Naruto: Konoha's Psychic Chapter 13

Inoichi entered his home, his face drawn with exhaustion and frustration. He dropped into a seat in the hall, his shoulders slumped. The moment his wife saw him, concern flashed across her face. "What happened? Why do you look ?" she asked, worry clear in her voice. Before Inoichi could respond, the door creaked open, and Shikaku and Choza stepped inside, both wearing equally grim expressions. Inoichi's gaze shifted to Shikaku, and he spoke with a tight voice. "Shikaku, you're the sharpest of us all. Did you see this coming? Could you have predicted something ?" Shikaku hesitated, his sigh cutting through the tense air. "Not entirely," he admitted. "I thought, given our position as the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, that the Hokage would at least offer some token punishment for Danzo. But he didn't. He did nothing... and that surprised me." Inoichi's fists clenched, his knuckles turning white with suppressed rage. "My son was attacked today, and I can't even get justice for him. I don't even want to imagine what could have happened if Inoiki had been captured and taken to ROOT." The room felt heavy with unspoken anger, but the tension was shattered by a sudden, sharp cry from Inoiki's mother. "WHAT!? Inoiki was attacked today? Why haven't I heard about this?" Just then, Inoiki's voice came from the doorway. "Calm down, Mom. Nothing happened. I'm fine." His mother, still worried, rushed over, inspecting him from head to toe. It wasn't until she was satisfied that her son was unharmed that she finally relaxed. Inoiki turned to his father. "Dad, don't stress yourself out over this or feel guilty about not getting me justice. I'm okay. Instead of complaining about the Hokage, we should focus on protecting the younger generation of our clan. If the village won't safeguard us, then we need to do it ourselves." He paused, glancing at Shikaku, Choza, and then back to Inoichi. "Let's be honest—none of you saw this coming, right? You believed that because of your loyalty and years of service, you'd be treated differently. You thought your bond with the village would outweigh Danzo's influence, but you overestimated how much your loyalty is worth compared to him." Shikaku, Choza, and Inoichi exchanged uneasy glances, the truth in his words sinking in. They had, indeed, misjudged their standing. Seeing their silent acknowledgment, Inoiki spoke again, his voice calm but firm. "Don't worry. I promise you, within six years, I'll become strong enough that even the Hokage will think twice before threatening anyone from the Ino-Shika-Cho clan. And with the Ninja Academy starting tomorrow, that's the perfect place to begin." Shikaku nodded with a faint smile. "Inoiki's right. We just need to be patient. Once he grows into his potential, our problems will resolve themselves. Besides, with the Ninja Academy starting soon, the children will be occupied." "Absolutely," Choza agreed, his grin widening. "We just have to trust in Inoiki." Inoichi, moved by their words, stood up and walked over to his son. Placing a firm hand on Inoiki's shoulder, he looked him in the eye. "I believe in you, son. You're going to do it. Not just become one of the strongest in Konoha—but one of the strongest in the world." The heavy mood that had lingered in the room finally lifted, replaced by a quiet sense of optimism. Everyone seemed more at ease. Inoiki's mother, her earlier worry now gone, turned to Shikaku and Choza with a warm smile. "Why don't you both stay for dinner with us?" she offered kindly. Shikaku shook his head gently. "Thanks, but our families are waiting for us. We should be heading home." Choza nodded in agreement. "We'd better get back before our wives start wondering where we've disappeared to." With that, they exchanged farewells and left, leaving behind a much lighter, more hopeful atmosphere. The Inoichi family—Inoichi, Inoiki, his mother, and Ino—sat down to dinner that evening. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious, filled with conversation and laughter. Though Inoichi still harbored some resentment deep in his heart, frustrated by his inability to seek justice for his son, he knew that for now, there was little he could do. So he set his anger aside and focused on enjoying this peaceful moment with his family, burying his unresolved feelings for the time being. The next day, Inoiki and Ino left for the Ninja Academy with their parents. As they made their way through the village, they crossed paths with Shikamaru and his family, as well as Choza and his. The parents chatted amongst themselves, while the children exchanged excited conversations about the day ahead. After a short walk, they arrived at the gates of the Ninja Academy. The area was bustling with activity—parents gathered to see their children off on their first day, filling the air with lively chatter. Inoiki scanned the crowd, searching for someone, and soon his eyes found him: Naruto, standing alone, far from the gathering of families. The other villagers kept their distance from him, and whispers of "demon fox" could be heard from those who thought no one was listening. Inoiki, with his keen senses as a ninja, heard every word, as did Naruto. Naruto stood in silence, enduring the cruel remarks without a word, his face blank but his eyes reflecting the hurt he couldn't fully hide. He had grown used to the rejection, but it still stung every time. Inoiki felt a pang of sympathy, knowing the pain of being outcast, even if in a different way. He watched for a moment longer, thinking about how unfairly Naruto was treated despite everything he had gone through. You can read 09 Chapters ahead of everyone on .
