But not everyone shared his reasoning.
Among them, one voice roared in defiance—Chiyo, the elder who had lost both her son and daughter-in-law in this very war.
She was consumed by vengeance. And now that White Fang stood on the battlefield, she saw her chance.
"Not until he's dead!"
Though the Third Kazekage saw the danger in prolonging the war, he couldn't simply silence Chiyo. She wasn't just a grieving mother—she was a legend.
A disciple of the First Puppet Master, Monzaemon, her position in Sunagakure rivaled even the power of someone like Shimura Danzō in Konoha. She couldn't be dismissed lightly.
Still, cracks were forming.
Voices within the Sand village began to rise—quiet at first, then louder—supporting the Kazekage's push for peace. War had drained them. The cost was growing too steep.
Chiyo, sensing her influence slipping, made a bold declaration:
"One final assault. Grant me this, and win or lose, I'll resign from my post. I'll step down and never meddle in the village's affairs again."
It was a gamble. But one the Kazekage couldn't ignore.
Her resignation would grant him full control. So, with a grim nod, he approved her final charge.
The yellow sand battlefield churned with tension.
On Konoha's side, White Fang stood tall—blade drawn, eyes sharp.
Beside him was Guts, arms folded, expression calm as he peered into the storm of movement in the distance.
The Sand army was coming—fast.
Two presences stood out like black flames in the wind: Third Kazekage and Chiyo—both burning with purpose.
Said Orochimaru, the commanding officer, eyes narrowed.
Guts cracked his neck, glancing at his uncle.
"I'll leave that crazy old woman to you, Uncle. I'm not really good at handling wild grannies."
White Fang chuckled, though it was more of a sigh.
"She wants my life? She's welcome to try."
He stepped forward, his presence shifting.
Power rolled off him in waves—undeniable, crushing. Even Chiyo flinched, despite her rage.
"Konoha's White Fang!!!" she howled.
Without warning, she unleashed her famous puppet technique—White Secret Technique: The Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets.
A swarm of wooden limbs and steel blades rushed toward White Fang like a bladed tide.
"Guess she really is out for blood."
But before the fight could fully erupt, Guts took a step—and then disappeared.
He shot forward like a cannonball, a blur of momentum crashing into the Sand ranks.
A single punch—and a shockwave erupted. Sand Shinobi were launched into the air, limbs flailing, as if caught in a hurricane.
Within a ten-meter radius, dozens of bodies flew like broken kites.
Guts stood at the center, his knuckles crackling.
"Alright," he muttered.
If anyone from the One Piece world had seen this, they might've cried out:
"That's Garp! It has to be!"
Just then—whoosh!—an orange fireball came flying from the right, fast as a bullet.
Guts tilted his head casually, letting it pass, but the fireball curved back around like a heat-seeking missile.
"Tracking jutsu?" he mused.
Planting his feet, he raised one palm.
With a flash of iron-hard skin, he caught the fireball head-on, and with a flex of muscle, smashed it into embers.
Someone gasped nearby.
"What… how old is that kid?!"
Even Konoha shinobi were taken aback.
But the sparks didn't fade. They flickered—and then reformed into another fireball, flying back to its source.
Guts followed the trail with his eyes—and spotted her.
A girl, no older than Minato, stood calmly across the battlefield.
Her hair was green at the roots, fading into orange, and her gaze was cold and precise.
Not as striking as Tsunade or Kurenai, but still beautiful in her own right.
"Interesting... Kekkei Genkai?" Guts murmured with a grin.
She said nothing, but four more fireballs hovered around her like obedient pets, glowing hotter than ordinary flame.
A Konoha Chūnin called out.
"That's Pakura, of the Scorch Release!"
Guts raised an eyebrow.
"Huh. Pretty, but not my type. Cold girls just don't do it for me."
Pakura responded by launching the fireballs—one after another.
But Guts vanished again.
Pakura's eyes widened. She turned—and there he was, standing behind her.
"I don't usually hit women,"
He said casually, clenching his fist.
"But if you're trying to kill me…"
"...It's only fair I ask—can your flames burn my fist?"
