"i want to ask you for something" Sonya said and Maxwell raise his head.
"can i leave the hospital. i hate hospitals. i can recover at home" she said and blink her eyes lovely at him.
"you should just bear with it. even though the shot did not hit you in a dangerous place you still need to undergo a lot of test and observation to be sure you are totally fine"
"its just my shoulder there is nothing wrong with me in any other place. please i don’t want to stay here at all. you will also be busy with taking care of Evelyn and Simon is there to take care of me" she pleaded again.
"no, i wont allow that. i will take you home but not your apartment but my place and you would stay there till you have fully recovered"
"but what about Evelyn? you should stay with her"
"don’t worry about her my mum is there with her already and also with Charles, Joyce and loveth" he replied then there was a tap on the door and Joyce, Micheal and loveth entered.
"how are you feeling?" Micheal asked.
"am okay" she answered. Joyce walk forward and fold her hands arrogantly then she cleared her throat noisily.
"well, i will be leaving so you can have Max all to yourself and also am sorry for trying to harm you and also Max you don’t have to apologize i forgive you" she said arrogantly.
"i have to leave now. my mum called and i think its kind of an emergency" Micheal said and left with Joyce leaving loveth behind. she move closer to her.
"loveth, you came back, come here" she said happily and loveth move closer to her.
"where did you go to? i tried to reach you a lot of times"
"am sorry Sonya. am really sorry"
"you don’t have to apologize the both of us were wrong i guess"
"no not that. it about something else. anyways, am sorry for being a jerk and also Mr Hart helped me with my brother's hospital bills. i need to leave now i will come back soon"
"just stay with Evelyn am leaving the hospital soon" she told her

Micheal and Joyce got home and met Amy in the sitting room with their parents. they greeted them while he wondered what was going on.
"the both of you should sit down" his mother instructed and Micheal went to Amy's side to sit beside her.
"what happened? how are you in my house?' he whispered.
"its a long story. where do you keep your phone?" she whispered back. Micheal touch his pocket but his phone was nowhere to be found.
"i was drunk so i called you and when the call was picked i thought it was you so i started babbling and it turned out to be your mother" she explained quietly.
"but what did you tell her to make her bring you here?"
"i expressed my dissatisfaction about that Maggie of a girl and scold you on the phone a little"
"i thought you were not jealous and was cool with it"
"what! i am not jealous at all. i just wanted to make known my dissatisfaction about it" she argued.
"okay, what is going on and why do i have to sit here and watch them exchange words i don’t understand?" Joyce suddenly speak up.
"its about your brother" their father said and they turn to the both of them.
"explain, who is she?"
"my girlfriend. we started dating less than a week now, i wanted to tell you but i was not able to" he answered.
"you have a girlfriend and you didn't tell me, what kind of a twin brother are you?" Joyce said surprised. Their parent remain silent for a while.
"mom, dad i know you want me to marry some girl from a rich family but i don’t think in the same way. i really love her and am going to marry her"
"what is your name?" his mother asked.
"Amy"
"what do you do?"
"am the secretary to Mr Hart"
"since when?"
"since he became the chairman. five years ago"
"what about your parents?"
"my mum is alive but my dad is no more and i have a step dad"
"mom. what are you trying to do?" Micheal asked.
"what does it look like?" she replied.
"when do you plan to marry my son?" she asked again.
"mom!" Joyce and Micheal said together.
"honey, you just met her today and they are just dating each other for now. lets take it easy with her" their father chipped in but Stephanie stopped him.
"i know you don’t care about having a grandchild anytime soon so if you won't help me then stay out of this" she snapped at him.
"its okay, am fine with it" Amy said.
"so what is your answer? do you plan on getting married to him or just after his money?"
"i want to get married to him and if you want us to get married right now, i will. also i will really like to give you a grandchild as soon as possible" she answered. Micheal was surprised at her respond.
"Amy do you know what you are saying?" he asked and held her.
"do you say that to deceive me?"
"no ma, I've loved him for about three years now and have dreamt about getting married to him many times" she answered.
"then in that case you can start calling me mother" Stephanie said and smiled at her.
"do you agree mom? i thought you want me to marry a rich girl"
"i didn't say you must marry a rich girl, but a girl who is higher in status than Maxwell's fiancee and she is"
"okay then, since your matter is settled can i go show my sister-in-law something upstairs" Joyce asked and without waiting for any of them reply she took Amy by the hand and head upstairs with her."announce to everyone and release news about my son's wedding before tomorrow morning. the wedding will take place next week" Stephanie said to her husband.
"wait mom, that is not possible. you cant just arrange for my wedding like that without my consent" his mom ignored him and continue to her room.
"i better start informing my friends about it and prepare. Ah, there are so many things to prepare" she said as she leave.
"dad, are you not going to say anything?' he turned to his dad.
"something like what? look your mom is happy and you said you love her and she loves you. look son, there is nothing you can do. you are getting married next week. congrats in advance" he said and also leaves.
"why am i not getting a say in my own wedding"

Maxwell pull up in his park and got down. he went to the other side of the car and helped Sonya out. then he carried her off the ground in a bridal style and entered the house. he took her straight to the bedroom and place her on the bed gently.
"where did you bring me to your room?" she asked.
"do you want me to leave you in the other room by yourself with an injured shoulder"
"that make sense" she said. Maxwell start to remove his clothes one after the other.
"why are you undressing in front of me? you should do that else where" she said and covered her eyes.
"where else can i undress? this is my room" he said and continue. after removing his shirt he stopped and took some water in the glass and gave it to her. Sonya stare at his body as he come closer and swallow hard. she took the water from his and drain it down in a second.
"i will take a shower first" he said and entered the bathroom. it was until he entered that Sonya regained her composure. she use her hand to blew some air to her body and touch her red face. she waited till he finish and came out putting on a pyjamas.
"can you bath alone or will you like me to help you"
"how can you help me bath, i can do that myself" she said and stood from the bed.
"but i will need you to help me wash my hair" she said before she enter the bathroom. Maxwell open the door to the bathroom and followed her inside. she sat down and told him what to use and how to do it then he get to work. after putting the hair wash in her hair he poured little water and start to scrub her hair gently. he finished scrubbing and poured water to wash it away then he accidentally sprinkled some on her body. Sonya let out a little noise.
"sorry, did it get on your shoulder?" he asked and check it.
"i think its fine just my clothes" she said and realize that with the way the water splash on her clothes then her body will be seen through the wet clothes. Maxwell was still trying to see if her shoulder is fine when he noticed it. she was putting on a tiger strip half bra. he stare at her chest and move his hand to touch her. then he stopped.
"i will get someone to come help you" he said and quickly bolted out before he wouldn't be able to control himself. in less than a minute, one of the house help came up and helped Sonya bath and change her clothes. because her shoulder is injured she has to wear a gown without sleeve. Maxwell had some food bought to them in the room and after eating and feeding her to eat, the maid came back to get the plate.
"am sure you must be tired, get some sleep now" he told her.
"yes i am but before i sleep, you promised me you would explain everything to me"
"cant that wait till tomorrow?"
"no am really curious but before that, i heard Micheal said that you saved his life. tell me about that" she said.
"okay fine, its like this. when i was eight years old, we went to country Z together. kelvin stays with us then and Micheal insisted on going with me so the three of us together we were playing hide and seek. then we could find kelvin and we went deep in the forest. we have after a while but we were also lost in the forest then while we look for the way out, Micheal went to a cliff and almost fell down from it but then we pull him back, then kelv6in also slipped and as i was trying to pull him also i fell in his instead. buy luckily it was not that high and i was also saved by a little girl who was also lost there. we stayed together for a whole day then when we were too hungry we had to eat a dead chicken we saw there. that's why i dint eat chicken since then" Sonya pondered on his explained. she somewhat find what he told her familiar.
"what a coincidence! i was also lost in the bush when i was barely three years old but i don't quite have a clear memory of it" she said.
"but back then, i sustain the scar on my tummy"
"let me see" Maxwell said and raise her cloth before she could talk. he checked it and smile at her.
"so you are the same girl who made me hate chicken"
"what do you mean?" she asked but Maxwell covered her mouth with a kiss. they kissed slowly and suck on each others lips playfully.
"did he mean that she was the girl who was with him down the cliff? if that is true then its means that she has met him way back when they were still kids. so the only guy she has ever met in her life is him" she thought happily. Maxwell noticed that she was not concentrating on their kiss and move to her neck. Sonya used her hand to prevent him from continuing.
"am still injured" she said lowly.
"i know" he replied and continues
