Leo remained still, his gaze fixed on the landscape. To his right, rolling hills and primal-looking forests blended seamlessly into the horizon. Ahead, a massive lake stretched endlessly, its farthest edge hidden from view.
As he took it all in, Leo couldn’t help but think, ’In a few weeks, I’ll probably have to face the Demon Queen. I can’t wait to meet her.’
Following that, silence took over the carriage as Amara closed her eyes. Leo looked at the beautiful general before turning back to the outside world. The empire soldiers were riding horse-like monsters.
Hours later, the older woman stirred awake, her tired smile softening as the sunset. ’’Let’s set up camp,’’ she said, stretching slightly. ’’I’ll send out some scouts to explore the area.’’
’’Don’t bother, I will explore it. Let them rest Amara,’’ Leo said before stepping out of the carriage.
When the cold air brushed up against him, his blonde hair flew all over the place. He took to the sky and started searching for monsters that roamed the wilderness and, whenever he found any, he would destroy them.
Leo flew across the landscape and noticed a swarm of crocodile creatures rushing toward the camp. He swooped down before slamming into the biggest monster before blowing it apart with California Smash.
A thunderous boom echoed as the other monsters turned sharply toward him, their eyes filled with menace. Unfazed, he unleashed Doomwave. A surge of blue flames erupted from him, roaring outward like a tidal wave.
The magic crashed into the monsters, reducing them to ash in an instant. When Leo saw this, he smiled while continuing with his attacks before coming to a stop. Following that, he watched as the creatures fled into the lake.
’Interesting, I wonder if there is ain’t giants in there,’ he thought.
Leo started flying over the open water, only to sense something below that interested him, but suddenly a tentacle shot out of the depths and swatted him away. The building-sized limb hit him, throwing him through the air.
Pain racked his body before crashing into the side of a mountain. Leo lay there as a headache appeared. ’’Arghh! That hurt bad,’ he muttered as he watched the sky above.
He noticed birds flying across the starry night, causing him to shake his head and stand before making his way back to the camp. An hour later, he landed outside his tent and made his way inside while yawning.
Leo sank into the bed, the weight of exhaustion pulling him under. Sleep claimed him swiftly, cocooning his weary body in a comforting embrace. As he drifted deeper into the dream world, his body quietly mended itself.
While sleeping, a notification popped up without him even knowing it, but he would have gotten excited when seeing it.

The following morning, Leo woke up feeling refreshed, which surprised him. He quickly noticed his body felt lighter, but didn’t bother for long before taking out some Moonstag Stew and started eating.
After finishing that bowl, he started eating more, which shocked him, as he was still hungry. While doing that, he bought ten uncommon spins to get more food to store in his Item Box for the future.
