Mythology Rebooted Chapter 146

Gasping for breath, Magic walked into the heart chamber from another passage, unbuttoned his shirt, and complained about the terrible conditions. The soldiers aimed their guns at Magic, and with Heidi’s command, the sound of bullets being fired was incessant. After a barrage of bullets, Magic stood unscathed, shaking his arm that gradually became transparent, and then vanished with a laugh. Following that, another Magic emerged, laughing as he said to everyone, "Stop shooting, in such a hot environment, a barrel explosion would only hurt you." "You didn’t ambush you..." Heidi’s face turned ghastly pale, a thick bloodlust spreading in her eyes, and after a low roar, she ripped open her white shirt on the chest. Not revealing the full circle, green scales were attached to her chest, and her whole body swelled up, transforming into a large crocodile walking on two legs. In a certain sense, this was also Dragon. After the transformation, Heidi stood over three meters tall, her body covered in scales, with strong limbs, she swung her sharp claws, seized a soldier, and took a big bite out of him. The rest of the soldiers seemed completely unresponsive, as if hypnotized, and reloaded their submachine guns on their own. Magic’s expression was serious, "Look at your disgrace, the Evil God of Hell also has aesthetic standards, he won’t give you the chance to give birth to a Malevolent Spirit, he will only possess your body. Snap out of it, there is still time to let go now." Heidi roared furiously, deeply agitated by the truth, her claws creating waves of blood as she charged towards Magic with a thunderous crash. Magic dodged like a matador mocking Heidi, who relied solely on brute strength, and he didn’t forget to sprinkle salt on her wounds by mocking her foolish delusions. Many beauties, like Heidi, believed that their beauty and intelligence would win the Devil’s favor, not knowing that the Devil never lacked beautiful lovers. "Are you aware of the Succubus? That is the true enchantress." Speaking of which, Magic couldn’t go on and lamented how even the Evil God of Hell got brainwashed by popular aesthetics. The secularization of Hell will be its demise eventually! Heidi shouted furiously, seizing soldiers one by one, munching and swallowing, as her eyes turned deep red, so intense that blood tears streamed down. After the beating of her heart crazily accelerated, the boss began her second transformation. The three-meter-tall crocodile shrunk down to two meters, with slender limbs and a graceful figure, and although some scales still covered her body, most of it had turned back into smooth, fair skin. Especially her face, Heidi had reverted to her original human visage, with red eyes and dark bloodstains, exuding a wicked and bewitching allure. Magic, now understanding something was wrong, believed the Devil was truly serious this time, and not just fooling around. He just didn’t comprehend why Heidi, who had become powerful through the Blood Faith and found her father’s hiding place, and could enter on her own, still needed to have two foreign Mages do it for her. Was there another reason for the entrance? Or was it a task from her master? A strong gale came howling, and Magic, unable to think further, dodged immediately by diverting his illusion. Just then, an intense palpitation hit him, and the blood in his veins uncontrollably surged backward for a moment. Agony swept through him as if a steel needle had been plunged into the back of his head; Magic’s vision blurred, he was knocked flying, and crashed hard into the wall, embedding into it. Blood reddened his white shirt, but Magic clenched his teeth and stayed conscious as a holy radiance blossomed, healing his damaged organs and bones. A red blood shadow rushed over, and in his panic, he tried to dodge with a move resembling a last-ditch attempt for safety, landing on his backside with a grimace. Heidi pulled out her right arm, which had been embedded into the rock wall; her slender, fair arm looked no different from a normal person’s, the red nails long as if manicured. She glared fiercely at Magic, clashed their minds, breaking through his mental defenses, and took control of the blood flow once again. Magic was pressed against the stone wall, his neck tightly gripped by her delicate hands, completely losing the ability to fight. Heidi looked down at Magic from above, stretched out her left hand to rip off his white shirt, and threw the Crucifix pendant away with force, "Mage, your blood smells so tempting." She whispered close to Magic’s cheek, seductively licking the blood with her tongue. Magic’s eye twitched and after a moment, he said, "Don’t do that, you’re the Devil’s lover; he’ll misunderstand and think you’re cheating on him." Heidi paused briefly, then aggressively twisted Magic’s head aside, ready to take a warm bite from his neck. At that moment, Magic raised his arms level, forming the shape of a Crucifix, with Holy Light bursting forth. The light, so intense that it overwhelmed the Magic Array, condensed into the form of a holy spear before releasing and piercing easily through Heidi’s torso. The palm-sized hole eradicated her breastbone, spine, heart, and instantly withered the life out of Heidi. She slumped to the ground, her body reverting to human form. Gasping for air, Magic leaned against the wall, Holy Light coursing through him, slowly healing his battered body. "The magic of blood is still so thorny. Could it be that those old fools were right... Humanity does have its limits." Two minutes later, Magic shook his groggy head, barely recovering to eighty percent fighting strength, and turned to look at Myron Bart, who had been sitting motionless, "Mr. Bart, if I’m not mistaken, my client is you, not your son Hayden. You fabricated a nice dream for him." "Yes, I deeply regret making a deal with the Devil. My body is gradually getting out of my control, as is my family. The deal with the Devil has caused members of my family to dream of him too, especially the outstanding ones..."
