CHAPTER 25

Bonnie never expected anyone to ask her such question yet. She kept giving Elena a quizzical look as Alex urged her.
"Come on Bonnie, answer her question. I've been dead curious"
"Yeah, me too" Laura added as they all stared at her as if she was the most important thing in the world at that moment.
Her tensed gradually reduced as she heaved a sigh and placed her hands on her laps.
"Well, if I hadn't left, I could have been killed too. And maybe more people would have died on that carousel" Bonnie said casting down her face as she raised her head to stare at Peter's bandaged arm.
"Why do you say so?" Laura asked her as she breathed down.
"Ok, I told Peter and Alex earlier today that I had a dream where I was a ghost, not a human. But they didn't take it seriously, they thought maybe it's a figment of my imaginations or some sort of dreams" she said and frowned as she stopped. She observed the curiosity written all over their faces as she continued.
"But I know myself. My dreams aren't just mere dreams, they're more like a revelation, so I couldn't get the dream off my head. I just decided to be careful" she said and stopped again as Elena marveled at how smart and gifted a 9years old could be. She doesn't only understands Latin, she's damn smart too.
"Then what happened at the park?" Alex asked as he observed his sister who ensured that they were following up her narration by searching their faces.
"Peter went away, answering a phone call. I was at one of the horses, riding the carousel. Then I saw a man, putting on black. I couldn't see what he looks like because he was wearing a hoodie. I know adults aren't supposed to ride carousels that are meant for kids. I panicked when I recalled the nightmare I had. And worse of it all, no one was paying attention to this strange man. So, I got down from the carousel and sighted Peter making a call, the man got down from the horse too. I hastened my footsteps and walked in front of lots of people so he wouldn't see me. When I stopped and check if he was actually following me or I was just being paranoid. I found out he was actually looking for me and had a gun, that was when I ran" she explained as they just stared at her.
"Wow!" That was all Laura could say.
"You did great honey, Peter would be so proud of you" Alex said as she smiled but the smile disappeared immediately it surface as she stared at unconscious Peter.
The room went dead silence again.
"I'm gonna use the bathroom" Laura left. Then the silence started again as Elena broke it.
"I'm sorry Alex, you were right about Bryan all these while. He said it to my face that I'm way out of his league" Elena said bowing her head.
"It's ok , I'm no longer mad at you. And I've always known from the start that Bryan was such a jerk. I know a playboy when I see one" Alex said.
"Yh right. I even caught him making out with Linda" Elena said as tears rolled down her cheeks while Laura walked up to her and sat by her side.
"Hey hey hey. It's ok. Are you sure you wanna talk about this now? Today has really been a bad day for all of us" Laura said patting her back as she sniffed.
"Don't cry Elena. He doesn't deserve you. A guy that makes you cry, doesn't deserve you at all" Bonnie said.
"Bonnie I'll love it if you'll shut up. None of these stuff concerns you" Alex said getting annoyed.
"Yh Yh, whatever" she said lackadaisical.
"Hey! If you want any tips based on your next relationship, I'll be glad to help you" Bonnie whispered to Elena making Alex more angry.
"I heard that! Just shut the fuck up already!" He yelled at her.
"When I went to the rest room, I saw the cops" Laura said in quest to change the topic of conversation.
"What are they doing here?" Alex asked bewildered.
"They were talking to Doctor Erica. I couldn't help it but eavesdropping" she said.
"And what did you hear?" Elena added.
"They were asking about the bullet. They want to track the gun the killer used on Peter. Maybe they might find it related to some ex convict or something. And if the gun is even registered" she said as Peter shook his left fingers.
"Did they say the type of gun he used?" Elena asked shining her eyes.
"I didn't stay till they finish their conversation, the nurses were passing through, I had to leave. I don't know what I would say if I got caught and interrogated on what I was doing there eavesdropping on their conversation" she replied
"The Fuck! Whoa" Alex said.
"Alex, no using the F word" Bonnie said as her eyes darted to Peters moving fingers.
"Did you see that? He shook his fingers' she said as they observed too.
"Yh, I'm going to get the doctor" Laura said leaving the room.
In less than 5minutes she returned with the doctor and a nurse.
The nurse checked his pulse and his pupils as she smiled.
"Yh, he's gonna be ok' The doctor said as Alex, Elena and Laura heaved a sigh of relief.
"You hear that Peter? She said you're gonna be ok. Just hang in there for me" Bonnie said with a teary voice while excited.
"Can you please remind me where I met this girl?" Doc Erica whispered to the nurse who stared at Bonnie.
"Oh yes! She's looks like the little kid Sarah Bellos drew" the nurse said to the Freaks hearing as they were taken aback.
"Of course! Now I remember" Erica said and left.
"What?" Alex asked.
"Yh, a week ago, Sarah drew a potrate of someone that looks like her" the nurse said.
"Can we see the potrate?" Laura asked as the nurse nodded and left.
Few minutes later she was back with the drawing book.
She handed it over to them, they thanked her as she left and promised to check back on them, by then, it was 11:03pm already.
They all gathered and stared at the potrate except Bonnie who was clinging on to Peter.(this story is written by Naomi Innocent)
"This is exactly the potrate sarah showed me and it had same code *02082023*" Elena said.
"Which means, she drew this when she was admitted in the hospital " Laura said.
"I feel, if we can make Sarah show us more of her drawings, we could somehow prevent most of the deaths that might occur" Elena said.
"Yh, putting our lives in more danger! Just take a look at Peter lying down there, on drip and unconscious!" Alex yelled.
"Yh! He's there because he saved your sister. Mystic Hollow needs our help. We are the only ones that understands this. Yes, we can't stop or kill the killer. But we can prevent most of the deaths from occuring with the help of Sarah" Elena fired back at him.
Bonnie walked up to them as she took the potrate from them and stared at what was making them yell at each other.
"Ok, why does this kid looks like me? And why the hell does it has my birth date on it?" She asked staring at the potrate.
"Because she is you" Alex corrected.
"Ok, this is weird. Who drew this?' She further interrogated.
"It's Sarah Bellos" Elena told her.
"And who the hell is Sarah Bellos?" She asked as they got tired of her interrogations.
"There are some secrets that are better left untold" Alex told her.
"Yh, I remember that line, I deciphered it from that in linbro de morte you guys brought from hell. And the fuck? It's about me here and you don't want to tell me?" Bonnie whined.
"You dont understand Bonnie. It's complicated." Laura stated.
"Well, guess you've forgotten my middle name is complications itself. So shoot your best shot" Bonnie said folding her arms as they gave up. Elena walked up to her and squatted before her.
"See Bonnie, we think the guy that tried killing you today is the serial killer that kills people everyday. And Sarah Bellos is the owner of that journal you deciphered. She is just like you, she doesn't write in English, she writes in ancient languages. She always see deaths before they occur. She showed me you're the next target that's why I told Peter and we were able to prevent it. She predicted your death a week ago but it didn't came to pass because we were notified and were able to act aganst it. So we think maybe if she shows us more deaths, we could somehow prevent them" Elena summarized.
"Ok, that sounds like a girl I wanna meet. How about I join your crew huh? Like I join you guys preventing deaths too? I could be useful to you guys. I understand all kind of languages, be it Latin, Greek, name all you can. I'll decipher it for you" Bonnie said as they stared at her.

Sarah sat down facing her wall clock on the wall. The room was quiet as the ticking sound of clock was heard.
She stood up from her bed, opened her chest and brought out her journal as she wrote on it in Latin.
