busy shooting for his new movie either in the border province or overseas, he has no time to reach anyone. This was a great lesson from Xing Shaofeng, “deny not, just divert, and always end the conversation with a topic that’s going to distract the other party.”
Silence from the other side of the phone, seemed like Di Bian was in deep thoughts. After a little while, Di Bian showed complete trust again and asked, “So what you are saying is Fan Da and Di Qiuhe haven’t met yet?”
