"Asshole, stay right there, don’t move, don’t go anywhere!"
Veronica’s roar echoed through the sewer.
The camera zoomed in on the suitcase with clothes, shoes, and socks neatly arranged on it, Veronica put them on in order.
She was meticulous throughout the process, fast but not messy. She buttoned up every button, smoothed out creases to ensure the collar was even on both sides, and didn’t forget to pin up her disheveled hair.
On the other side, Wayne just stood there, not going anywhere.

Veronica’s evolution only lasted two hours before it ended, the flames dissipated, mobility restored, and at the first chance, she dismantled the lecher’s spy network.
Wayne arrived second, bringing Veronica’s suitcase, and seeing the lecher had not only not run away but actually came forward to face death, she swung her fist ready to deliver a blow.

"Obediently, I won’t go anywhere, just wait for you to get dressed then you can hit me all you want without me fighting back."
Veronica covered her chest with one hand, thinking it made sense indeed, who fights naked? That’s not revenge; that’s giving out benefits.
She glared at the lecher, telling him to wait for his beating, and quickly got dressed.
Wayne enjoyed the beautiful sight of the college girl getting dressed, shaking his head in regret.
He thought he could watch for a couple more days, no, he thought such a precious treasure as Dragon Blood, Veronica wouldn’t digest within two or three days, and the evolution would last a long time.
He never expected it to be over while sharpening a sword.

Ten minutes later, Wayne stopped, ensuring that Veronica’s rage had faded in the back-and-forth, and surrendered with both hands raised.
The advantage he sought had been taken, and the beating he deserved was unavoidable, part of the strategy.
It was necessary to let the girl know she had reclaimed her ground, and that the lecher hadn’t gotten the better of her for nothing.
Veronica came furiously, a punch landing on Wayne’s face, sending him flying backward, bouncing several times across the slippery sewer floor.
This round of strategy could be considered complete, to be continued next time.
Handling a lady like Veronica, who liked to express affection with violence, repressing her nature would backfire and lead to an increasing distance between them. Thus, taking a few punches was a must when tallying up the progress.
Only after taking hits could the strategy be considered up to standard.
Putting it bluntly, or rather using a scummier expression, Wayne was KFCing it.
He took advantage, Veronica handled the violence. Over time, she would habituate to being taken advantage of, believing it’s okay because she could hit back.
Eventually, it became the mother of his children hitting their father.

"By the way, did that ’someone’ use the same trick when taming Dragon Blood Girl?"
Wayne muttered quietly, entertaining a possibility, nearly bursting with swear words at the thought—shameless, faceless, scum, using such cunning tactics on a cute and kind girl, such social trash deserved to be cemented in a barrel and dumped in a river.
He’s alright with a double standard since his hypocrisy knew no bounds.
Veronica caught up to him, seeing Wayne holding his nose and lying on the ground, unfulfilled, her fists still itching to land more hits, she didn’t think twice before straddling him.
Lifting Wayne’s collar, she raised an eyebrow, menacingly said, "Run, why don’t you keep running?"
"Can’t run anymore, go ahead and hit me, this time I promise..."
Wayne was cut off mid-sentence, sniffing with surprise, "Eh, Teacher, how did you get here?"
"Huh, still trying to fool me!"
Veronica was furious, punching Wayne in the face again. There’s a limit to disrespect; using the same trick twice was like treating her as if she were gullible.
