My Werewolf System Chapter 1462

While Chen and Austin were doing their best to protect Don Tinge, Chen had taken a brief moment to explain exactly what kind of Altered form Don possessed. Austin had listened carefully, repeating the strange description in his head. “A dragon of the sea?” Austin muttered, raising a brow. “I guess it’s more of a nickname than anything official, doesn’t sound like it’s an actual dragon.” Still, the name stirred something in him. Unbidden, images flashed in Austin’s mind, memories of that fierce battle against Harvor. He imagined what he would do if he were in Don’s position right now. He pictured himself shifting into his full dragon form, golden scales blazing under the stormy sky, and unleashing a devastating beam of light that could wipe out a hundred Werewolves in an instant. “Well,” Austin said under his breath, “let’s just hope he’s got the power to match the name.” The Werewolves now stood poised, eyes locked on Don’s changing form. Even before his transformation was complete, he had already struck two of them aside, so quickly and cleanly that they couldn’t even tell what had hit them. Regardless of that display, the Werewolves were brimming with confidence. With the advantage of their numbers and the protection of their specialized armor, they surged forward in a coordinated charge. Don, however, only smiled. He could see them coming from both sides, a mass of snarling fur and steel. Any normal fighter, even an extremely strong one, would be overwhelmed in such a situation. But Don wasn’t just strong. Planting his feet, he kicked off the ground, gliding like a spear of light straight down the middle of their formation. In his wake, massive waves of water erupted from the ground, exploding outward from either side of his path. They weren’t slow, rolling tides, they were sharp, roaring jets of water, fast as arrows and heavy as falling stone. The twin walls smashed into the charging Werewolves, flinging them high into the air like ragdolls. It was over in a blink, a single, unbroken stream of destruction down the center line. Don came to a halt, only for one of the surviving Werewolves to step forward. This one gripped a strange, specialized sword in both hands and swung it with all their might, aiming to cleave Don’s head from his shoulders. Don raised his forearm in a swift, fluid motion, swinging it against the incoming blade. The weapon didn’t just crack, it was completely severed, the cut so clean it seemed unreal. Anyone looking closely would see why: a fine, lethal current of water shimmered along the sharp edges of his bladed fins. Without missing a beat, Don lashed out with his other arm. A long, glistening arc of razor-sharp water materialized in the air, slicing through space itself. The Werewolf froze mid-attack, unmoving for a heartbeat, until their body slid apart in two perfect halves. More enemies were rushing toward him now. Don’s body spun in place, gathering momentum. The rain cascading from above and the water pooled on the ground responded to him as if alive, twisting into a powerful vortex that lifted him effortlessly into the air. Just like before, anyone who dared get close was struck and sent flying, their bodies battered with severe wounds. It was just water, pure, flowing water, and yet the impact felt as if they had been slammed by a truck at full speed. Balanced atop the swirling vortex beneath his feet, Don scanned the battlefield. The ground was littered with large puddles where Werewolves had fallen or staggered back. He extended both hands outward. The puddles exploded. From each one, a violent column of water erupted upward, bursting with the force of a volcanic blast. The gushing torrents sent Werewolves spinning and flipping helplessly through the air, their armored bodies hammered by the crushing weight of the water’s impact. One after another, Don triggered the detonations, the battlefield becoming a storm of spray, motion, and screams. But as the last few geysers faded, the spinning vortex beneath him began to lose momentum, spiraling slower and slower until it collapsed entirely. His feet touched down lightly on the soaked ground. He could tell from the way his enemies still moved, staggering, but far from defeated, that his attacks were hurting them, but not enough to end this. If he wanted them down for good, he would have to do it directly. The moment his boots hit solid ground, a massive shield swung toward him, backed by brutal force. Don reacted instantly, bringing up the bladed edge of his forearm to intercept. The impact rang out like a crack of thunder, and for the first time in the fight, his expression shifted slightly. “Oh...” Don murmured, tilting his head. “The shield didn’t break... and your strength, quite impressive. I should have expected as much, facing one of the King’s own.” It was Broodie. Their weapons locked, muscles straining against one another in a battle of raw strength. Don’s eyes narrowed. In one smooth motion, he slid his foot across the shallow water pooled on the floor and flicked it outward. His kick didn’t actually touch Broodie, but it didn’t need to. The water lashed out like a coiled serpent, striking with a crushing weight that felt like the full force of a seasoned Altered’s punch. Broodie’s body was hurled backward, smashing into the ground with enough force to fracture the concrete. He dug his claws into the cracked floor to halt his slide, muscles flexing as he forced himself upright again. “You’ve got quite the weapon there,” Don said, a small smirk tugging at his lips. “I suppose I should make one of my own.” He raised one hand high into the air. Above him, raindrops began to gather, drawn together as if pulled by an invisible force. They swirled, compressed, and shaped themselves into something long, sleek, and deadly. In seconds, a trident of pure water materialized in his grip, its points gleaming under the grey, rain-filled sky. Until now, the Leviathan Altered had relied mostly on his elemental control, using speed, precision, and crushing water attacks to overwhelm his foes. But the opponents standing before him now... they weren’t even worthy of seeing his true power. For updates for MWS and future works, please follow me on my social media below.
