When her eyes fluttered open, she found herself cocooned in the comforter. The room was chilly due to the air conditioner. One glance on the glass wall told her it was evening.
She immediately sat up to absorb her surroundings and slowly the memories began to set back in her mind as she recalled everything. Her eyes cautiously moved around to spot his presence and a sigh of thankfulness left her lips when she confirmed, he wasn't here.
Nevertheless, she got off the bed and began to roam around the room not before providing her parched throat with some water. Half an hour passed yet still he didn't show any signs of coming back.
She wondered how long had it been since he was gone.
The room felt claustrophobic to her at this stage that she decided to step out and breathe in some fresh air but him coming to know of it stopped her in her tracks. She dozed the thought off roaming about in the hotel and just sat down on the couch again.
Some more time elapsed and she couldn't contain herself now within the four walls of this luxurious box so she just got up and went straight to the door, shutting every fearful and negative thoughts in the back of her mind.
As soon as she had opened the door, she was met with three, tall, bulky guards, covered in black uniforms.
"Ma'am you are not allowed to go out until boss returns," one of them spoke, "please go inside,"
"But he... permitted me," she lied.
"Sorry ma'am, we can't. Sir passed us strict orders,"
She frowned. Why were they not listening to her?
"Please let me go out," her tone got a hard edge. It was becoming suffocating for her.
"Please go inside," he insisted.
"I will not," she folded her hands against her chest, and stood there stubborn.
Daro tw daro ab body guards sei b daro? She thought, scornfully.
"Please ma'am cooperate," he almost beseeched.
"No!" she turned her head away, "I won't! And as I said, I've been given permission then why are you stopping me?" She turned her face away and the three helpless men exchanged glances, "look, I'll be back before he comes,"
They weren't even looking at her as their boss had particularly instructed not to look at his woman or he would have their eyes followed by their balls.
"Let me go or I'll run," she proposed, when they didn't pay any heed to her.
Her life was getting controlled. Alot too much than her liking.
"Who will run and where?" A striking voice came from the opposite direction making all four of them to snap their head towards him as he walked with his powerful entourage, exuding dominance with every step he took.
The three men bowed their head further down while the little woman who stood in the middle of those three men was the center of his attention.
"Sir ma'am wanted to go out," one of the guards informed and Sheharzaad's head snapped towards him with accusatory glances.
She was already in trouble.
"Sheharzaad, go inside," His swift command came making her feet to move and enter the room. Her heart beating wildly in her ears.
What she has gotten herself into?
A few moments later, Shehryaar too entered making her take multiple steps back from him.
Her heart danced in her chest when she heard the 'click' sound of the door, indicating he had closed it or locked it?!
She bowed her head down and not for once did she look up rather began to take steps back as he was approaching her like a predator.
The similar atmosphere reminded her of that night when he took the charge over her body, over her soul...
She couldn't understand when did she turn into a scared soul?
Was that one night enough for her to change all the abilities in which she took pride in?
Headstrong female alpha, hot headed, not to mess with and what not.
And now she stood here with nothing but shaky legs and a trembling heart yet the confonter didn't even start talking and she was already busy finding her fault.
"I was-was not g-going out," she tried to explain. She could feel his dark aura.
"You were not suppose to step out of this room without my permission," his voice came as his finger underneath her chin, forced her to look up at him, "my little lady,"
"I understood now. I'm sorry," She wanted to go far away from him at the moment.
He could see the actual error in her.
His kitten loves to diffuse his warnings in air.
"Sit. I want to talk to you,"
She immediately sat, thinking he was going to announce the punishment of her offense now. The thought alone made her face pale.
"Give me your hand," he brought forward his hand and she glanced at it before making up the way to his face and then back at his hand.
Rubbing her tongue against her bottom lips, she contemplated and whispered, "no,"
Impulsive much? Yes, she was. Very much.
"No?" he shook his head, raising his brow.
"I don't want you to touch me, please! Y-you don't have any right to touch me!" The words that had been at the tip of her tongue all the while made their way to her tongue before running on her lips, "you've suffocated me in this room. With which right? Who you are to me? Who?" She so wanted to ask these questions running in her mind and she thought it was the right time to do so.
Until when she would be cowering away from him?
The next second, she heard him laugh.
Going on his knees, he squatted down infront her as now his eyes leveled with hers.
"You like to rub that on my face, don't you?" he asked, "who am I to you? etc etc," he shook his head
"I'm just... just telling," she now mumbled as he was close to her.
"Oh Sheharzaad," His eyes bored in hers, penetrating through her soul digging a hole there that had her paralyzed instantly, "this is what you've failed to understand, I've every right on you, to possess you, your each inch, from head to toe belongs to me," he pointed his finger at his chest, stressing at his words, "Me, Shehryaar Haider Syed," Tremors left her body, "And I swear on my life, as fucked up I am, I will fuck your life too that now you ever dare to run these words on your tongue," he rose her hand and placed a kiss on the ring that was now encaging her ring finger. Captivated by his eyes and tremulous by his words, she couldn't notice when the ring had been slid against her fingers, "From now on," he completed.
As soon as he was done, he stood up and she felt her legs shaking badly though she was sitting. Her eyes had turned glassy and fretful tremors shook her petite frame.
"Dare to take a step above that door without my acknowledgement," his finger pointed towards the wooden door, "and see what I do as now," a smile formed on his lips, "you officially belong to me," he announced with pride dancing in his eyes.
"Now give me your hand," His callous hand came in her visage and the next second, her mind began to think of her next step. She decided to defy by again shaking her head in a negative as to imply him that she didn't accept his decision. She was about to move her head in a no yet she couldn't. Her limb were locked and what felt safe to her instincts, she did just that.
Her shivering hand moved on its own accord and was perfectly fitted in his. Her mind couldn't muster up the courage to deny him.
She stood up, holding his hand whilst her eyes were focused on the ring and his eyes on her face.
Her mind was too stunned to pull out a response. As if every cell of her brain had stopped doing its job..
"Congratulations, you are engaged," he said.
Her body visibly squirmed under his piercing gaze. Tons of weight had been put on her tongues that un-abled her to move the organ and say anything.
Even minor task like speaking became difficult for her infront him.
Yet her eyes didn't fail to show her shock and fear.
Suddenly, the skin around her waist tingled telling her, he had his hand against the small of her back.
A jolt by his hand brought her closer to him and she looked down to his chest. Her cheek perceiving the sense of his hot breath.
"Finally and truly, my woman," His whisper uttered near her ear followed by him biting her ear shell, "my future wife,"
The word caught her attention.
Wife...
Her heart stopped. The bucket of cold water was thrown at her, jolting her senses back.
Future wife...
Her breathing stopped as the realization seeped through her bones.

Her eyes moved spiralled up at him and next she lost his footing only to fell down in his arms.
